After interviewing several fabricators, we hired Colossus to fabricate and install new granite counters in our kitchen. Colossus did a fantastic job for us, from start to finish. Starting from our first meeting, they worked hard to educate us on the process, different types of granite, and everything else we needed to know - none of the other fabricators we interviewed bothered with that. Then they showed us several slabs, then sent us to a few distributors until we found the slab we wanted. Once we selected the slab and they received it at their shop, they discovered some defects in the slab. They were very proactive in notifying us and working with us to find a new slab, even price matching a more expensive slab (Magma) when we couldn't find a suitable slab of the original material. Once they had the final slab, we went to their shop and gave some input into the layout of the counters on the slab. They worked hard to make sure they knew what parts we liked so they could sort of feature them on the more visible parts of the counter. We would see after the install that they also did a great job matching up patterns between the counter and the backsplash, so that it all flowed together beautifully. Then came the installation. They arrived on time and performed the install. It did take much longer than I expected, but that had a lot to do with their very meticulous attention to detail. The material had a lot of quartz, which presents some challenges for the pieces that had to be cut on site. Plus there were some issues with the cabinets and walls that had to be worked around. They did a beautiful job with everything and we are extremely pleased with the result. When our plumber came to re-hook up the plumbing, he remarked that it was one of the three best counter installations he had ever seen! I have nothing but great things to say about Colossus Granite and Marble! My husband and I ended up at Colossus after almost giving up on a small project we were doing. We went to a couple of other places to see if they would be able to make a simple threshold to place in between our kitchen and dining room. We felt that because we only needed a small piece of granite, they did not want our business. When we walked into Colossus Granite we were greated with a very friendly atmosphere. We explained our need for a threshold to Kathleen and she took us out to their onsite stoneyard. She picked out 4 different pieces that would fit. It took some time and patience from my husband and Kathleen, but finally I decided on a beautiful piece!!! In my eyes Kathleen handled this project as if it was a huge kitchen we were picking out! She was patient, explained the project step-by-step and even explained where the granite came from and how to take care of it. The best part about it was that the piece only took a couple of days to complete. This one little piece of granite really brightened up the room!!! I enjoyed working with both Kathleen and Joe. Colossus Granite & Marble Inc. was recommended by our favorite handyman, Chuck Reighn, to update our kitchen countertops from formica to granite. I first met with Kathleen at the store and was immediately impressed. Kathleen is very straight forward and gave me the pros and cons of the different granite, countertop edges, and how Colossus operates. I like her frankness and appreciated her willingness to help me make an informed decision as we walked through the different granite slabs. I upgraded the sink they would provide and am pleased that I could go through Colossus instead of having to purchase one elsewhere. Joe came to measure my kitchen and took numerous measurements to insure that the granite would fit perfectly. He noted that the overhang on my formica countertops were short and recommended that we lengthen them at no additional cost. Joe was friendly and efficient. I purchased my faucet and new garbage disposal (I needed to replace the old one) from Home Depot and had them ready to let them know how many holes needed to be drilled and for when the handyman came back the day after installation to reconnect the plumbing. Excellent experience from start to finish! I went to Colossus in hopes to revamp my tiny bathroom. I was pleased with great customer service from the husband and wife duo. They were extremely knowledgeable and professional starting with my consultation. I was overwhelmed with plenty of options in their stone yard to browse through. I am not that particular person that puts reviews out being that I have an extremely busy work schedule and have no alot of free time BUT I had to send shout outs to Colossus Granite!! I went onto YELP to make my review and of course read the others. All I ask for future clients is to consider the source with negative clients reviews!! I have used 3 other fabricators in the past and it was just HORRIBLE! I recently started a bathroom project and needed some custom cut pieces. Colossus exceeded all of my expectations from the first phone call to when I picked up my completed pieces!! They were informative, helpful and very very easy to work with!! We got a high quality, exotic granite from Colossus for an extremely reasonable price. What sealed the deal for us using Colossus was not the price though. It was their desire to treat our kitchen as if it was their own. Significant attention to detail and patience while we asked many questions and mapped out our own template so that our kitchen "flowed" just how we wanted. Our kitchen remodel has been a long time coming, so the fact that Colossus cared as much as we did, really made us feel that our "work of art" was in the perfect hands. Colossus Granite has done three projects for me over the past several years and I couldn't be happier! Joe and Kathleen helped me every step of the way, from the project design phase to selection of stone to subcontractor. Their attention to detail is extensive and impeccable. One project they did for me was a granite surround for my fireplace. When the fireplace person saw the surround she said, after forty years in the business, that it was the best job she had ever seen! They have also gone above and beyond after installation. When it turned out the sink I picked out (and had installed) was too small for my cooking needs, Kathleen (who initially tried to persuade me to get a bigger sink) patiently worked with me and helped me select a new sink that is bigger and so much better for me! We walked into Colossus in 2011 as we embarked on redoing the kitchen in the home we recently purchased. I had no idea what kind of granite I wanted. I had a small idea, rather. I live in a 1911 home with a granite foundation. When I went to the Colossus yard, I was overwhelmed with the beauty and variety of the granite and stone. So much history and nature. Kathleen noticed how overwhelmed I was. She did her very best to steer me in the right direction. I liked it all! Kathleen suggested I come back on the weekend. I sadly, am not the master of my time. Colossus Granite & Marble - what a great place to do business!!! I am working on finishing the top and sides of a jacuzzi type soaking tub. I wanted to keep it simple on the top so I picked up 4 pieces of marble (used for thresholds) at Lowes and plan on using one on each side of the tub. I needed to get 2 of the pieces ripped and just happened to come across Colossus when I did a google search. Joe and Kathleen were extremely helpful and even suggested certain things that I hadn't thought of. They ripped the 2 pieces and put a nice polished finish on the 2 pieces as well as another piece.
