To provide an example of his customer-focus, Aaron painted our house right before we put it on the market. The night before it was due to be shown, a different contractor came in and pressure-washed into our siding. With rainscreen, that's a no-no. Aaron came right back out again at a moment's notice, and redid the areas where the paint had been impacted. No questions, no fuss, no haggling. And it looked great. We couldn't recommend him more strongly.

First: the lead on the job, Aaron, was always very polite, patient, and helpful. He and his workers…read moredid an excellent job at each stage of the process. The power washing was thorough; the stain is nice and even; no stain got onto the white walls of our roof deck. If you asked me to evaluate Red Brush on the quality of their output alone, I wouldn't hesitate to give them a higher rating. But their communication is really, really bad. There were so many screw-ups in communication that I can't even remember all of them anymore. The big problem was that they would make changes or decisions without contacting us. Every time, we would have to call them to find out what was going on, usually because they missed their own deadlines. Some examples: 1) Our initial contact was great until we asked for a timeline, and then they stopped responding. I understand that contractors have flexible schedules by necessity (esp. due to weather), but they simply stopped communicating with us about it. We weren't able to get a response nailing down dates & times until the week prior. 2) Before they came to do the power washing, Red Brush told my wife that they would stop by "sometime over the weekend" to do color matching on the stain and collect a deposit. They did not specify when, so we were home all weekend waiting. They never showed up, never called, didn't answer their phones when we called. 3) We scheduled them to do a power washing on Monday 9/23, do a first stain on 9/24, and a second on 9/25. I took time off from work to be home for this. Halfway through the day on Monday, nobody had shown up, so I called them. Their office told me that they weren't actually planning to come out that day; they were going to do the power washing on 9/24 and the earliest they would be able to stain was 9/26. Had I not called, we never would have known. Wasted several vacation days. 4) After the first surprise, I repeatedly asked our contact in their main office to send me confirmations in writing via email. Every time, she promised to do this, but only actually did so 1 time out of 3-4 asks. This suggests to me that this communication weakness is a problem they know about and are not planning to fix. 5) They ended up not doing the second stain on 9/25 due to weather. It was pouring for several days, so that made perfect sense to us, but we asked them to let us known when they would be back. They agreed--and then never told us. I had no idea they'd been back at all until a couple days ago, I decided to check the deck, and the second coat was on it. ------------ If you are only looking for a quality product and do not need or care about the details, Red Brush might work for you. But if you're like me and expect a modicum of professionalism from the people you pay, it's hard to recommend them. Despite the quality work they did for us, I doubt we'll contact them next time.

Was quoted 5-6 days and they finished just over 6 days which is great. We weren't able to be at the home for several days but according to our friends and realtor who stopped by during the week and weekend, they did a great job of locking up and helping us feel secure. Worst Painters Ever!!! They (J** and his dad B**) show up at 10:30ish am and leave at 2:20ish, My…read morekids named him "Half a Room a Day Jay". They trample thru, paint over adhesive or whatever else until you catch them, they paint the trim first and don't mask, they also dont move anything and don't do a once over after each room so be ready to re-install your face plates and remove tape,they dont carry a rag or remove drips from fresh paint. As they told me QUOTE; : We aren't you average painter we don't follow by those rules. END QUOTE they weren't lying about that at all. They applied Varnish on my bathroom ceiling with a Roller which no one does caused all kind of crater marks where i just told them to sand it back as before and don't touch it any further. They have little equipment, sprayer and 3 6 ft. ladders. They don't know how to work with wood and very little experience with Drywall or Spackle. They kept advance money for exterior which they DID NOT do. Took almost a month to do 2 rooms and closet-sized bathroom so I'm fine with them not showing up anymore they would do 10 mins of work and 20min. break in their van. I am on a mission to save everyone from this no painting, dishonest company that must have paid reviews from fellow bar patrons. Please don't give these guys any of your money unless you want nothing but frustration and are taking vacation for 21 days to let them complete the job. YOU WILL BE SORRY they also broke my 20 plus yr. old picture and ripped the vacuum mount screws out of the wall without a care or apology.

Other painting companies had similar estimates but I felt that Fly High Painting seemed more knowledgable and also they were very good at paying attention to the details. When completed with the work, they cleaned up everything and because they put in the effort in prepping, there were no paint drips anywhere. They came out and did my chimney box and touched up one other place but did not paint the area. I initially called them out for. When I asked when they were coming out, they said that they were done. I had to send them pictures and argue with them that it was not done. They also did not use a gutter protector when they put the ladder against my gutter. They had to come out twice to fix that.
