Stayed 1 night while relocating cross country. Pros: * Beautifully clean rooms. * Incredibly comfy bed with tons of pillows. * Lovely front desk staff. * I wasn't prepared (& frankly too tired after a very long day of driving in the rain), but they have an indoor pool & fitness center. Nice to see that some guests used them. * In-shower shampoo/conditioner & body lotion on wall next to sink. * M/W, fridge (although mine wasn't very cool & might need service), small coffee pot with a couple of coffees. * Breakfast from 6:30-9:30am on the weekend. It was very good... sausage links, egg patty, biscuits & gravy. Some cereal, waffle iron & a few carbs... bread, bagels. No fruit. Unsure if they had coffee... I didn't see drinks, but I carry my own espresso maker, so I don't usually imbibe. * Lots of TV channels including HBO & sports. Unfortunately, not many news channels or a weather channel. * Fast elevator. Yes, it matters if you travel as much as me. Cons: * Same as with any hotel since Covid, price... $175. That's a lot. * Not really a con but there's not much here... a KFC & Casey's. * Wifi's a bit tricky to connect to. Solid 4.5-5* out of 5. You won't regret it if you stay. read more

Not well managed First I recognize there are few options in the area but this hotel is being run into the ground. I'll try not to comment on the clientele because that isn't under the complete control of the hotel, but let's just say it was rowdy and loud. Due to availability we needed to stay in 2 rooms. One room was on the first floor. The entire ground floor smells like they must had had a flood and it is now mildewy and moldy. The conference room even had floor fans going so I'd say that's a good guess. The workout room is itty bitty which is fine, but the treadmill wouldn't turn on and maybe I'm glad because the mildew smell and humidity in there was probably not good for breathing. The next room was better smelling albeit still slightly damp and smelly. But we had fewer towels than people and they couldn't provide any more towels to us because they didn't have any. They did offer to wash the two towels that we had and we'd get them back in over an hour. Seriously? That's just unacceptable and poor management of a hotel. read more

Pretty nice room, pleasant desk staff. Breakfast available 6-0930. Too many carb items, but do have some fruit, scrambled eggs, a meat, & potatoes. Boiled eggs, yogurt & whole milk. Coffee & Tea 24 Room could have had some Lysol, fetched mine from the truck. Problem solved. Household staff pleasant & consistent. China Garden Buffet & a small Mexican Restaurant as well within walking distance, ALDIs nearby in small strip mall. Truck stop in front of hotel. Great place to stop for rest & convenient to Walmart DC, Walmart store, Walgreens also. Very accommodating. The hotel is decent. Breakfast has a good variety of things! But the hotel sits behind a truck stop and if you get a north facing room your screwed!! The curtains don't shut completely so you get all the lights from both hotel and truck stop shining right in!! Didn't need to turn any lights on at night already had em from outside.... I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and amenities of this comfort inn. Very clean and well updated, I think it's fairly new, it was a very comfortable stay in Moberly, MO. Huge parking lot if pulling a trailer and right next to a truck stop if you're in a sleepless truck. It also had a great selection of channels (3 HBOs!) and plenty of sports. After checking in we get our room notice it's a room we shouldn't be checked into cause it wasn't cleaned. So we got another room, and what do you know. It's a handicapped room for some reason, when this hotel is empty? So it looked fine until I used the bathroom and the light would not turn on all the way! So we left it on for about a house and it finally warmed up and lit up. But then I accidentally turned it off ya know. And that's when it was done for. Wouldn't turn on again. So the next day we left for work and came back and the maids had gone in our room and "cleaned " LOL. And didn't even care that the light didn't work! Like this is a handicapped room, how nice it is to make them come to the second floor to not have their light working to have to go all the way back downstairs. Vastly improved from when this property was the worst Holiday Inn Express we had ever experienced. This place is now CLEAN. Staff is attentive. Breakfast buffet had lots of good quality choices continually restocked by staff. Room furnishings are nice with even a little upscale feel. Comfy bed with pillows of different densities. There were some minor maintenance flaws in our room (e.g. a little wall paint on door trim, a little door trim paint on wall, sagging shower curtain rod) but these are trivial compared to the train wreck this property used to be. Spent two week staying here while we helped open a new store in town. Every single employee was awesome to us all down their, we even hanged out and got to know them as well. Not a whole lot todo in that town, with that being said it was nice to have such a huge room and great view. Super clean and even the other guests staying were super kind. Right off the highway as well so that was very convenient. Stayed at many Comfort Inns but never one like the one in Moberly. read more

Hard one to review as it jumped from between a one and a four throughout the stay so in the end settled on a three and will just say YMMV coupled with it's really the only game in town as its local competitors are even worse so what you going to do outside a thirty minute drive from Columbia which I wasn't interested in doing. Let me start off with the good. Parking is ample though gets tight in the front lot as the night gets later and after about nine pm you will be parking in the side lot. The rooms are clean and I mean really clean especially the bathrooms. Really about the only grubby area was the wall HVAC and that's normal TBH as I don't think I have EVER stayed at a place anywhere in the world where they actually cleaned and maintained their room HVACs which is sad as it runs them to the ground and is probably kicking up all sorts of mold, etc. Also the cleaning staff is surprisingly friendly as well which is weird as not something you usually rate a hotel on hence why it was noticeable. The beds are comfortable enough though a bit on the soft and springy side for my taste yet the pillows were perfect. Room didn't have an adjoining door which automatically bumps any hotel up a star and, outside the later bad paragraph, rooms were reasonably quiet. Showers were nice and hot but had middling water pressure. Room Internet was free and fast. Lastly the room had extremely minimal room light pollution, only four sources I had to either unplug or tape over with electrical tape so kudos on that as well. On the meh side the room floors felt grimy and seem to be detaching from the floor as would often step on, for lack of a better word, large carpet bubbles and floor would often feel uneven as a result especially near the bathrooms which suggested previous flooding damage or poor install. Breakfast was OK by "free" standards but barely so. The bathroom lacked a low light motion sensor which meant stumbling around in the dark to find a bathroom in the middle of the night which is always annoying. The wall HVAC has that obnoxious cheap version issue where the sensor kicks on (and back off) at the exact temperature which meant all night long it kept turning on/off every ten minutes rather than, as normal HVAC's do, cool a couple degrees lower (and continue to run the fan a bit after it turn off) to avoid that. Finally I'm always annoyed with curtains don't fully seal to keep the light out and these didn't but got around it via clipping them closed with the time honored method of using the hotel closet pants hangers. On the bad side was entire side of the hotel facing the main road through town (so facing north) and the parking lot entrance/signage. Let me do that latter one as it's the easiest. The sign to both parking lot entrances from the two roads is small and non-intuitive, I literally drove by it a couple times without noticing it and once missed it on the turn at night as the angle is weird even with GPS. When pulling up to it you think you should cut through the Arbies / gas station as it looks like one big connected lot but nope, it's down the side road farther than it should be. Also the signs are about two feet wide and low light so easy to miss for those unfamiliar with the area; they really should fix this including a lighted sign on the main drag which says "hotel entrance this way" up by the stop sign on both entrances. On the noise front a HUGE problem this hotel has is the long haul trucking rigs all park directly in front of the hotel (many of the drivers are probably sleeping at the hotel as well) about hundred feet from the north wall leaving their rigs running all night long (as well as coming and going) which means in every north facing room (i.e. half the hotel) you have this LOUD diesel grumbling / idle which is intrusive enough you can actual feel it and not even the TV plus running air condition can overcome. This is a huge problem unless you are deaf and it's something the hotel should have resolved during their recent renovations as it's all coming in via the large window and HVAC enclosure and sound minimal sound dampening on that half of the hotel isn't going to break the bank especially at the rates they are charging. If you are staying here AVOID THE NORTH HALF OF THE HOTEL AT ALL COST unless you wear a cochlear implant and can turn it off, it's that bad!!!!. Speaking of rates you are def getting overcharged here and significantly so but it goes back to the availability issue. Rates here are in line with what I can pay at a better starred hotel on the beach in Hawaii. I understand it's a sellers' market at that location but I feel they are stretching it to the point of price gouging almost and that always leaves a bad taste in one's mouth for future repeat business. On the annoyance side and it's something I haven't experienced in a long time, is the hotel charges you an extra 20% "deposit" which they refund later in case of "damages". read more

One of the worst hotels I stayed at over priced. Room was not the cleanest. Coffee cups were dirty got given 3 different prices. Will never ever go back there again I give it one star however it don't even deserve that much honestly. Totally overpriced. Paid 100.10 for the night and that was with a military discount. Was required to give a credit card even though I paid cash. Clerk assured me it was just a formality and nothing would appear on card. However, money was tied up due to her authorizing the amount I just paid cash for. Stop anywhere but here.
