Appears to be either newer or newly renovated, it's a very nice, clean hotel. The woman that checked us in was friendly and helpful in identifying and choosing a local place to dine. The woman working the breakfast area was also very friendly and helpful, checking with every table that they found what they wanted and clearing the table. She even helped a woman on crutches get her food and drink choices. Highly recommend. read more

I stayed here last summer. The photos on Yelp don't look like the location. The hotel looks freshly built. This was a great place to stay. I liked the location. It was easy to pull off for the day and get an early start back on the road the next morning. Cute small town with lots of places to eat. stayed here 5 years ago. it seemed clean then. I came from outta state for a funeral. Once in the room I noticed black hairs all over the white bedspread, ok not a big Beal but then I wet a washcloth to clean it off and from under the pillows a small black bug ran out. I went to get a manager and requested a clean or newer room. She had no explanation and 2 rooms that she was going to move me to were dirty and she could not accommodate a clean room for me for one night in the entire building. I was very upset leaving there with absolutely nowhere in mind to stay. I did find a place after an hour and there apparently have been many complaints about the comfort inn having nasty bed bugs. never again Comfort Inn of Chillicothe! read more

I almost stayed in KC by the airport to find another chain I tend to use because I got burned driving into a small town with limited options the night before. But I pushed on further along my journey away from metropolis, and this time I was pleasantly surprised. This place was terrific! The hotel was in great shape. The room was clean and in great shape. And the staff was positively lovely. The front desk staff, the cleaning staff, and the lady running the breakfast room. I am going to start giving Comfort Inn a better look, and will definitely use this one again if I find myself in MO. read more

This is my favorite hotel in these parts. Unfortunately it's going to get a refresh and be more modern instead of lodge like. Rooms are great. Service and staff and complimentary snacks and breakfast.... So so good. Highly recommend. Near highway but not too noisy. read more

Stayed just one night en route to Taos. Very impressed. One of the most comfortable hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Spacious, immaculate, good bed, and (yay!) a bathtub. Staff was extremely nice and breakfast bar was better than the usual hotel stuff. Indoor saltwater pool was warm and there was a hot tub as well. Plus, Chillicothe (birthplace of sliced bread) is a cool little town. read more

We stayed here one night, been to several events here and was recently given a tour by the assistant manager and this place is beautiful, decorated like a lodge and the rooms are very nice. They have a nice breakfast area, a nice (small but nice) pool and hot tub and is in a very convenient location that is in walking distance of at least two restaurants! This is the second newest hotel in this town and possibly the nicest! Highly recommend! read more

Absolute best place in Chillicothe I heard the owners are the same that opened the Fairfield inn as well, I'll be checking in there next I have good intuition I'm not gonna be let down. Home away from home. Excellent service from the moment we walked in. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The Lobby was very welcoming and included some refreshments, comfy chairs and a large TV. Wonderful for those looking to relax after a long car ride. We stayed here during our visit to Missouri Star Quilt Co. This property is very clean with great, friendly staff. Our room was spotless and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The complementary breakfast has plenty of choices for everyone, and I liked the fact that the orange juice wasn't watered down. What a pleasant surprise when, upon check in, in the lobby we found baskets of fresh fruit, packages of nuts and chocolate, and lemon infused water. I really appreciated that after a long day of travel. Then in the morning, this property had ready-made bags of "breakfast on the go" for those who didn't have time to sit down for breakfast. This property really knows how to take care of its guests. Although this hotel is about 30 min. from MO Star Quilt Co., I highly recommend staying here any time you visit the area. read more

Stopped by this hotel on my way from Nebraska to Indiana. I must say this is one of the nicer comfort inns I've stayed in. Great location located next to an equally good Applebee's. The only thing forming keeping it a five star was I thought the price was a little high at $140 a night but again not a lot of options in all directions. read more

This hotel was an amazing surprise! It has a beautiful lodge-like appearance without going over the top. From the moment we drove up I was impressed. The woman at the desk was professional and helpful. A very nice young man appeared and helped us unload the car which was greatly appreciated since my husband was recovering from ankle surgery. There were complimentary treats provided in the lobby. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious. There was even a small elephant made out of handtowels sitting on the bathroom vanity! Breakfast was tasty and nicely prepared. The same young man who assisted us yesterday helped us load the car and refused a tip again! The attention to detail throughout was impressive as were every staff member we met. We'll be back! read more

The first time I stayed here it was okay, so we decided to book it again. I had the most horrible experience I've ever had here. We had 3 friends over and were in the hot tub/pool. Time got away and instead of coming in and kindly reminding us it's time to close the pool, the worker came in yelling at us that "it's past 10 and a liability to be in here!!!" So we apologized and went to our room. We were all just sitting around talking at a regular level and the worker again knocked on our door saying we've been yelling and fighting and pounding and told us to leave!! Nothing of that sort had occurred and they didn't care if we had a place to go they just called the cops and made us leave in the middle of the night. I will never ever stay at a Comfort Inn again, and definitely not the one in Chillicothe. If you plan on doing anything other than going quietly to sleep..don't book here. read more

Loved the decor, cleanliness, nice bed, great water pressure, but I stay in a hotel to actually get some sleep. Sleep I did not get. This hotel is situated right off a busy highway. I can usually sleep through most anything, however, I could hear every semi-truck that drove by and each instance was followed by a strange vibrating sound in the room. I told the front desk clerk that I wasn't able to sleep and she just shrugged and said, "Yeah, that side can get kind of noisy. We were full last night, so we couldn't have moved you, but next time you come just request a room on the other side. Sorry about that." What?! Guest comfort and satisfaction is your main goal and you can't even give me a little discount off my current or next stay. Not happy. read more

The very worst place I have ever encountered. My sister and I traveling to MO from TX have stayed at numerous hotels and have never been through what happened. They never said a word about having a puppy at their place, then later the elderly woman sent the brand new young girl to us and said we had to pay $300 for a 6 lb puppy in her crate that is a service dog. THEY WOULD NOT REFUND OUR MONEY AND WE WERE THERE ONLY 10 minutes!!!! Before that we had to ask for the a/c to be looked at bc it would not cool and they had no idea how to fix it so they brought us a box fan. They said they had called the manager and we would be charged $300 the next day so we decided to leave. In the meantime my sister was shaking and having issues. Legally you're not supposed to ask for paperwork but the puppy had her Emotional Support tag on her collar. I will NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER COMFORT INN AGAIN AND We have already stayed at 2 this trip. We went right next door to the Fairfield Inn and it's amazing service and a very nice cold room. read more

This is a very nice hotel. It has won several prizes. It is newish, clean and comfortable. But BEWARE THE SAFE FEE. We arrived tired after a long drive. I signed in, initialing and signing where asked. Upon checkout I found a $2 charge for the room safe. To me, charging extra for the safe makes no sense. There's no extra charge for the ironing board which I also may or may not use. The $2 fee is a trap for the unwary. From now on I plan to carefully and SLOWLY read the papers I initial and sign. If this means the checkin line is held up, I'm sorry, but I can't trust Comfort not to sneak in another fee for the unwary. read more

this place was HORRIBLE. the food was stale and cold and seemed expired. their milk on their breakfast bar was sour and chunky. the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. the bathroom was disgusting. there were shit stains in the toilet. the bed was not made and there were crumbs everywhere. there complimentary cookies out as promised. the lemon water was out and the workers didn't care to replace it. one of the male housekeepers walked into our room without knocking. there was a bullet hole in the screen of the window. i did not feel safe in this hotel. the workers were rude and one of them flipped me off. i would never stay here. read more

Very nice hotel! Looks pretty new. The lobby has more of a cabin feel to it. The place even smelled good. My only complaints were the shower had a very loud hum when you used it and it was right off the highway so it wasnt super quiet. Maybe if we would have stayed on side facing the parking lot instead of the highway it would have been better. Very friendly people and it is a family friendly hotel. Finally a hotel with Disney jr so our girls actually had something to watch! read more
