He did a great job on my color and cut. He was also trying to do a couple of women who were in town going to a wedding. Located on the Isla Verde strip of hotels he seems to get foot traffic from hotels but also had local women who were also there for regular appointments. This is a small but nice shop above a strip of stores. I was pleased with my service but kinda wish I had gotten it done on Friday when I stopped by and was his only customer.

She was very polite, wrote down my name and number and told me to come back in 20mins. Upon returning, the receptionist was not in front. I walk in to find Emily. I inquired about the appointment I made 20mins prior which she seemed very unkeen about (almost as if my appointment was an inconvenience). She sat me down and asked what did I have in mind for an updo. I wanted something chic however easy to do so I asked for a high sleek ponytail with the pony straightened (provided a photo reference). She carried on combing my hair only to say with an unhappy face "you have a lot of split ends". I expressed I was open to suggestions so she went on and recommended a braided crown. Sure, let's try it out. She did exactly that however, I was not impressed with the loose braid and asked if we can try it tighter and closer to the hairline so the crown is noticeable from the front. Which she did. She stepped away shortly after, came back and asked what did I think.... again, I was not impressed. She proceeded to slap her hands down and then say very rudely "you have to let me know then". Well, I thought I did? When I showed you what I wanted only to tell me I have split ends and that "that's not cute". Moving on, I asked again, what do you suggest other than a braided crown. She ignored the question, proceeded to unbraid my hair to then say AGAIN, very rudely.."you have split ends what do you want me to do with that?!". That was the moment I decided to walk out and not compensate this woman who insulted me THREE times. For a small establishment, I would expect the hair dressers here to provide better quality customer service especially when the charge for an updo (without a wash and dry) is $50. She is very detailed and professional, and the final product was even better than what I'd envisioned. The makeup lasted all day, even with all the dancing. The compliments from friends and family felt so amazing! Also, one of the most remarkable things about Lizzie is her ability to work wonderfully with autistic kids. My daughter and my stepdaughter, who are on the autism spectrum, felt (and looked) very comfortable with her. Regarding cost, her prices for these services are very good for the quality you get. Lizzie replied immediately and from day one she stayed in touch with me (excellent communicator by the way), and she also helped me beyond her call of duty! Overall the experience was "ah-mazing" and her work speaks for itself. I first hesitated when I had to ask her if she traveled to other remote islands only accessible by small planes or ferry and she immediately and enthusiastically agreed! Our photos came out amazing and her being beautiful herself, I insisted photographing her as well! Her knowledge of her trade, her region and up to date on the latest trends and color palettes are also a huge bonus! Love how fast and efficient she is!
