We had an excellent stay at the Comfort Inn in Chilliwack. The check in ladies were wonderful, friendly, and efficient. We got a first floor room because we had our dog with us and it was so convenient! We were able to load in and out through that door and get some fresh air as well. The room was a bit small but it was comfortable. The fridge and microwave were a great added bonus. The included breakfast was fantastic with lots of options and friendly staff too. I gave 4 stars because the carpet in the room was dirty but I would definitely stay here again. Great value. read more

I paid just under 200 for a room and I am sleeping in my car because I am allergic to perfume and the room smells so strongly of perfume I cannot breathe. I still have to pay for the room. Front desk guy is absolutely no help and knows I am sleeping in my car amd does not care. First and last time I will rent a room here. read more

we initially booked a room for a one night stay and then was referred to a call centre, after confiming the booking, the agent then passed us on to another division of comfort / choice hotels, that rep was quite beligerent and was offering us opportunities to invest in a time share????? the rep would not listen and simply spouted about this incredible deal??? we immediately cancelled our reservation and have no black listed any future hotel reservations with this chain???? read more

My husband booked a hotel for our two boys so they could go to Vancouver from Kelowna to drop off a friend at the airport. He used our credit card to reserve this. When the three young fellas got to the hotel they were told they could not check in because they did not have a credit card to book the incidentals. It was 11:30 at night, a busy Easter weekend - between my husband and my boys they spent over an hour to get this booked in the first place as all places were full in that area. The hotel clerk was not willing to help us in any way. We asked her if were to facetime so she could see my husband, his ID and show her the credit card he used so she could confirm all details and she said she could not do that. We asked if the boys could give her $100 cash for her to hold til morning, for incidentals? No go. Same when we asked her if $500 cash would work. She said there were options available during the day that aren't available now... so maybe 5 hours earlier and they would have a hotel? So they are on their way the airport and they now have to sleep in the car - small car and our two boys are 6'5". The clerk (name unknown and the boys don't want to ask) at the hotel was callous, uncaring, unemotional. She just didn't have any compassion for what the experience for any of us - especially those tired three young men standing there in the lobby. When we asked to reach a manager she said she would give us an email... sure... I'm sure we are bound to get that person to see it at this time of the night?! We did book this through Hotels.com and the gal there (Christine) did all she could to make this happen... except she also had to speak with the clerk at the hotel. Within minutes she sent us a note that the credit card had been refunded - we won't see the money for something like 2 - 7 biz days. Christine was the light in this whole situation. Thank you Christine. Yet my boys are still without a place to sleep tonight. Thanks for being so difficult to deal with. We will not be booking with you again. read more

We checked in 3 days. The staff and manager all need retraining I'm hospitality as they are lacking in any skills. Manager feels he can over ride government regulations regarding smoking as you can smoke 2 meters from doors, windows and air vents. The hall ways and one of the two rooms we rented on the first day smelled of Marijuana (which I am highly allergic to) staff advised us to bad. We are welcome to check out but we would get no refunds. Asthane should never be at the front desk. First morning there her "lovely personality showed when she cursed at me for asking for me towels. Oh they deep cleaned missed notes from past guests advising them of their any problems. Ps ants are still a huge issue in room 135. 133 also seems to have bugs as well. Ps it says it is pet friendly but that is a lie. Do not stay at this hotel. Ps they're breakfast are nasty even our dog wouldn't eat it. read more

READ BEFORE BOOKING Apparently, the manager is under the impression that all guests are local and are able to read all their fine print when booking..... My wife and I are not from Chilliwack, actually a body of water separates us requiring a ferry ride to get there. We booked our stay as we were going to be seeing family and friends as well as some business and Cultas Lake water park and amusement park. We booked the hotel as it is pet friendly....sort of. We were informed that at no time can pets be left unattended, even if running to the mall right next door..... Doggy day care would be required. Ok, fine, we will deal with the extra expense. Not happy, but what ever. The staff mentioned that once a room is vacated, a deep full on cleaning is done. We found ants in the bed, and one of the last guests left a note stating there were ants in the bed in one room, and bugs in a bed in the other room. The bigger issue, which the manager refused to even acknowledge, one of the rooms smelled of marijuana, even the hall way.... and my wife is highly allergic to it. When this was brought up, we were informed that the Hotels rule was "minimum of 6 feet from doors and windows". When I mentioned that the regulations for BC is, "The Tobacco and Vapour Products Control Regulation sets a six metre zone around all doorways, air intakes and open windows to any public and work places in B.C." https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/health/keeping-bc-healthy-safe/tobacco-vapour/requirements-under-tobacco-vapour-product-control-act-regulation/tobacco-vapour-free-places Mentioning this with in 30 minutes of checking in fell on deaf ears. The manager actually stated that even if we left right then, he would not refund the money for the 3 night booking. We have encountered this problem of marijuana with a number of hotels and all of them have gone as far as not only moving us to different rooms, but they moved our baggage for us. As I write this, one guest is smoking right outside the room the guest has rented. The next morning, my wife went to ask about 2 extra towels because only 4 towels had been provided for 6 people. The girl at the counter cut my wife off in mid sentence and screamed at her, "A fucking please would be nice"..... Some of the staff is just rude and insulting. I would suggest either retraining or a new career in the prison system. The so called breakfast that is complimentary..... a single squeeze drink box for kids, either Apple or Orange juice, a nutragrain bar, and a FROZEN breakfast sandwich (egg, bacon or sausage). The breakfast sandwich should be labeled with "The contents of this package are not fit for human consumption"....I accidentally knocked my plate over and my dog that saw the chance for some human food, she grabbed the sandwich before I could do anything, and as all large breed dog will, she began to try choking it down as fast as she could. After having a couple chews, she spit it out, barked at it, laid down looking at this would be food and started to whine..... My son thought this was funny till he tried it.... then it wasn't so funny as he realized if the dog wouldn't eat it, there had to be a reason! The manager has the personality of a shyster Lawyer and a used car salesman. To call him a Conman is an insult to the criminal element. The way he and some of his staff treat guests would go against the Criminal Code the treatment of prisoners in Prison. Not only would I NEVER recommend this location, I would label it an ideal location for the Canadian government to use as a Prison as the Commandant is already in place. I have gotten better service from Travelodge in Abbotsford as a non paying guest. I will NEVER stay at this Comfort Inn location again, not even if I was paid to stay there. read more

Arrived at 4pm as check in was 3. The Lady at the front did the entire check in including the $100 authorization and THEN mentions the room won't be ready "for an hour". She was extremely unpleasant and then did the exact same thing to the next customer. I was totally unimpressed and didn't buy her excuse that they "got slammed" the night before. (The parking lot was 95% empty while I was there.) After sitting in the parking lot and finding a better hotel, room, and rate at the Hampton Inn, I went back in to tell her and she said "it's up to you". Again, no apologies. A couple of days later I called and talked to a younger lady (Hannah?) and she had the same level of service and attitude as the previous. This one said she'd give my number to the manager and say it was urgent. It's been 2 months and still no call. I'll never stay at Comfort Inn Chilliwack and will likely not choose that chain in the future. Shame on them for not valuing their customers. read more

I recently made a reservation for me and my show dog. I was told that there was a $25 deposit and a $10 charge for my dog and I agreed. I arrived at 9 p.m. and was told that they did not have a room for me even though I had a reservation. The front desk employee, Hannah, said that if I took my dog to the room, she would charge me $250 extra and she cancelled my reservation. I asked to speak to a Manager and she said that the Manager, Jan, was at home and did not want to be bothered. I asked her to call her anyway, Jan said that this happens a lot, there was nothing she could do and hung up on me. I drove to the nearby Coast Hotel and was greeted by an incredibly helpful and friendly front desk person who welcomed me and my dog. The room was clean and less expensive than the unComfort Inn. I contacted the Corporate Offices and received a Comment ID and a promise that I would hear back in 7 - 10 days. It has been 3 weeks with no response. If you are attending a dog show (or any event) in Chilliwack, I highly recommend the Coast Hotel. read more

This hotel is clean and right near the highway , rooms are a good size and the free breakfast is decent. Steer clear of those blister packed hard boiled eggs though ;) I'm giving only two stars because of the horrendous attitudes of the staff. Check in was Selena and she was cold, unfriendly and obviously miserable and spreading her misery. I was told they needed my credit card, I know the drill. But they made me enter my pin and ok the charges (my room was already prepaid though hotels.com) they did not give me a receipt. The next morning I checked out with Bianca who was unbelievably rude, condescending and wretched. I asked for my refund as they had charged my card and she said they didn't, I explained I was not issued a receipt and wasn't confident I wasn't charged as my card was swiped and I had to enter my pin etc. she rudely held a receipt up and asked if I could read that it says pre authorization. I was shaking with anger and embarrassment. She continued to ridicule me by saying don't you know what pre authorization is and I calmly replied I understand and thank you, I was merely verifying as last nights staff wouldn't give me a copy. This person shouldn't be working with the public at all. I will stay at best western next time for sure, the fact that those two work in the hospitality industry blows my mind. read more

I stay at a lot of hotels with my work, and I know the best places can have bed bugs, but.......... !!!!! Even the front desk clerk saw the bugs and after sending the management pictures of the bug bites - we were told there was no bugs in the room we stayed in! Complete crap. We should have moved hotels but at 10pm at night and no other rooms available in that hotel, it was hard to move the kids that late. They brought up cots but it was too late. The management assured us there were no bugs and we lessened our cautiousness at home below evening him. Now we are afraid the bugs are in the kids room as new bites are showing up and if we brought them home we will be even more pissed! Oh yah and a bunch of cars were broken into and smashed windows. We were told AFTER that they had been having problems with break ins and were installing cameras. No help to us at the time!!!! NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN !!!!! read more

Comfort Inn - Hotels Near Me - Chilliwack, British Columbia

So unimpressed. Showed up a couple hours early and from the moment we walked in the door the front desk clerk was unabashedly rude and unpleasant. Asked if there was any chance of an early check in and without even checking she told us nope, and made us seem like the most unwelcome guests in the world. Reined in the temper and decided not to react and went to sit in the car and get ready for the wedding we were attending. Upon returning there was a different staff member at the desk who had NO problem accommodating a bit early of a check in, was welcome, helpful and acknowledged the fact her co worker was extremely rude. Room was alright, didn't spend much time in it. Returned home the Sunday night and realized the Monday morning that I had left my $200 face cleansing brush in the shower along with my face care products. Called immediately and she told me nothing had been turned in, would call me if there was. I called back later, nothing, and sent an email. Clearly whoever cleaned the room realized the value of the brush and decided to keep it for themselves and enjoy a sparkly clean face. No response on the email, 3 days later. Really shit experience. Will never return to this hotel. Turned it into a $450 sleepover. read more

Great location near everything, walked to movie theater, restaurants (and Tim Horton's). The staff was very friendly and helpful, room was modern and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The free "breakfast" was good though the hard-cooked eggs were really hard. That being our only complaint, and after all, it was free. read more
