My wife and I were in the area for our anniversary and stopped in to do some shopping. This place was really a pleasant surprise! The selection of clothing was on point, I loved walking around the store and seeing the variety and thought put into every piece. In addition to clothing, the service was top notch. I'm not a huge fan of hands on service in stores, I kind of like to just do my own thing. However, I know many people appreciate the attention. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Awful experience with a worker who watched our every move and was very judgmental. There was no reason for any suspicious actions to be taken and my friends and I were being targeted for our age which is 18. The lady working should not have been breathing down our necks and never asked us how we were doing or if we needed help. Will never give this store my business again. read more

Galvanic is fantastic. If you are a man, like mens clothing, know a man that would appreciate a store for men, or are curious; please stop by Galvanic. It's a brick and mortar version of Huckberry. You'll find stuff that would inspire the folk over at Art of Manliness. I visited recently on my yearly trip down and got to talk to the owner. He's a very smart, fit young man who clearly has a direction he wishes to follow. The wife, being in the garment industry, gave him a business contact while I pointed him in the direction of some low key, top quality American makers as possible suppliers to his already well stocked inventory. He carries stock that fits in with a variety of styles, and has retrofitted the place to be very warm and inviting. Awesome selection of well designed casual wear and beachwear. They tend to focus on smaller, less known brands. Two of my favorites are Iron and Resin and ourCASTE. Store is well designed and products are neatly organized. Ryan, the owner, is always bringing in unique pieces and is really knowledgable about the brands carries. It's hard to find reasonably priced, quality menswear stores, so it was a nice surprise to walk into Galvanic. They have a good selection of American heritage men's clothing (Woolrich, Tellason jeans, etc) and the owner is attentive and pleasant. Lots of Made in USA. read more

Such a cool store! Thank god we are only visiting otherwise my fiance would be in the store every week. The designs are very edgy cool and now. There are pieces that could fit every young professional today, from the hip hop Cali style to relaxed everyday guy. Great selection of Hershel bags. And the staff are so nice!! I was standing outside with our dog and one of the guys who worked there told me I could bring her in. I was so surprised but excited. This store is fantastic. Has lots of cool men's clothing and accessories. I know they have good stuff because I already shop a lot of the brands they have! I recently bought a wallet while I was down the shore, but when I got home to the Philly burbs I realized I wanted a different one. I called them up and Ryan said I could mail it back to him and he'd make the exchange no problem. I had my new wallet within a week! Very fine quality leather with lots of color options. I purchased a Stutterheim charcoal grey rain coat. in the store, the employees told me that are "indestructable". The $300 rain coat is coming apart on the seams. Five months ago, I contacted the store. Several employees said that they would be able to replace it. In December, a manager offered to send a replacement of a different color and I could send the defective coat back. I continued to be told " we will have someone get back to you" Today Nick called me back and offered to sell me another coat ( instead of the replacing it ... that they told me last month) at 50% off. The store has been putting off resolving the issue for almost 6 months. in theþ six months have told me that they would replace it .... offered to send me the jacket in another color ... and NOW WANTS another 150 dollars. Amazing store. I was on a roadtrip passing through cape may, and I am happy I passed by. I am originally from brooklyn and there are alot of stores like this but none that have such a varied amount of brands of the same similar style that I love. Wish there was a store closer to NYC! Galvanic has an incredible selection of high quality and unique clothing for young men that isn't paralleled by any other shops that I have found in Cape May. The shop carries a modern look with vintage overtones and each piece of clothing stands out from one another. The man who owns and operates the store is incredibly friendly and helpful and truly cares about each article of clothing that comes into his store. It is also beautifully decorated; the lighting is very hip and inviting, the wood in the store is actually barn wood from Vermont, the floors are poured cement which is very unique for a small shop in that shopping strip, and all of the other little decorations just give the store a very trendy and unique vibe. If you are a man who appreciates quality and fashionable clothing with a bit of a vintage spin, I'm sure that you would appreciate Galvanic and have a hard time leaving without a purchase. read more
