I've never really had a problem with them, but...their prices are just too high. I get it, you're a monopoly and you're squeezing us. I lost all services I have with Comcast. Cable, internet and land line phone. Their service rep had me turn off my modem and turn it back on. No help. She then tried to reboot it remotely - though she claimed to see my modem her reboot did not work either. So I had to fight to get a tech rep out the next day early. The tech rep showed up on time and immediately checked the outside "box" on my house - NO signal. Then checked to large box covering several neighbors and me. He says my house is so far away from that box the cable from it to my house is too small. Really? It's been working for over 20 years. So I follow him to that box and see that an unburied cable is going to a neighbor's house. Turns out this tech was working on the box yesterday.....just when my service was stopped. Believe it or not, this happened a number of years ago. But then the tech was honest and told me who ever worked on the box the day before, switched my cable to a different and dead "port". This time the tech didn't admit to his mistake....covered up his mistake by claiming the cable to my house was "too small". Absolutely terrible service. Well the horror story continues. They buried the new - "larger" - cable this morning and once again I have NO service. Tech rep can't get here until tomorrow afternoon. They told me to make sure to give them a 9 or 10 out of 10 or they wouldn't pass their customer satisfaction survey if I got a call. I didn't, so here's my review. I had an issue with my router, so the tech on the phone told me to pick up an xb7 and I could upgrade my router for free. Sounds good. I went in and the big gal there gave me the old same version, saying it was an xb7 but explaining that it looked the same and was a big black box still. It was not the xb7 turns out. She switched the routers while talking to her friends about how they didn't want to work the weekend shift and sent me on my way with the wrong device (for which I'm charged monthly) and a gratuity ultimatum. read more

I recently accompanied my daughter to the store to upgrade her phone and it was an absolute nightmare! We ended up being there 2 hours past close. Bottom line: we were double charged and charged a restocking fee for an error the agent made. The transactions reflected on my Xfinity Mobile account do not match my credit card statement. I'm currently trying to resolve this over the phone, but the rep is telling me I have to take care of it in the store. I've been happy with Xfinity Mobile, but don't plan to use this location again. read more

I recently opened an account with my roommate and a technician came to set up my cable. The guy left a huge mark on my tv where the color is off, I've been trying to get them to care enough to fix it or help me in any way and they don't seem to want to help, even though it was 100% them. There's even a finger mark as if he picked it and pressed on the screen. It was never like this until Comcast was left unattended setting up my cable in my room. They suck.. very upset about my tv. read more

No one likes to deal with service providers but I had to update my service plan so I chose to go to a service center to talk to a person in person. It was painless and very easy (even with tyne possibility of downgrading). Thank you for making it so painless to change my service! read more

Comcast is the worst possible business. Rude people. Poor service. Lies. Avoid at all possible cost

I shut off service with Comcast in April, I had it at two locations. Since I have automatic payments, they continued charging my card. I noticed in June and gave them a call, they said I didn't return my equipment, even though I sent it in. They said they got it shut off and would issue me a refund. Early October I realized they WERE STILL CHARGING ME, but this time for only one location. I also looked back at my credit card statements and did not see a refund issued. I contacted them and they said I only shut off service to one location, not both, which is incorrect. I was told they would shut off service to match the shut off date of the other location and they would issue me a refund for the second location, but there's nothing they could do about the first refund. Today I realized they charged me again. I called and talked to someone and was told the refund takes at least 30 days and they could only refund back to when they shut off the first location. read more

I wish I could give them negative stars. They pre wire apartment buildings so you have no choice but to get Comcast. Expensive. Connections suck. Their fastest internet is slow compared to competitors but you have to take them because they have the whole apartment complex prewired. I'd rather eat my own feces than give Comcast another penny. It's legalized piracy. Hope this company burns. They can go suck a donkey's seminal vessical for all I care. Word of advice. The ladies at the DeKalb service center are very nice - pleasant and personable. I've been here 3 different times, always on a Saturday and the experience has always been positive. The bad reviews (Google and Yelp) tied to the DeKalb walk-in center do not seem to be about the DeKalb center, they are more about people's complaints about the company, the cost, the call center service (not the walk in center), etc. I have to drive 40 minutes each way to get to the center but it doesn't bother me because the ladies are very personable. read more

This the worst internet wifi connection I have ever seen. It can't can even connect to a FaceTime with clarity especially in dekalb. When ever we complains they will just come and do some show as usual and leave. LTE cellular data is faster than the Comcast connection provided. read more

saved I get high speeds and all, but they can't handle traffic in my area, which causes service drops quite often. Plus they have data caps. Which sucks because we have a full house and use up that data every month. Which means overages for any excess. It's sad they have a monopoly on service where I live so you have to suffer with what you get. The only upside is when it works it's not slow. Also it's important to note I pay the premium for all the excess data luxury's, but none of that matters since my subdivision is full of Xfinity users anyway. Hence the very periodic service drops. I'd say just save your money and go with the cheaper plans. Not worth it at all. I often use my phone's mobile hotspot because of the constant issues here. I'd be happier if we had more providers to pick from. Xfinity in general has a bad rep for horrible customer service in general let alone that bad service they provide. I may just cancel pay the penalties and move on. Also another thing is that you have to be in a contract with them. Ridiculous , Overall if you have the option to go another route even if they only provide a quarter of the speeds I'd most definitely do it. Some days I feel like I might as well not have internet since it can't stay connected long enough to enjoy anything. I currently live in Loves park, Illinois. So this is a official shout out to other potential providers. I'd love to have an actual selection of speeds at least at 60 Mbps. Right now all I have is Comcast and they suck...... read more

04/17/18 was my third visit to this service center. I was here to renew my contract as my internet bill had gone up. The representative here was very helpful and took the time to give me my options, and help me choose the right one. read more

Of course I'm rating Comcast, but actually the local technicians, so local. Got called by CC to set up appt to fix "power leak" (we had no issues); after CC working outside on line our cable and Internet went out. Technician was heard saying "not my fault, didn't do anything." End of day and both still out, calls to customer service (3) finally produced an appt for 2 days from now. Wouldn't a decent business make time to fix what they broke? Laughable, but also disgusting. Again no competition in Dekalb, so no acceptable option, for a product that really you can't live without. Comcast Sucks....completely, bad service, worse yet, it starts off expensive and after 6 months, they raise the rates even more.
