The place is very nice. My only complaints are:1. please have a billboard stating which exit to take as most of the hotels are located at the same exit as Mill Inn.2. Do not assign the 2nd and 3rd story rooms first. It seemed like everyone was struggling to get to their rooms because they were given upper story rooms. My colleagues and I stayed at this facility last night. In my life, I have never stayed in such a filthy place.. The housekeeping staff was argumentative about the dried, blood, urine, and dirt in our rooms. I called Choice Hotels and asked for refund and they said they could not do this. Unhealthy conditions, I now have a bacterial infection in my eyes, which I had to seek medical attention for. Terrible experience! Cancelled by Choice membership as called the customer service number would not refund the rooms, even though the experience was worse than a nightmare! read more

I'm surprised at the low reviews, but I had a great stay! The front desk receptionist was really nice and welcoming when we first walked in. They had the famous lemon water, which is always a nice treat. We originally booked a king side bed, but since I am feeling a little under the weather, I asked for two queen beds and she was really accommodating. Walked into our room, and it was clean, beds made, everything was great. Went to breakfast the next morning, and this is my absolutely favorite breakfast. They had yogurt, bagels, waffles, cereal, fruit, everything you could ask for. We had a really nice stay and will definitely stay here again if we're ever back in town. read more

Final update: Today is June 20, 2025. Three days ago, I had a chance to speak with Mina, the manager, and she helped resolve the issue. During the refund process, there was an accidental extra charge made to my account again, but she caught it quickly and refunded it right after. She also explained that the front desk staff weren't aware of the situation and offered a sincere apology for the confusion. While I appreciated her help, the overall refund process still took 16 days to fully sort out, which was frustrating. That said, the room was clean, and the breakfast was reasonable. I'm glad it was ultimately resolved, but I hope future cases are handled more smoothly. Update: Now, 10 days later, June 14, they charged my card again without any notice or permission. This is unacceptable, and I would strongly advise against staying here due to their poor service and unauthorized charges. They are not willing to communicate even i have called for so many times. If anyone has same issue, please contact me, we could file a formal complaint against them through Department of Consumer Affairs, Federal Trade Commission and The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Booked 3 rooms for one night via Agoda (June 4, 2025) and paid $354.63 in full. After checkout, I noticed two extra charges of $108.43 each (Total 216.86) on my credit card. I contacted the merchant company, and they confirmed these charges came directly from the hotel--even though the owner, Mina, keeps denying it. At check-in, I was told my card was just for security, and the receipt at checkout showed a zero balance. This is misleading and unacceptable. Still waiting on a refund for the unauthorized $216.86. I booked two rooms for my three children and three grandchildren at the Sheridan WY location. After a 14 hour drive, they were tired and attempted to check in and the night clerk called "Rain" (sp?) gave them a terrible reception. She was rude, did not have the reservation that I made and when they requested a rollaway she refused and told them that they have two beds in each room and they didn't need it. Before my grandson went to bed he wanted to go swimming so my son-in-law took him down to the pool. As they walked by the hot tub, someone had defecated in the hot tub. That is very disgusting and am embarrassed that they had to deal with that. They went to bed and left early in the morning. They tried to check out but the night manager was no where to be found. They waited 15 minutes at the counter and finally left the key cards and walked out. I would not recommend staying at this poorly managed hotel. Yes, the rooms are decent but the staff who setup and breaks down for breakfast is very rude and started breaking down everything at 8:59 when breakfast is until nine so I had one minute and she said it was too late with a smoky smile and then I went to go get some juice and she already had that machine off, put away all the coffee stuff all on one cart so I put my cup on the counter and she says she's not my maid and I said I didn't say you were what do you do with that person knowing that she is breaking down things a minute early or at least two cause she shouldn't be breaking down anything until 9:01am. Unbelievable bad hotel experience. We had a ground floor room (RM#116), end unit, with an exterior light aimed directly into our room window! Room curtains couldn't block-out the light. Couldn't sleep. Frustrated with nighttime clerk, I just rented another room, my wife was already asleep. The second room (RM#330) had an extremely noisy PTAC unit when the compressor engaged, about every twenty minutes. I recorded it. Couldn't sleep. In the morning, I looked at the light (w/photos), it was an overpowering 30,000 lumen fixture, about 4x the light required. The light is mounted to a wood pedestal about 3 feet off the ground, pointed directly at our window. All of the other similar exterior lights are spaced somewhat properly and aim at the brick facade between the windows. When I asked if anyone else had complained about the bright light pouring into the room...clerk said everyone complains about this light. Now get this, the light is mounted with 2-bolts into the wood pedestal, meaning, it can easily be re-directed to the corner facade and pointing away from the room window. It literally would take someone less that 2-minutes to correct the problem. I spoke with 3-staff, and all were terrified of the "Owner" rather than focused on the client experience. The room that we checked into had a wet floor and smelled musty. I told the front desk and they said that they already knew that the shower leaked and the building was old. I understand that building may be old but don't rent the room, we stayed for three days and on second night of three I asked how late hot tub was open, I got a closing time of 9:30 on our second night I was told 10 pm closing time on our third night. I was told I needed a reservation to use pool but it was booked the rest of the night and also booked past our checkout time the next day. We are disappointed, staff was great. read more

Beds were comfortable and shower was nice. The room had marks here and there on lamp shades, towels, shower curtain and pillows. Overall it made you wonder how clean it all was. Breakfast service was disappointing with little to decide from, coffee was just watered down and bland. When we went to checkout we waited 10 minutes and no one arrived before we left our key at the counter as we are on a time schedule. Beds were weirdly small. We sleep in a full-size bed at home, but these ones felt exceptionally tiny! We also noticed that there were things falling apart all over the hotel, like the art in the elevator which was cracked and falling out of the frame. The location was convenient, though, right off the highway and with easy access to downtown as well. Another plus was the herd of pronghorn and the prairie dog colony right across the street! Someone thought it would be funny to set the radio to go off at 12 midnight waking us up! I'm sure the women at the front desk said queen size beds when in fact it was two full! Heating was hot than it was cold. Not really sure if the bathroom was clean or not. Never stayed in hotel where they leave toilet seat up. They did have clean towels. They refused me service unless I wore a mask stating that it was a federal law even after I explained I had a medical condition and was exempt. They also pointed at signs posted all around stating masks must be worn and that corporate had mandated this rule and still refused to check me in without a mask even after I explained I had a medical condition. In fact this is a county mandate which on page 4 section 5 subsection E. They clearly violated my civil rights under this mandate. I am a diamond member staying at around 70 rooms a year with choice hotels. After this experience I will no longer stay at any choice hotels unless no others are available. My civil and constitutional rights have been violated. read more

When I brought this issue to the front desk, I was told the manager was sick and would contact me, which never happen. The desk clerk was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. We reserved a king room-when we checked in, the clerk (I think she was also a manager) said we were in a double. I asked if we could get a king room and was told no, because we used a third party booker (Hotels.com) we couldn't change the reservation. I offered to pay the difference and she said no. Definitely got the feeling that we were low class guests & didn't deserve better service. Next, she said that use of the pool was by reservation only. When I asked her to explain, she said we were lucky the pool was open at all due to Covid. I then asked to reserve the pool. She pulled out a clipboard that was completely blank. I asked to reserve from 3;30-5 in the afternoon and she refused, saying that was too long & it 'wasn't fair to the other guests' We were the only car in the parking lot other than hers. No maid service, no restocking of towels & supplies-Never stayed at a hotel with so many rules & such an attitude of entitlement. Awful experience. First, we were placed in a room with no air conditioning (i.e. sauna level heat). The overnight clerk offered to call maintenance the next day. When we complained again, she said she had no ability to change anything because was unable to reach the manager. After we came to the lobby and made a fuss, we were finally moved to another room. The manager had never responded to the clerk's calls. The next day, when we got back to the hotel, our keys no longer worked. The manager gave us new keys; however, at that point we asked to pay to switch to a larger room (having left not one item in our freshly cleaned room). She refused with no description of the reason. When I went to write a review in the Choice Hotel system, I found that our reservation had been removed, which meant no review could be added. When I complained about this, the manager claimed to have no knowledge about the app - and also no boss who could be notified. Also, the beds are far too soft, which was a large part of the reason the original room size did not work. As a final thought, we were the only black family in the hotel (and possibly in the town). The treatment we received could be a coincidence, but it did not feel like one. There were many approaches the manager could have taken to mitigate our concerns (including simply using a polite tone of voice), but that is not the choice she made. Please note that I felt welcomed throughout the rest of Sheridan and Wyoming. read more

The people at this property are really great - couldn't be better. The property isn't ideal: not near the freeway but very loud - you hear every vehicle that goes by and if anyone in a room within 4 doors of you shuts their door door too hard your walls literally shake. I give this place 5 stars!!! Clean, easy access, good breakfast and an incredible gal ( Brittany ) at the front desk!! We needed 2 rooms and she only had 1! Instead of sending us on our way she must have called 6 motels in Sheridan looking for our 2 rooms!! While making these calls someone cancelled over the internet and she got us booked!! I spent 30 years in customer service so i know it when i see it!! Brittany went well above what the normal clerk would have done and with an extremely pleasant attitude in the process! We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, and did not smell whatsoever. Hotel seems new, and pool was beautiful and clean, with a view of a sunset through windows in the evening. The free breakfast was well stocked, had many more choices than other continental breakfasts, and staff was helpful. Another nice aspect is that it was very quiet both day and night, and the air conditioner did not make noise like in some hotels. We greatly recommend staying here. read more

Ok, lots of stuff here. Some good, a little bad, but overall, as good as can be expected. We used the pool which was great and the hot tub which was VERY chlorinated as other guests have noted. The shower had these weird cultured marble walls which didn't really seem to fit, but the shower head was tall enough even for a tall guy and had very nice water flow. The room was clean and the Wi-Fi was fast enough to watch live TV on my tablet. The breakfast in the morning was very good and had fresh options such as fruit, juice, oatmeal with toppings and waffles. It was actually possible to eat a hearty, healthy breakfast at the hotel. The view was great and it was easy to access from the freeway. The front desk recommended we go to Kendrick Park for ice cream which turned out to be great advice. read more

Stayed four nights during rodeo week. Nice facility, but mattresses were shot and the walls haven't been cleaned for a long time. We ran out of TP (1/2 roll total in the room), Kleenex, got shorted towels, the safe didn't work and one day housekeeping just skipped us! Several trips to the desk over our stay, but nothing else was available in town. The young man who was at the desk in the evening really was nice and earned the two stars. I left a detailed review at the checkin counter when we checked out, but haven't heard a peep from them. We will not be staying here on our next trip. read more
