I was referred to With A Little Help by a friend of mine who is a hospice nurse. He actually gave me the names of three agencies, and I called them all. The first two had a corporate vibe, and sent me directly into a voicemail black hole. It was days before I heard back. When I called With A Little Help, within seconds, I was talking with Kacie, one of the owners, who was so kind and spent all of the time I needed talking with me about our situation and care needs. By the end of the phone call, we had a plan for an intake evaluation, and just a couple of days later, a new care team was in place...and just like that, the stress and worry that had been accumulating over many months lifted. This is just one example of the many, many I could share about the excellent care With A Little Help offers. They aren't a corporate-care behemoth. They are local, owner run, and some of the most caring people I've met in a long time. Kacie and Paul, the owners, worked with us to find the caregivers that are the best fit for our situation. The caregivers are highly skilled, professional, and compassionate. All of them have giant hearts. Some words that come to mind when talking about With A Little Help: Professional Flexible Kind Collaborative Communicative Compassionate Responsive Punctual Attuned For us, With a Little Help has been something of a miracle. I wholeheartedly recommend them to you for your care needs.

Several times, assigned caregivers just did show up, with no notification from the office. Supervisors appeared to make assignments randomly, with no effort at all to match caregiver skills to client needs. indeed, most of their caregivers showed up without having been told anything about the client. And this was all true before the big office shake-up in the autumn of 2025, after which everything became markedly worse. By that point, we had used Full Life for about a year: we had put up with the terrible customer service and unreliability for the sake of one good caregiver. Like so many of Full Life's employees, she had never worked as a caregiver before, so we had to train her from scratch, but she turned out to be wonderful. That wasn't the case with the many other complexly untrained caregivers that Full Life's expected us to train for them -- genuine unexpected, in a state that requires caregivers to take an 80 hours of classes and a difficult licensing test. They can work for a few months first while they're getting training, though, so most agencies will send out a few newbies. Full Life's roster appears to be staffed almost entirely with them, none of whom seemed to be in the process of taking the necessary classes. So although Full Life didn't bother to inform us of this, the client and the client's family are just expected to fill the training gap. That's a whole lot of time and effort, increasing the work of taking care of a loved one, rather than doing what good caregiving is supposed to do: reduce the workload. Consider, then: do you want to be the person teaching a young man how to give his first bed bath to an adult woman? How do you think the woman feels about being the guinea pig fir his learning experience? That being said, there were a couple of good fill-ins from time to time. In recent months, though, ant least two of them became so unhappy with management that they subsequently quit the company. So if you are reading reviews to get a sense of what it would be like to work for Full Life, that might be worth bearing in mind.

Also, Laurel should be fired for disclosing medical information of an non client on a unsecure network. Then she kept trying to bagger, humiliate, and argue with us, so very unprofessional. We would not recommend this company with a sinister undertone to anybody, especially if you care about the well being of your loved ones in their final days. However, working in the Healthcare industry for 15 years starting off as a CNA graduate from SCCC who has worked in skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation nursing facilities, dementia nursing homes, adult family homes, private mansions/homes, etc... you can NOT trust anybody because when their medical insurance runs out they (clients/residents/patients) mysteriously die all of sudden, hmmm.... Last but not least, always double check their vitals yourself, do the research on the types of medicine given and its side effects, plus watch them draw up the medicine into the syringe from the medicine bottle. Everything now seems to be a money grab and they do NOT care about your loved one nor respect you. Note - The whole time in the hospital (VM) and Evergreen Health Hospice made her feel miserable, sad, and in distress. As for Laurel, she started harassing us over a medical bed we had to take in order to be discharged from the hospital when we already have a medical bed bought and paid for. https://g.co/gemini/share/166b43bd987b
