Looking around for some interesting and fun options we stumbled upon this B&B and decided to call to see if there were any openings. We were in luck! We quickly gave them some information and made our way down there. Upon our entry we were greeted warmly by Liberty the proprietor. She was wonderful and made check in super easy. I made myself some tea, helped myself to some gingersnap cookies, and got settled in for the night. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower had a never ending (or so it seemed) supply of hot water and there was more than enough towels. I quickly felt at easy in the room and knew I would be getting a good nights rest. Breakfast, Liberty informed us, was held at two times, 7:30 and 9am. We picked to have ours early, which I was against, but it turned out wonderful. We got to eat a nice early breakfast and then went back to bed! Check out was at 11 so we got a few more hours of relaxing in before we hit the hiking trails. Yes, a late start, but the bed was too comfortable to leave! Breakfast was delicious. Scrambled eggs, french toast, sausage, and a fruit cup. They had orange juice, coffee, and tea. What a treat! The food was perfect. I could not ask for a better breakfast. This place was perfect. I would stay here again in a second. It was also so close to the attractions of Ohiopyle that it would be stupid not to suggest everyone to stay here!

Not to mention the breakfast was fresh and delicious AND. My favorite part.... during the afternoon Liberty put out brownies and cupcakes for treats!!! I'm a pig so that was awesoooome haha. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to be comfortable without spending a ton. About 5 minutes from falling water, 20 minutes from kentuck knob, 10 minutes from the windmills across from the stone quarry (worth a gander!) and I dunno. 10 minutes from Ohiopyle park? VERY close to everything!!!

My two sisters and I (and our significant others) came to celebrate a milestone birthday and were beyond impressed with this place. The ambiance is fantastic! The courtyard is beautiful as well as the patio in the back. The decorating that Kitty has done throughout the inside of the house is really beautiful. And as David says, "We want to concentrate on two things: The bed, and the breakfast." And that is exactly what they have done here. Each evening, David will come to offer your breakfast choices for the following morning. And it's not just bacon and eggs people... these are GOURMET offerings all made fresh on site using fresh ingredients. We had a choice of a peach cobbler oatmeal that had peaches from the tree in the backyard even and it was delicious! There was also one addition that just made my stay even more superb... a little dog named "Jack" and he is the most precious (smiling) doggie that I have ever seen! So stinkin' CUTE! My mom and I stayed for a few days and were in awe of how sweet and cozy (and affordable) this BnB truly is. The BnB serves as their family farm home and the upper floor is the BnB. They just recently built the home with accents of wood and stones collected from the farm itself. Kelly (owner) welcomes you with plenty of info on activities in the area, and their family is delightful. She cooks a beautiful hot breakfast every morning (french toast, eggs, bacon, etc etc). Nearly every evening, she baked a treat of some kind to welcome us home. It was truly a home away from home. Not only is the BnB centrally located, but it has the most beautiful landscape and view. Sitting on their front porch swing watching the sunset reading a book became our favorite way to spend a calm, relaxing evening. Can't recommend this BnB enough! The pictures don't do it justice.

We stayed in the FLW Mantyla house for one night and it was unfortunately a HOT weekend so it was about 85 degrees in the house and we had some issues with the lights not turning off at night in one of the bedrooms. Of course FLW houses don't have built-in A/C and often have "unique" aspects so none of this is entirely unexpected but just be aware in the summer. In the morning though, we saw a beautiful deer and her fawn outside the patio which is not uncommon at most FLW houses we've stayed at but still amazing to see through the huge windows of a Usonian house. I would never stay more than one night at the houses given that you need to be out while they're doing tours during the day but it's worth a one night stay if you're visiting Falling Water and definitely dine at the Tree Tops restaurant. I'd say 3.5 stars overall and I would consider staying again just to eat at the restaurant and not have to drive far afterward. :)

Then we were lead to a short shuttle bus that took us to each hour and then back to where we started. We had a great time learning about each house along with the history behind it. The architecture is super interesting and unique. Really the only downside is that you're now allowed to take videos but you can take pictures!

We've stayed here countless times and feel like we've discovered a secret summer playground for our multi-generational family. The location is unbeatable, with a nature preserve literally right behind the property offering peaceful hiking with two trail heads flanking the property by a mile or so. Mornings spent wandering through the woods with birds chirping and fresh mountain air were pure magic. The area is packed with amazing attractions just a short drive away. You can't miss the Frank Lloyd Wright homes--Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, and the stunning houses at Polymath Park, all architectural masterpieces nestled in the beautiful countryside. Touring them felt like stepping into history and nature blended perfectly. For outdoor fun, we like to visit nearby Ohiopyle State Park for incredible hiking, waterfalls, rafting on the Youghiogheny River, and scenic trails that make every day an adventure. It's a summer paradise for bikers, hikers, and nature photographers. We loved visiting the local zoo/wildlife spots for family-friendly animal encounters, and Seven Springs Mountain Resort is just minutes away with exciting events all summer long--concerts, festivals, and more. After a day out adventuring we enjoyed taking care of ourselves at the luxurious Trillium Spa for massages, facials, and total relaxation in a serene mountain setting. It's the ultimate treat! Dining is fantastic too. Helen's at Seven Springs delivered an upscale, memorable meal with rustic charm. Treetops at Polymath park with their private treehouses was the most memorable dining experience we've had. Out of the Fire restaurant is our family's favorite, with American fare, and a mushroom soup that is notorious, you can even grab some to go. And this rental puts you in the heart of it all. The property itself is comfortable and well-equipped, and is cozy yet expansive, space for everyone to come together or spend time in solitude. It was a joy to come home, grill out, and unwind after full days of exploration. We loved cooking up big meals and enjoying them together adjacent the fireplace. The pancake mix and local maple syrup left as a gift from Candi was such a thoughtful gesture, we made a special trip to Duck Farms, nearby, to see how they make their syrup first hand. We can't recommend this cabin enough--book your summer stay now and get ready for the best family or friends trip ever. This is Pennsylvania summer at its finest!
