Speed test after installing replacement Xfinity router.

I picked up a new router today because Comcast said that it would help with my internet service issues. Well I am still getting 50 down and 30 up speed. The person at Cherry Hill xfinity basically told me that I was on my own to figure it out, no one there has any technical background. Really.

I know my little review isn't going to outweigh all of the ones out there, but I wanted to say I had the best service call experience EVER with a gentleman from Xfinity today.

This was hands down the worst experience I've had in any Verizon store. The store at 15th and Chestnut next to the Cheesecake Factory is consistently knowledgeable, professional, and transparent throughout each transaction. This store is the opposite, and I now regret not going to the Verizon store on 15th. I now have a new IPhone 16e that works great - but I also have an increased monthly mobile bill, which inexplicably increased by $30+. The customer service rep who helped me lied to me and told me that I needed to purchase 7 months of new phone protection from Verizon. I came to find out via a phone call with a Verizon rep just yesterday that this is not true. The Verizon rep removed the charge for the insurance. Also during yesterday's call with the Verizon rep, I was informed that the customer service rep at the 9th and Walnut store changed my plan - giving me a more expensive plan without informing me that he did this and without my permission. I am now seemingly stuck with this $30+ increase to my bill. My bill went from a very affordable $57/month to nearly $100. I cannot afford this increase, and the Verizon phone rep who I spoke with yesterday is unable to reverse the phone plan to my original phone plan. My bill is now both unaffordable and a mess. I've spent the past 2 days and a total of 3 hours on the phone with 5 different Verizon reps trying to get this all sorted out - on top of checking my Chase credit card bill statement and learning that the Verizon 9th and Walnut customer service rep also charged me $265.62 without providing me with an itemized receipt or explanation of charges. Verizon also does not have a copy of this receipt and could not help me with this issue due to the lack of receipt in their system. This charge is still pending, and I will be disputing it with Chase once it posts. Avoid the Verizon store at 9th and Walnut at all cost. Its only intention is to rip off its customers.

I told the guys where the conduit should go, and even though my Spanish isn't good, they followed my directions. Two days later, the installation guy arrived during the scheduled installation window. I had already routed conduit inside of my house, so it was an easy install, and we used my router. Three days later 811 showed up and spray painted my property; was glad the conduit guys didn't cut through buried utilities 5 days prior. Apparently only one of three of the tasks went to plan. Part of the pricing deal was that I had to sign up for the Verizon Visa card. I did that online and set up the mandatory auto payment. Couple days later my wireless bill was automatically paid by the Visa card, and a couple days after that I started to get all kinds of system generated emails that my Verizon auto pay had failed. I got a cryptic email from the bank that the auto payment was declined so I went online to the bank and they had no record of any payment being declined. I then called the bank and basically was tortured by the AI assistant that did nothing more than waste my time next I contacted Verizon FiOS. They said everything was fine. Days later more emails auto payment could not be completed. Payment was due so I went online and I manually paid following the FiOS link sent me. That sent me to the Wireless payment program and my payment was posted to the Wireless account (after triple checking this I was not able to pay directly to FiOS on the Verizon website using the Fios make payment button) Days after more system generated emails and more time online and more time trying to get through the useless AI assistant on the phone I finally spoke to a person and explain the situation. They said they would transfer the payment from Wireless to FiOS and there should be no further problem. 10 days later more system generated email. My account was overdue. They would shut off my service. I went back online. saw the payment still sitting on my Wireless account and called FiOS ...fought the AI assistant eventually got a hold of a human. This guy sounded like he could only talk about the Fios part of my "Verizon One" account. Explained to him what happened. He said I need to contact the bank. I told him I'd already contacted the bank. On hold, he did a little more research. On and off hold (one hour and six minutes) later the he says the Verizon card from Visa on my account had an entirely different card number and expiration date than the one the bank issued me. I told him that that was a system generated mistake as I had never entered a credit card or expiration date WHEN AUTOMATICALLY CREATING MY ACCOUNT ON THEIR WEBSITE...THEIR SYSTEM HAD A BUG THAT THEY NEED TO INVESTIGATE since it had nothing to do with me and it could be happening to other customers. he said he talked to his manager (now at about an hour and 20 on the phone) and hadn't heard of this happening before. DID YOU CREATE A SYSTEM REMEDY TICKET? Says I. UUUH says he. I feel like I'm teaching a pig to sing. I'm wasting my time and annoying the pig. I then said you guys need to credit my account for this service mishap. more time on hold. they credited the first month service and manually entered my correct Verizon credit card. Then asked me if I would like to be transferred to Wireless to see what was happening with that payment transfer that I asked for 10 days ago. I told him I was exhausted and had to get back to work. Later in the day went online and saw the manual payment was still on the Wireless account and that I was still overdue on the Fios "one account" so I went ahead and I made another payment hoping that this time it would credit the proper account. I feel like I knew more than the Verizon reps did about their own system and that trying to explain to them what they need to do to fix it was falling on deaf ears. I did not sign up to spend over four hours of my personal time fixing their junk website and I still don't know whether or not this next billing cycle will go smoothly. FFS verizon!

No matter what it is, they're going to tell you to call the "number." All they do is sell the service and related products. I was told explicitly that once the product is out the door, it's out of their hands. That's Clear's business model in case you haven't noticed. I know the people are just doing their jobs. Every time I've been in (several) there has been a completely different team of people working here. Clear obviously has a high turnover rate. Also, every time I come in they contradict what was said last time, but the reason remains the same. They say "oh that person didn't know the company policy." Does the policy have a high turnover too? And from my understanding given the recent call center layoffs, when you call the "NUMBER" you WILL be getting someone outsourced who doesn't understand you and you certainly won't understand them. I would be absolutely delighted if I could walk into this store and cancel the service, but I know what they're going to say. As soon as the Verizon strike is over I'm off to FIOS. Lastly, this corner is prime real estate, when Clear crumbles nationwide (and it WILL) look forward to a great business going here.
