Comfort Inn was there for me and my family when we needed to come home for my sisters funeral. We were there 5 days. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was nice, patient and helpful with any requests that I needed. Having the grandkids with us was a joy but also treacherous on our room. So every morning I made sure to organize the rubbish and towels to make it easier for housekeeping. It was pleasant talking with the young lady in the morning. My grandkids saw their first snowfall. Disaster from the beginning...If I would have known it was a Holiday Inn right up the road, that is where I would have stayed. I will start at the end and work my way to the beginning. I was charged $266.88 for smoking in my room. I never smoked a day in my life. The final bill that I received at check out, did not have these charges. After my trip, it was funny how I was told NOT to stay at this hotel because they will charge your debit card fraudulent charges. Not you credit card because credit cards can easily be disputed. Low and behold, I discovered these charges days after on my online bank statement once I returned home. Matt and Tina really need a course in customer service. When I called and spoke to Matt and Tina, as soon as I told them what the call was about, they became really defensive. Kept talking over me and wouldn't let me get a word in. They kept hanging up the phone on me. Once they told me they couldn't help me, I was just trying to get the information for someone that could help. Little do they know, Choice Hotels was listening in the whole time. It was a 4 night stay. They said, on my second night, guests were complaining about smoke coming from my room and the engineer came knocking on my door and said he smell smoke coming from the room...That never happened. When I asked Matt to check his cameras to prove that no one ever came to my door, he said, (in a very nasty tone) we don't just have cameras pointed at each guest door. I was fully aware of that but, I suggested it because just so happened, my room was right by a camera. Not only that but, if there were complaints on my second night, why did they allow me to extend my stay?????? When I decided to extend my stay, Martha (very nice lady) let someone who did not book my room make the changes. Not only did she allow him to charge my room but, she allowed him to charge my sister's room also. The next morning "breakfast" was thrown in a bag (Jimmy Dean sausage biscuit, small juice and a muffin) I could not heat mine in my room because a foul smell came from the microwave. I literally had to leave the room. Upon arriving, I said to my family, what did I get us into...And this was before we even got to our rooms. Cierra checked me in and even though she was very nice and pleasant, mistakes were made in the very beginning. Once in the room, the linens had stains and the towels were dingy. Oh, let me not forget, my sisters had to stop someone from entering my room when a "DO NO DISTURB sign was clearly visible. read more

Gave 3 stars because missing remote for tv and Internet was quite long to log on. Low water pressure in shower and would like to see flavored coffee creamers. I was at 4 stars until the water pressure. No one likes to wash under a trickle. Tub had some quickie spot repairs, so you could see the discolored patches that had not been sanded nor coated. Maintenance checklist needs to be enforced. That said, the night manager was friendly and our room was very clean. Clean beats many other considerations. The AC unit is efficient and quiet - which means I can raise a ruckus with my snoring and not compete for attention with some mechanical unit. The free breakfast is simple and nice. Lots of carbs, some eggs and sausage. Juices and mini yogurts. Breads of the normal variety and English muffins. Spouses cardinal sins (sorry) 1. No flavored coffee creamers (spouse unit goes into grumpy-shock) 2. Shower pressure was abysmal !! (Spouse gets scowl-face) Still - very clean and comfortable - I'd stay here again - but hope they work their checklist more thoroughly next time. read more

I only stayed in this location due to my job. From staying here, I more than likely would not willing go back. Don't get me wrong, the staff and workers are really nice people but simple things are overlooked. There was dusty vent covers, broken pieces off of the toilet, missing wall plates, unprofessional plaster jobs, etc. Not to mention, there was a few bug issues. Granted no hotel anywhere is perfect, but these simple things should be fixed. One example, my shower rod was broken, too the point where I couldn't close the curtain, water would literally splash to the floor. This was a Monday evening. I called the front desk, they notified me maintenance was gone for the day but would fix it Tuesday morning (they leave a note/request for maintenance). I get off work Tuesday evening and you guessed it; the shower was still broken. I call back to the desk and make them aware again. Of course, maintenance is gone but they guarantee it'll be fixed Wednesday morning (again they would leave a note/request for maintenance). Well I get off work Wednesday and guess what?!?! IT'S STILL BROKEN! By this time, I'm just done with it. When I check out on Friday, I express this to I believe the manager. He expressed his sincerest apologies. He also goes on to state how he was unaware of the situation. He said he never saw a maintenance request. Considering I wasn't paying for it bc my job was, I didn't escalate this as high as I should've. I did however fill out a survey on the Comfort Inn website and they immediately responded back. Between that and the free happy hour every evening, is the ONLY reason I gave 3 stars. read more

We have stayed here in the past with no problems; however, on this past trip. We was not satisfied. I understand the COVID 19 has placed a quagmire on the economy. But the price of the room was great but the hidden charges took it to another level. The quality was subpar. Our room 104 reeked of heavy bleach that took hours to get the smell out. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. During the night we had to adjust the room air conditioning system many times from the heat to cooling that interrupted our sleep patterns. In addition, we were battling insects from biting flies to gnats flying around the room. The next time we visit the area, we will spend more money for better comfort at one of the quality hotels. read more

My husband and I stay here whenever we're in town visiting family. It's on one of the main drags and close to plenty of places to eat. You can walk to at least 3 places without crossing the main street. The staff here is always super nice and helpful. We've had very few issues here and those we did were handled swiftly. The bed is comfortable and they give a variety of pillows to suit your tastes. We've only stayed in a king room and it usually had either a small sofa or chair and ottoman. The chair, to me, is comfier and if you're of a particular size, you should fit quite nicely. The office chair is decent as well if you have to do any work. Speaking of which, their Wifi is way better than I could've expected. They're are a bunch of connections to choose from and you just pick which is the strongest and connect. No need to re-log in or put in a password. We love that there is a refrigerator with freezer and microwave in the rooms. It makes it so much easier to pick up food for later. They offer a free full breakfast and most people do take advantage of it. You can easily load up and bring the food back to your room, however. We have tried staying at a different hotel and found this one to be the better choice and value. read more

What a nice hotel for the small price! Beverly, the woman who checked us in was very sweet and honest when telling us about the only room left which happened to be smoking. She didn't sugarcoat and we appreciated it. The room was clean (even if it did smell like stale smoke), had been vacuumed, had nice clean bedsheets and comforter and everything had been wiped down. The bed was very firm and came stocked with five pillows. I would absolutely suggest you to bring a few of your own, because these are very small. The room was equipped with a large flat-screen television (which is absolutely impossible to hook to a video game console because the HDMI ports are covered), a refrigerator, microwave, desk and chair, a safe, and a extra roomy chair for reading. The bathroom was clean and had extra toiletries, but the toilet was in desperate need of repair as it kept coming up from the floor. This is my only reason for not giving five stars as that was a major inconvenience. The free breakfast the next morning was delightfully good. It included scrambled eggs, sausage links, muffins, bagels with cream cheese, hot cereal, fruit (oranges and bananas), toast, and pastries. It also had apple juice, coffee and orange juice. There is also a really good restaurant within walking distance (Wooly McDuff's Grille) which serves some of the best seafood Alfredo that we've ever had. MUST try and yes, they do honor take-out and have a bar. Very nice place and we will be back! read more

We travel all over the country and this Comfort Inn had the dirtiest bathroom we had ever seen. Hair was all in the bathtub and the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. For the price, this was a great hotel. It met my expectations. There is a restaurant right in front of this hotel that delivered food to us after a long day in the car. Pool towels were hard to come by, but the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was slightly below average: Eggs seemed odd...almost fake, but the waffles, toast, juice, coffee, etc. were just right. My bed was very comfortable. They couldn't promise my large family adjoining rooms. When we arrived around 5:00 we were told no adjoining rooms were left. Unfortunate visit. The comedy show began at check-in and continued for my 3 day stay. Manager checked me in and failed to give me the Internet password. Normally not a big deal, pick up the phone and call the desk right? I would have if the phone worked. Another phone and cord and still no deal, I am still wondering how they planned on giving me my 5 am wake up call. I came back to my room after a long day at work to find the phone fixed... unfortunately the fix resulted in NO Internet connection in the room. Seriously? Being very concerned about personal security I never connect to open wireless networks. Especially random hotel wireless networks. The next morning as I am leaving the front doors I step into to open area and slip on the slick glossy wet paint that was used to paint the covered area in front of the lobby doors. Bruised knee, elbow and scratched hand is the result as well as being soaked from the standing water there. Back inside to change and off to work. Upon my return still no Internet and no sign of the manager who you think would care about all of this. The manager apparently headed next door to the bar and left the poor desk clerk to run the place. My recommendation is stay at the Hampton Inn across the street. read more
