Completed a tech service with Comcast in Elizabethtown, KY on June 2,2021. We were having a problem with one of our TV cable boxes. Made an appointment for the visit. The waiting times have changed to a three hour window. Ours was between 1-3pm. The tech, Nicholas Anderson arrived at 1:30. He diagnosed our problems and was able to fix all of the problems. He was very professional and took the time to explain what he was doing and why he needed to perform the various tasks. We were very happy with Comcast and with Mr. Anderson. I don't usually have to frequent the Comcast Service Center but after we were sent a new modem through the mail only to find out it was a "lemon", I was instructed by the telephone technician to obtain a replacement in Elizabethtown. This particular Comcast Service Center was easy to locate and in an area where there isn't a lot of vehicular traffic due to the fact it has its own building and private parking lot. The exterior of the facility is well maintained and free of debris or trash. The interior is very inviting with a few advertisements in the customer waiting area. When I entered there were other customers being assisted by Comcast/Xfinity specialists but I was greeted with smiles and the greeting of the day. There were three specialists present and within one minute of entering, I was motioned to step forward. The gentleman who assisted me was very respectful in greeting me. He was well groomed and his clothing was neat. As the specialist gave me my new modem, he explained what I needed to do and asked if I had any questions. Before we ended our transaction, he provided a receipt for the items I returned, assured me if I had any questions installing my new modem, they would be available and more than happy to assist me. read more

When we moved to Leitchfield we were told that xfinity was preferable to others available, so we went to sign up. When we did we were told that since service had recently been turned off at the address that I had to set everything up myself. I tried, but couldn't get it to work. When I called the support line the woman there told me that the problem was in the line outside the house so she was sending out a tech guy. She said that since the problem was outside the house I wouldn't be charged. The tech guy also said the lines were a mess and there was no way I could have done the set up myself. So I wouldn't be charged. When the bill came, there was 100.00 charge for the service call. When we called about it we were basically told too bad, pay or get cut off. We were lied to by two separate people and they refuse to honor their people's word. read more

Great selection, but do not get tricked with the special offers and discounts that only last 6 months. Their prices are on the high end for their service, but worse off, if you have a problem with the service that needs a technicians coming to your home; you can expect to wait for at least a week. Additionally there might be a service charge for a technician coming out to fix a problem with the service that they are supposed to be providing. Time to change providers! read more

Atrocious customer service at their center on Ring Rd - I've been there 3 times and waited no less than 20 minutes in line each time. The last time I went to their office there were two lines. One lady was in the other line than me and waited her obligatory 20 minutes before she reached the counter. She was then told that the employee didn't have a cash drawer & couldn't take cash payments. The employee told the lady to wait in the other line. REALLY? By that time I was in front of the second line and let the poor lady cut in front of me. To top it off, we just had our cable go out this Friday and were told they couldn't get a tech out to us until Tuesday. When I asked the phone center rep to connect me with a supervisor he told me that all the supervisors were in a meeting and unavailable. At 3pm on a Saturday... REALLY? Is this the kind of service my $180/month pays for? I feel old when I say long gone are the days of personalized customer services and companies that earned your business. I expected more from a small town office like is in E-town too. Next thing you know I'll be dealing with someone in India to fix my cable too! I love the convenience of having my cable & Internet bundled, as well as my DVR, but I'm done with Comcast. I'm getting Direct TV. read more

I didn't visit a service center, I tried to get some help online and on the phone. Someone has used my name and apparently my social to set up a Comcast account in San Diego, CA - I live in Louisville, KY (and have all of my life - don't even know anyone in San Diego, CA, or CA at all for that matter) and they are now delinquent on their bill and a collection agency is now pursuing me for the money. This is the third time I've had dealings with Comcast. The two previous times were when they withdrew two payments of $447.00 from my checking account without authorization and caused me to incur numerous fees. Thankfully, my bank is much more efficient than Comcast and the matter was resolved on my end quickly. I've received two collection calls which, at the end of the call, they switch me over to fraud and I have to leave a voice mail message. I have yet to receive a call back from them. I tried an online chat and they told me that they couldn't help, but gave me two links that would take me to an area where I could report the fraud. Neither link worked and the representative disconnected the chat communication before I could even let him know that the links didn't work. I will NEVER use this company and will surely let folks know of my experience with them so that, if they're on the fence about which company to use, they have this information to add for consideration. read more

Comcast/Xfinity is Terrible! If you have any other options in your area your much better off. It has been 57 days since the first time I contacted them to repair my internet as it was not working. After Multiple attempts over the phone and 2 technicians later it is still down! They told me they needed to get a replacement wire as that is the Problem. It has been 39 days Since I was told that and it still has not been replaced. Every time i call they give me the run around and tell me a date then no one ever shows up to do the work. this has happened TWICE now! Now i cant get them to give me any updates every time i call its we are looking into it. They don't respond to emails ever i have tried to communicate that way with over 15 emails with no response ever! They call times on getting on the phone always takes over 2 Hours! The Chat room is filled with low level techs that want to try things that have already been done 100's of times and they don't listen when you tell them that's not the problem. its like they keep 0 record of any previous communication or the current situation. By far the worst digital service provider we have ever had. If you have the option, try any other company first. We had internet, DVR TV, and phone installed. Sure enough after our 6 month promotional price was up, our bill increased 3 additional times in under 1 year total ! Every time we have had service issues they charge us for a technician visit. The guy installing our service told us they have the worst customer service in the industry(should have listened then). One time when our service was working fine a Comcast maintenance tech literally cut our service at the pole on accident. I could see the cut wire hanging from the pole. After the usual lengthly wait for help, they scheduled a repair man to come fix it(additional charge) the next day he never showed. I called and they had never even made the appointment. Thats what you want to hear when you take off work to be there. Stay away from this company. They charge premium prices for below par services. Please come to E-town Uverse! read more

Communication between departments and workers within this company is terrible. They do not keep appropriate records as they say they do. When attempting to recall past interactions I am always told that no conversations were noted. Due to these miscommunications/lack of record keeping and either bad training or last resort lying to a customer my account was sent into collections after being told it was settled. I made multiple calls to customer service and talked to many supervisors and spent many hours of my time trying to rectify this. I had bank statements showing proof of payment where payment was due. At some point someone told me I broke contract after the first person told me that there was no contract to break. Later on a supervisor told me that all of the charges on my account were cleared and that me and comcast were settled and I wouldn't be hearing from them again. TWO months later without any communication I receive a notice in the mail that my account was sent to collections. Just to demonstrate how BAD their communication/record keeping/customer service is the collection company had my significant other's birthday as my own and at first I was unable to talk to the creditor about the account. This is July of 2019 in the fall of 2017 I told them to correct the errors of having my significant others info on my account and almost two years later they still hadn't. This company is a JOKE and I now know why all my friends and peers told me to avoid service with this company at any cost. I will never again have comcast. No joke I had to place one of the workers on mute when I told them this because they went into a spiel of how they are ashamed of the rap their company gets due to the terrible lack of service. It was nice to laugh after spending 2 hours on the phone disputing charges with workers who wouldn't let me talk to supervisors. Comcast is like an unfaithful spouse. Full of promises and forever unfaithful. Service in Tell City is horrible. When working, the internet speeds are blazing fast. Problem is the outages for my home have been like being married to a serial cheater. Not dependable and I have been a customer for TEN years. Horrible service and customer service. Not only do they constantly raise their rates, this month I found out they cut the speed of our internet service by more than half (from 50Mbps to 20Mpbs) and put a cap on our "unlimited' access we signed up for. We are one of those rare customers that try to be loyal but this is the last straw. Technology has gotten cheaper to produce every year and yet Comcast gets more expensive every year. This is a racket and as they are the self proclaimed owners of cable that should be investigated as a RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act of 1970) violation. PS: In their terms of service that you MUST sign it says they can raise their rates at any time. However, years ago I signed into their 'locked in' rates. Which was only locked in apparently until they changed their minds. P.S.S: One of the cable boxes I received from them only gets about half the channels it's supposed to ( can't even watch Spongebob) we have taken it back several times but it still doesn't perform like it's supposed to. Some channels have weird double pictures and some just don't load at all. On top of all that though sometimes the things we record get removed so we can't even use the dvr feature properly. ive never visited service center but am a new customer where do I begin on august 20 2018 I called to see about getting cable and internet at a house I was moving into in Leitchfield Kentucky on sept 1 operated said address had active account and all I should have to do is plug in equipment and call and id have service and equipment would be delivered to my address at the time and I could just take it along and hook up ok so it didn't arrive when I pulled into new house there sat my equipment been there all week I took it in house along with all belongings after hard day of moving I sat back thought id hook up tvs and relax made call to activate equipment quess what didn't work had tech on phone for an hour now needed service tech quess what couldn't get one for 10 days so 10 days no tv now its sept 10 finally got tv on sept 17 I get a bill in mail due sept 22 I get paid first day of every month that's why didn't want service activated until sept 1 so I knew I had my check and could pay bill quess what bill past due cant make payment until I pay next months bill too this is a scam their cable and internet is good if you don't mind getting ripped off your money I just cant afford to be ripped off on a tight budget I have to pay 300 and some dollars now and have only had 20 days of tv read more
