You know what you're getting into when you're staying at the SpringHill Suites: A comfortable hotel that has mostly clean and functional rooms, complimentary breakfast, an efficient workout room, plenty of parking, and pleasant employees. Also it's near the airport and easy to navigate. We had the pleasure of staying here during Halloween weekend since we were in town for the Lions/Dolphins game. We had a room with double queen beds along with a couch and desk for workspace. The bathroom is split into two separate rooms with one for the toilet and another for the shower. NEver seen that before but I could get used to it. The hotel isn't too far from downtown Detroit; it's about a 20 minute drive. It was a pleasant stay here and wouldn't mind staying here again.

We stayed at the Spring Hill suites in Detroit while we were visiting. The hotel itself was pretty good for the most part I did enjoy the room the air-conditioning worked really well I like the extra couch on the other side it was very spacious unfortunately the pool was closed because of Covid and the shower was a nice shower with hot water and spacious room. It was conveniently located to numerous things and we really had a good time stay in here

I checked into my room & once again my beds we dirty. This time it was makeup & hair on the sheets. I had a double bed; the other bed looked as if there was a spec blood on it along with hair. After waiting approximately 40 minutes to get situated into another room, I asked the nice understanding reception (Zac) if they have anything for inconveniences. He said that he would ask his general manager. Zac came back to my room to bring my room keys along with a message from his GM. The GM stated since I am an airline employee that they do not comp anything or give anything to airline employees because we do not pay for the rooms ourselves, our company pays for them. That is a true statement, but because my room was not cleaned I (myself) was inconvenienced. I am missing approximately 45 minutes of my time because my room was not cleaned. How many customers stay in hotel rooms paid for by their companies? I guess we don't deserve the same treatment as regular paying customers. This happened to me last month as well. I didn't ask for anything then. Zac helped me that time too, he even took pictures of the dirty sheets from both beds. I think this is very inconsiderate of the GM to say he would not comp anything. I would of been extremely happy just to receive a clean room. So perhaps next time, they can have a clean room for me because I'm here so often. I must admit when I stay across the way at the Holiday Inn, I never have an issue with dirty rooms. I don't understand why this is an issue when I know both hotels are ran by the same GM.

My family stayed here for my brother's graduation. The rooms are very spacious. My family got two rooms with two queen sized beds for $90 each. The rooms include a couch area and desk. The bathroom is also split up into two rooms--one with the shower and one with the toilet. Wifi is included and parking is plentiful. There's also a fitness center and spa. Complimentary breakfast is served every morning with your standard fare of bagels, cereal, yogurt, and the best part Belgian waffles. My main gripe with this place is that the walls are somewhat thin. I could hear the person above us walking around and our neighbors in the room next to us.

Their staff did an admirable job in dealing with a sudden emergency. We were sitting around a big table in their Dearborn Conference Room on Friday when around 6:30pm the area was hit with a power outage. Somewhere between 80,000 and 100,000 customers lost power, including the hotel. Whatever happened also affected the hotel generator, because that was knocked out too. No heat, no hot water, no electricity, no internet. The hotel staff did what they could and set up emergency contractor lights in the lobby area and dining area. I'm not sure how, but they were able to serve the traditional Embassy Suites hot breakfast the next morning. My visit got off to a great start, with a big suite room and an excellent check-in experience. Some of our party arrived early and we enjoyed their complimentary Happy Hour drinks and snacks. Their staff was wonderful -especially the food service workers who set up that hot breakfast in dim lighting. One of the guys made me laugh when he said eating breakfast in the cold and dark reminded him of being back in the service!

She informed me of hotel amenities and their hours of operation then directed me to my room. Room was fine, albeit a tad worn. I had a burger in the bar which was very good. Bartender was friendly and efficient. There was a loud, obnoxious woman at the bar who I was able to avoid until I spoke with a man at the bar. Evidently, she was a regular customer. She directed a comment toward me that was factually incorrect and when I attempted to explain to her why, she exploded and started screaming at me. I stepped away, gathered my stuff and waited for my check at the end of the bar farthest from her. She continued screaming at me from across the bar, raving loudly that she would pray for me--which I found particularly bizarre and rather scary. I asked her repeatedly to stop shouting at me. While waiting I had a polite conversation with a man at the end of the bar that I had purposefully placed between she and me. The bartender returned and she finally got her to stop screaming. I paid and left. In the morning at checkout I told the front desk person about my very negative and frightening experience. She apologized and said that they expect people not to "talk politics". I pointed out to her that Fox News was playing on every TV in the lobby and bar and she apologized again. I took the shuttle to the airport. Driver was nice and professional and even tried to help me obtain a cart. Despite other positive aspects of the hotel, I will not be returning to a place that allows crazy people to drink to oblivion then verbally attack other guests.

It is $30 a night to park but if you're a guest they park it for you and you don't have to worry about it. The rooms are big. Nothing special. The usual amenities for a nice hotel. We had dinner and drinks at Reflections. The bar area could be bigger, but we were able to sit at a table in the bar area. They had quite a few selections. I chose the cauliflower and carrots. And we shared wings. The cauliflower was AMAZING . When you fly out, you can either go out an exit that takes you to the main airport if you have bags to check. If you don't though, you go through a special TSA and it's super quick and convenient. If you like convenience like I do (I'm lazy) you need to stay here the next time you fly out!!

Seating area is nice for relaxing. Convenient when flying out of the Delta terminal. Has its own security checkpoint. You can also check in via kiosk and there is a business center in the lobby. Can be pricey depending on day, but there are discounts for AAA, Seniors and Government employees. Well worth it!
