Large, whisper quiet room with a comfortable bed = good night's sleep!
    Kenge G.

I'm surprised by the negative reviews. When I was stranded in the airport thanks to Air Canada, Comfort Inn and Suites saved the day! I called the shuttle from the airport, it's free and reliable. The staff is cordial. Yes, the hotel is dated. I don't think the furniture or carpet have been updated since the 1970's. But the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortably appointed with a desk, cable TV, free WiFi, a mini-fridge and microwave. There's good water pressure in the shower and a serene bed with lots of pillows. Most importantly, the rooms are whisper quiet. I didn't hear any doors slamming, conversations or street noise which is rare. I slept well. They gave me a late checkout which was very much appreciated. Breakfast is hot and restocked regularly and the seating area is large and tidy. I'm a fan of pour your own waffles! There are typical staples of cold and hot cereal, pork sausage, powdered eggs, juice and yogurt. The only thing missing is fresh fruit. I used the business center to check email and print my boarding pass. There's also a hotel restaurant and fitness center I didn't get to try. There aren't any dining options within walking distance but food delivery is available. Luxury it is not. But if you want a clean, comfortable, moderately-priced, quiet room with a free shuttle & breakfast, Comfort Inn is an easy choice!

The rug was bunched up in several places

The location was convenient, as was the shuttle from the airport, but that's where the positive aspects end. The hotel is very dated and run down. The rooms are not soundproofed and there is significant noise from the nearby road. I was shocked by the quality of the room. It seemed poorly repaired as you can see in the pictures.

HEALTH HAZARD. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HELLHOLE. mold on ceiling, body fluids on bedding, floor appears to have NEVER been vacuumed. Absolute filth everywhere. Owner should be ashamed of themselves. Worst place I've ever stayed. Sheets were not even changed in initial room. Front desk clerk did not even bat an eye or apologize.

Very clean and spacious room with large comfortable king bed. also has a separate lounge chair with reading lamp to relax in and a good size desk to place your computer on and get some work done. Large selection of cable TV channels with HBO as a premium channel. Room aside this hotel has a small restaurant on ground floor providing the convenience of eating in especially if you don't have a car. Lastly there is a 24 hour shuttle proving free Transportation to Detroit metro airport. Overall really a nIce hotel at a good price ($84 on Kayak) and one you should consider if your travels are taking you through Detroit metro airport

I have no complaints on this spot. It is near Detroit airport with free shuttle and stay n park packages. I have stayed here before flight or just if I need a place while in the area. Check in is always fast n friendly. There is a restaurant and bar. Food n drinks are reasonable and the food is above average. I recommend the jacuzzi room. Its worth the little bit extra. Its a real jacuzzi. Not one of those itty bitty jet tubs that's part of the shower. Its completely separate and could fit 3 folks easily. They lose a star because the free breakfast is not worth getting up for. Tastes like heated up microwave food with the usual suspects: eggs sausage bagels waffles etc. The only time I eat it is when I have an early flight in the morning. Just be ready to check out at noon. Housekeeping will be knocking 10 minutes before which I didn't appreciate.

    Dirty AC panel

Caroet is buckling, drapes and fabric that covered bed as a cover was spiked and had hair on it, mattress pad and sheets are super cheap micro fiber, coffee pot is in the bathroom and the switch panel for the AC unit was filthy. I could not sleep here nor did I change to try and sleep. Counted the hours until my flight.

This hotel is clean and updated. The staff is friendly. They have a bus for airport pickup and drop off. We dropped off a rental car and took the rental car shuttle to the main airport. We called the hotel and they picked us up in 20 minutes. The shuttle is shared with the Baymont hotel down the street. The breakfast is great...waffle maker, fresh fruit (apples, pears, oranges), English muffins, bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage links, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, instant oatmeal. The staff kept the buffet stocked. It is served 6 am-9 am. Our room had a one hole putting green in it. We had to large desks, fridge, and a microwave. There was a wet bar area. It was a large room. The a/c has the feature that the fan can run constantly. There is a sound machine to drown out airplane noise if you need it. There is nightlight in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable with clean new sheets. There is HBO. They have WIFI, but I couldn't get it to work and did not ask for assistance. There is an ice machine on each floor. There is an attached restaurant. There is a business center with four PCs and printers. We were able to print our boarding passes very easily. The hotel was quiet inside. There is plenty of parking. I highly recommend this hotel.

Two spots down from where I parked my car -- to say I have concerns about long term parking at this location would be an understatement.

I booked this hotel through Park Sleep Fly as I had a red eye for a lengthy business trip. Parked on site at the hotel. Check in was okay. Hotel looks like it was recently renovated. Got to the room and the first thing I noticed was a musty smell. Might have been because the room hadn't been occupied all day and air needed to circulate; it could also have been the giant hot tub almost directly next to the bed which was weird. Aside from jacuzzi weirdness room was okay. Bed was comfortable, climate control cooled the room to an acceptable temperature, and the ride to the airport in the morning was mostly uneventful (note: the hotel shares a shuttle so be sure to give yourself extra time). Issues occurred on return, first I couldn't remember what the shuttle back to the hotel looked like and no person at the terminal could tell me so I wound up waiting for a while. I finally called the hotel and was placed on hold for almost 10 minutes. I wound up taking a Lyft back to the hotel. My car was where I had left it however the car two spots down from me was up on blocks with all its tires removed. This doesn't exactly inspire confidence in security at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel as an overnight, it's inexpensive and the rooms are okay. I 100% WOULD NOT park my car here again.

Their staff did an admirable job in dealing with a sudden emergency. We were sitting around a big table in their Dearborn Conference Room on Friday when around 6:30pm the area was hit with a power outage. Somewhere between 80,000 and 100,000 customers lost power, including the hotel. Whatever happened also affected the hotel generator, because that was knocked out too. No heat, no hot water, no electricity, no internet. The hotel staff did what they could and set up emergency contractor lights in the lobby area and dining area. I'm not sure how, but they were able to serve the traditional Embassy Suites hot breakfast the next morning. My visit got off to a great start, with a big suite room and an excellent check-in experience. Some of our party arrived early and we enjoyed their complimentary Happy Hour drinks and snacks. Their staff was wonderful -especially the food service workers who set up that hot breakfast in dim lighting. One of the guys made me laugh when he said eating breakfast in the cold and dark reminded him of being back in the service!

She informed me of hotel amenities and their hours of operation then directed me to my room. Room was fine, albeit a tad worn. I had a burger in the bar which was very good. Bartender was friendly and efficient. There was a loud, obnoxious woman at the bar who I was able to avoid until I spoke with a man at the bar. Evidently, she was a regular customer. She directed a comment toward me that was factually incorrect and when I attempted to explain to her why, she exploded and started screaming at me. I stepped away, gathered my stuff and waited for my check at the end of the bar farthest from her. She continued screaming at me from across the bar, raving loudly that she would pray for me--which I found particularly bizarre and rather scary. I asked her repeatedly to stop shouting at me. While waiting I had a polite conversation with a man at the end of the bar that I had purposefully placed between she and me. The bartender returned and she finally got her to stop screaming. I paid and left. In the morning at checkout I told the front desk person about my very negative and frightening experience. She apologized and said that they expect people not to "talk politics". I pointed out to her that Fox News was playing on every TV in the lobby and bar and she apologized again. I took the shuttle to the airport. Driver was nice and professional and even tried to help me obtain a cart. Despite other positive aspects of the hotel, I will not be returning to a place that allows crazy people to drink to oblivion then verbally attack other guests.
