Plenty of free parking, more around the back. A huge shout-out to Neelam, Kirin, and Serena at the front desk. On our most recent visit, Serena made some last minute room changes for our party that worked out very well. She applied her resources to this problem over two days and persistently sought a solution as if we were the most important guest the property had ever welcomed. Neelam and Kirin both did an excellent job on this visit and past visits to select specific rooms for us and make us welcome. A big thank-you also to Roselle the manager who always makes it a point to welcome us personally, and works silently behind the scenes to make sure every aspect of every visit is simply perfect. If you have business in the BC lower mainland, want to be treated like a VIP, need top accommodations at an affordable price point, and flexibility in last minute room changes, then this hotel is well located and clearly open for business! Lots of parking. Great customer service at check in. Building only has 3 floors We booked a suite and it looked like a small one bedroom apartment. Comfortable for our two night stay. Our room had a beautiful view of the pond and we loved watching the baby ducks swim around. It was quite peaceful. We were only there for one night, but we put the pool/hot tub/sauna to good use while we were there. The beds were very comfortable, but it is disappointing that they don't have rooms with 2 queen beds, only doubles.

I had enquired for a price match that I noticed on the webpage as I was booking. the problem is the price I paid was 100 dollars less than the price offered eventually over the phone the next day. we had min choice for hotels in chilliwack, old hotel staff doesn't take booking? Andrea was not kind to us and at one point snatched the key cards she gave me back off the desk and said she would not be checking me in right now and I would wait! hours before a wedding we were in town for. Andrea also seems to be fine with the aggressive drug users out front of the hotel at the lobby whom were around the entire time we were at the hotel. seems no security was present, guests vehicles and belonging and personal safety doesn't seem to be top priority for Andrea. at one point the aggressive behaviour of the drug users was hostile towards myself and other guests. DO NOT STAY !!! there are other hotels in Chilliwack, coast api hotels says what they want to get you in. I will say the other staff was great, friendly and also had things to say about Andrea as a manger. it seems Andrea is kind only when she wants to be! shame the hotels didn't want to respoke after I reached out.

We got the suite with 2 queen beds and the sofa bed and it was a very comfortable experience. There is a solid wall partition between the sofa bed and queen beds but about half of the room doesn't have a partition. It still provided a lot of sound protection, so that the person sleeping on the sofa bed wouldn't hear snoring from the other side. There's also a table with seating, microwave and mini fridge. Importantly, we didn't hear street noise. The breakfast was a little different from most Holiday Inn breakfasts I've eaten before. They had the pancake maker, yogurt and oatmeal like I'm used to but they also had a very bland French toast instead of biscuits, a very porky tasting pork sausage, and 2 types of omlettes.

The hotel has also been really nicely upgraded and refurbished. The fixtures, such as the rainhead showerheads, the outlet and charging areas, the furniture, comfortable bed etc. have all been thoughtfully redesigned -- even a recycling bin and non-slip mat for the shower. There are, however, a few drawbacks: There's nothing they can do about it this, but their proximity to the Transcanada Highway and South Fraser mean there is lots of traffic and it is pretty loud during the day and even early evening. I'm not sure if they have double-pane windows, but I went out to get a set of headphones to help me go to sleep. My check-in experience was also less than optimal. During COVID times, many hotels are doing pre-registration, or other means to ensure very quick, contactless check-in. There was one man ahead of me who had a bunch of extra questions and requests, and I waited for awhile. There was only one person at the desk, but at one point, another employee (presumably a manager of some kind) saw me standing in line and deliberately went into the office that was across from the lobby. That was exceedingly poor customer experience... even without the means to check me in himself, he needed to come over, apologize for the wait, ask how my trip was and assure me I would be taken care of as soon as possible. Guest relations 101. Instead I went on waiting. Once I got to the desk, check in was courteous and quick. There is also not breakfast offered on site. There is a Denny's next door, but in COVID times, I am not dining indoors, so I left the hotel to go to Starbucks and another place the other day. I would have gladly paid extra to have had an easy on-site breakfast option. Finally, the one eco-friendly option I am not seeing here yet are bulk shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers. We have these in our vacation rental, and little bottles are really going out of style, so I hope they will consider them for the future. Mostly though, a good stay at a very reasonable price!

Here is what his excuse was "The employee in question is actually not my direct employee. We borrowed him from our sister property to cover a shift." That's it! No offer of a refund, nada. 1. The front desk clerk was smoking a cigarette in the area that guests pull their vehicles up to to check in. I had to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get by him. 2. I realized he was the clerk as he followed me to the hotel, reeking of cigarettes as he blew smoke on me while trying to talk to me. 3. Once he realized I was American, he said the following "Should we kill Donald Trump, or just impeach him?". I found this extremely insulting and disgusting. To even speak of killing another countries President is revolting. I made a comment hoping to quiet him and he would not quit. He went on and on and on about it, and even did so in front of another customer. It was extremely embarrassing. I don't know what kind of people they are hiring at this hotel, but after coming to this hotel multiple times a year and every year, we will never come here again. The man was insulting. The elevator also reeked of cigarettes, likely because of the employee. We also had to put up with a barking dog across the hall from us (didn't know animals were allowed), and the room maids never checked and reset the alarm clock. We were woken up at 5:00AM by the alarm clock and it woke up all of our children, especially our 2 year old whom we couldn't get back to sleep. I've never had an alarm clock go off because every other hotel checks the alarms and removes the previous customers alarm. The room was not properly cleaned and we found black chunks of something and stains all over one of the beds. We weren't going to call your guy at the front desk after our previous run in. The room also smelled of ciggarete smoke and we could smell it in the hallways as well. We have never had a worse experience at a hotel.

I did find out however the night before I departed there was a random old blood stain on the sheets that looked like it had been there for at least a year. If I had seen that my first day I would have contacted the front desk. Like I said basics but the cleanliness could probably be stepped up a little in the rooms and sheets.

They have the most fabulous breakfast ever! There were rotating items daily: omelettes (cheese and western), scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, Canadian back bacon, sausages, home fries, pancakes, waffles, berry compote, muffins, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee and tea. The ladies continually brought out food and cleaned the tables, always friendly & efficient. There was coffee and water always available in the lobby so we could keep our water bottles filled. We initially booked for 4 days, but were so happy that we booked an additional 3 days. I would stay here again and heartily recommend it.
