The hotel staff were nice and friendly about it stating that the owners under no circumstance would allow a cancellation and that I would be stuck paying for the room whether I show up or not. Somehow this just seems like theft if you ask me. I get that they don't want to give a refund, but they are not going to be providing a service to me either and with the advance notice it shouldn't even be legal to not refund or at least partially refund. It's not even typical practice to charge a hotel guest until checkout anyway so it just all seems wrong. I will do my best in the future to avoid booking at Quality Inn

This is my go to hotel when I visit family and friends in the area . It is very clean and inexpensive with that old school vibe . Lots of pine trees and grass make it feel more like home than a regular hotel . If you stay here , make sure you get one of the King Suites on either side of the pool . These are the newer rooms and only cost a few dollars more . I checked out one of the regular rooms this time by the office side and it was older and not very nice , almost like a different hotel . I would say the one review that said he had bed bugs or his room was dirty was in one of these . I went back to the office and got my usual King Suite on the left side of the pool . I have stayed in that same building 3 different years , 2014 , 2019 , and this time . I did notice the pool was dirty this time and looked like it wasn't in working condition . I have never used the pool , but it is usually very clean and nice . I always come here in the Fall , so I'm not swimming in the cold . Most of the other hotels in the area are like $90 and up , but this place is like $70 for a King Suite and well worth it . The beds are comfortable and is good for a couple nights stay . Close to town for restaurants and stores . It's very quite here and they have a chair outside your room if you want to sit outside . There are also picnic tables .

Around 2 - 3 miles down from the hotel you'll find a few fast-food restaurants (TacoBell, McDonalds, Sonic ...) I was here for work and found my stay extremely satisfactory. I did arrive at 2 pm to check-in. The receptionist informed me she was not allowed to check anyone in until 4 pm. As I was walking out, an employee got my attention and let me a few rooms were available and they could go-ahead and get me in. So, I recommend arriving as close to 4 pm as possible. Cannot comment on their complimentary breakfast (on the road for work). No daily housekeeping unfortunately. However, you can receive items for your room from the front desk. Not sure how new this hotel is - but it still has the new feel to it. The couch looked firm and in pristine condition. The room was clean/sleek/modern. I like the placement of the TV/panel behind the TV - a gaming console could easily be placed on the dresser for convenient hookup. The TV does have streaming services available (Netflix, Youtube, Showtime) The gym has soo much!!! Free weights, cable machine, ellipticals, treadmills, resistance bands, kettlebells ... Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was nice, patient and helpful with any requests that I needed. Having the grandkids with us was a joy but also treacherous on our room. So every morning I made sure to organize the rubbish and towels to make it easier for housekeeping. It was pleasant talking with the young lady in the morning. My grandkids saw their first snowfall. I was given a room on the top floor and even given a recommendation for dinner. When I arrived, there was a baby shower in the lobby, and possibly a family reunion. My room was large and almost clean. There were two white substances on the counter. It didn't photograph so well in the light, but one I took without the light on. It appeared to be missed in cleaning the counter. The WIFI was great, and there was a good selection of television stations. I could hear some of the traffic from the highway, so I adjusted the fan to stay on to buffer it. But it wasn't an issue I first thought it would be. The hotel had a pool and a small fitness room. Breakfast was great. When I got there, the lobby was full of high school or college students heading to a robotics competition. It was hard to find a seat. But waffles, breads, cereals, oatmeal, as well as hot foods were offered. I believe there were yogurts and some fruit as well. The breakfast area was well attended to, and she kept the selections stocked. I am planning a return here in May and hope for another great stay.
