A Mexican restaurant and a convenience store are within walking distance across the parking lot. The outside did look sketchy so I was worried about my car being broke into (we have a huge tv, tons of clothes, and a safe in it as we are moving) but it wasn't touched. Nice to see that some guests used them. * In-shower shampoo/conditioner & body lotion on wall next to sink. * M/W, fridge (although mine wasn't very cool & might need service), small coffee pot with a couple of coffees. * Breakfast from 6:30-9:30am on the weekend. It was very good... sausage links, egg patty, biscuits & gravy. Some cereal, waffle iron & a few carbs... bread, bagels. No fruit. Unsure if they had coffee... I didn't see drinks, but I carry my own espresso maker, so I don't usually imbibe. * Lots of TV channels including HBO & sports. Unfortunately, not many news channels or a weather channel. * Fast elevator. Yes, it matters if you travel as much as me. Cons: * Same as with any hotel since Covid, price... $175. I'll try not to comment on the clientele because that isn't under the complete control of the hotel, but let's just say it was rowdy and loud. Due to availability we needed to stay in 2 rooms. One room was on the first floor. The entire ground floor smells like they must had had a flood and it is now mildewy and moldy. The conference room even had floor fans going so I'd say that's a good guess. The workout room is itty bitty which is fine, but the treadmill wouldn't turn on and maybe I'm glad because the mildew smell and humidity in there was probably not good for breathing. The next room was better smelling albeit still slightly damp and smelly. But we had fewer towels than people and they couldn't provide any more towels to us because they didn't have any. They did offer to wash the two towels that we had and we'd get them back in over an hour. Seriously? That's just unacceptable and poor management of a hotel.

We were there with our dog and I love that the door to go outside has a giant window beside it so you can see if someone else with a dog is coming and can give them space to pass. Plenty of close grassy areas for your dog to go potty, as well as grassy areas a bit further away for more privacy. Also I love that the dog rooms were all on the first floor. The front desk staff were so friendly and professional. Our keycard wasn't working at first and before we even asked for another one, he already had 2 more for us! The breakfast was impressive- there was REAL bacon, mini cheese omelets, tater tots, delicious fresh waffles, and a variety of juices and other baked goods. Also, oatmeal with toppings. There were also a variety of condiments and spreads to choose from. In our room, we were surprised to have a Keurig with good-quality K-cups, Green Mountain brand. Our room was so quiet and we could not hear any talking from other rooms, except doors closing but it wasn't as loud as it usually is when we've stayed at other hotels. There is a Wal-Mart that is walking distance from the hotel which was very convenient. We would definitely stay at this specific hotel again next time we are passing through!

I cancelled but haven't received my refund. I'm not getting anywhere to receive it as hotels.com won't back the cancellation policy, hotel marceline won't answer their phone for them either and hotel marceline keeps stating a refund was sent that day but my bank looked into it and nothing has been attempted to be refunded. Don't book here if there is even a slight chance of having to cancel as you will be out the money. It doesn't matter if it says you can cancel they won't honor it.

I told the manager the situation and that I understood their policy of 24 hr cancellation but could they do a one time courtesy and honor my checkout since I was leaving before 11am. This was a sold out location so there wouldn't have been a problem filling the room. No compassion from this hotel and I will never stay here in the future again. I would recommend to stay away!
