We were very pleased with the work he and his colleagues did, have asked him to do other work on our house, and recommend him strongly. Johnanthony brings to his work excellent building skills, great intelligence and creativity, perseverance, honesty, kindness, and friendliness--and a fine sense of humor, an important asset in dealing with the frustrations of renovation work. And there were a lot of frustrations on our jobs. Our house was not well designed, and many shortcuts were taken in its construction. Being a kitchen-and-bath-renovation general contractor is a very difficult profession, as you're constantly fitting new wiring, plumbing, appliances, and other work--all the fundamental systems that make a house work--into an existing structure, rather than being able to "start fresh". In our case, the difficulty was increased by the "inherited" problems in our house. And we had problems with delays and incorrect shipments from suppliers, and we caused some problems by changing our minds about some things. Throughout all of this, Johnanthony worked hard and thoughtfully to solve problems, to figure out new ways of doing things as the structure of the house required initial plans to be modified. When problems came up, he worked with us to solve them. When we had warranty issues--bad finish jobs on a couple of our cabinet doors--he made sure that the vendor replaced them, and installed the new ones at no cost to us. Johnanthony was very consultative with us and made it clear that our happiness with our new rooms was his highest priority. We felt that Johnanthony's pricing was fair, and he was very clear about his billing process. We felt that he was completely honest.

horribel experience. their service is terrible. different departments do not communicate it…read moreseems. i was getting countertops done. one day they came to remove the old counter top, disconnect water etc from dishwasher. next day somone was to come and reconnect. whoever came, did not reconnect properly with dishwasher. called store several times. no response. so i am not then able to use dishwasher. finally got someone to come in. a few days leter, when the different team came to put counter top, there were problems...like the ends of the backsplash not straight etcetera. this team also came much much later. they outsource their work and almost always the people coming to do the work are east europeans...horribly rude etc... you keep leaving messages but they don't get back. WILL NEVER EVER WORK WITH THEM, PAID CLOSE TO 8K TO GET THIS DONE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. YOU ARE LEFT HANGING ON YOUR OWN. ONE DEPARTMENT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THE OTHER IS DOING. THE GENERAL MANAGER REMAINS UNAWARE. IN THE KING OF PRUSSIA AREA, MANY CUSTOMERS HAVE SAID THE SAME THING---HORRIBBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO RESPONSIVENESS. when you are working full time, you do not have the time to chase them. but that is what they end up doing as they do not respond to messages. they do not care about their customers once they get their advance money. see others saying the same thing.

We hired KMC Construction (Kyle) for our bathroom remodeling project after speaking with several…read moreother contractors. KMC's quote was reasonable, but what set them apart from the very beginning was Kyle's superb attention to details. His project description was unparallel...from how he would cover the floor, to the specific brand/type of grout he would use, to the exact type of fittings he'd install behind the shower...talking about being meticulous. Others would just give a two-liner description and a ridiculously higher quote. I have hired many contractors for different types of projects for the house, but I NEVER came across someone who is a caring person like Kyle. Get this, he noticed a flat tire on my wife's SUV. I was going to call AAA, but before I could blink he drove out of the driveway, went to the local automotive store, bought a flat tire repair kit and fixed the flat tire! What contractor would do that? As for his craftsmanship, Kyle is a true example of a perfectionist. I am not exaggerating, each step of the project from demolition of a 4" thick concrete wet bed, to framing the walls and the niches, to tiling/grouting, to painting the wall/ceiling/trims...he did everything painstakingly. He was very helpful, understanding, cooperating and again CARING person whom anybody should hire without a hesitation. He truly goes far and beyond. He not only works around your budget, but also throws in freebies (and they are not cheap freebies, they are more involved work, like moving the floor plumbing system for the vanity to behind the wall, or installing additional stuff like the vanity lights, medicine cabinets, etc. etc.) to make your bathroom completely transformed into something that you could ever imagine of. He worked straight through weekends, stayed late hours, and made absolutely 100% sure that everything was done correctly, and beautifully right from the beginning. Bottomline is this: if you want just a contractor to do your job there are plenty of them in the market. But if you want a truly caring craftsman to do the job and treat your home as his own, Kyle at KMC Construction is DEFINITELY your guy. He does not rush, or cut corners to get the job done quicker...that's not Kyle's style. For example, one of the features of our brand new Moen shower head was not functioning, for which Moen sent us a new replacement. Kyle offered to drive all the way (over 30 miles) to our house just to install it for us. I never heard of any contractors offering this kind of a service. Will we hire Kyle for future projects? You bet we will. And I would even go out and offer my email address (ghosh.asim@gmail.com, put "Kyle/KMC" in the subject line) if you need further information or references. After alerting the company, they sent someone out to remeasure the quartz for a replacement backsplash, which was installed today. I am so happy with the end product and greatly appreciate the company addressing my concerns in a very professional manner. No one wants a product to fall short on expectations, and I do appreciate their commitment to the quality of their offering and the installation workmanship.

We hired Reico (and worked with Cindy) for a full kitchen redesign, and the most important element…read morewe asked for was an island that would seat five people comfortably, with storage on one end. We were extremely clear that the seating needed to be unobstructed--essentially, a counter-height table extension from the cabinets. The final design we approved included an apron, but no measurements were provided to explain how it would impact stool clearance. The rendering even showed five stools at the island, which gave us confidence that it would work as intended. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. Because of a poorly designed apron, it is physically impossible to fit standard counter-height stools under the island. The clearance is so low that no stool exists that both fits under the island and allows you to sit and eat comfortably. In other words, the centerpiece of our kitchen--the island seating--is a total failure. It is appalling that a professional kitchen designer would overlook such a basic and critical detail. We assumed we could trust her expertise, but that assumption has left us with an island that cannot function as designed and no reasonable options to fix it without a major renovation. If you are considering working with this company, be warned: do not assume the designer has considered the practical details. Double-check every measurement yourself, because we learned the hard way that they do not.

My husband and I met with the designer (a great lady- big picture-oriented and practical) and her recommended contractor (a knowledgeable, detail-oriented guy who took the time to explain things), and we were excited. When we received the design and estimates, we did get a sticker-shock with respect to the markups of the costs. Based on our designer/contractor interactions, however, we were still considering Reico, even with the markups! But, the level of responsiveness dropped dramatically. Before we knew it, we were informed that our designer (the great lady) was "no longer with the company" and I now have all these spam-type calls from random people I don't know at Reico. Rude.
