In short: Comfort Restorations is an honest and skilled group of experts who will bring compassion to your project while providing excellent workmanship and guidance. The details: I originally contacted Comfort Restorations as a random third option to obtain a quote for a series of projects we wanted to complete in our home. We had worked with another home renovation company on several occasions and I assumed we would likely stick with who we knew, however, I wanted to do my due diligence as a new homeowner and get the opinions and quotes from several other companies given the likely investment we would be making in a variety of things that needed to be addressed. I didn't know anything about Comfort Restorations outside of what I had read online and had seen on their social media platforms; in hindsight, contacting them was the best decision we could have made. One of the main projects we wanted evaluated were some floorboards in our primary bathroom; they had been sagging since we bought the house and had continued to worsen over the last two years. I was concerned that this may be a sign of mold or significant damage. The other two companies said the project would be easy; they'd replace the floorboards and the supports - both said it was unlikely due to mold damage but wear and tear and slight water exposure. When Karl, the owner and estimator, evaluated the floor he was the only one to accurately indicate we were likely dealing with water damage with a significant possibility of mold and, correctly, recommended that we not initiate any other projects until the floors had been evaluated given the nature of remediation and the unknowns that may be beneath the floor rendering a much bigger project. Karl's honesty, expertise, and direct recommendations to focus on the sagging floor impressed me - the other companies were happy to take our money and do all the other projects at once without any consideration that there may be something bigger and more sinister waiting under the sagging floor. We decided to move forward with Comfort Restorations given this advice and the fact they were the only company concerned about mold. Karl was absolutely right in his initial assessment and in his advice during our consultation. Another complication to this project is that I was already 9 months pregnant when the problem was diagnosed and we started to move forward. The reason I bring this up is because the entire Comfort Restorations team, and their subcontractors, were so kind and considerate given we just welcomed newborn into our home. Mold remediation and construction started about a week after our daughter was born. The entire team really went out of their way to be quiet coming in and out of the house, closing doors to minimize noise, and keeping debris/ naturally occurring construction mess to a minimum so that our newborn, and myself, could rest during these first few weeks of welcoming her home. I know this is a long review but I wanted to really indicate the character of professionals you're getting when choosing Comfort Restorations. The work they completed was fantastic. Our project manager, Brandon, was available to answer any questions or address any concerns that arose during the project and we appreciated his swift communication and compassion. Great craftsmanship and excellent work! They communicated well with us about each step, were ready to go, but didn't rush us on design decisions. Each person was very patient with our questions and kind. They had a dedicated team for each major phase of the project and everyone did great work! Comfort restorations is an amazing company. My experience started with them after a family member had passed away, and I needed to replace the flooring in the room they had been living in. Initially, I had purchased flooring with intentions of doing it myself, until I realized I had no help moving the heavy wood furniture. Having seen the commercials on TV for Comfort Restorations, I gave them a call along with a few other local companies. Firstly, I was impressed by Karl's understanding of the job at hand, and his kindness while evaluating what would be needed to complete the job. He went through everything with me in a clear and concise manner, including the biohazard removal. When I received my estimate a few days later, the prices were clearly laid out, and everything about the job was laid out in detail. After receiving my estimates from the other companies as well, I decided to go with Comfort Restorations because they were competitively priced, and while a little more than one of the companies, I wanted to support a local business that gives back to the community it serves. They were able to get me scheduled in in a reasonable time frame (which allowed me time to pick up additional materials, as I was short on some flooring). The first day there were 4 guys that were sent out to help box things up and move the furniture out. Jakoby arrived first, and got to work removing the affected area of the carpeting in short order. Devin and the others all showed up next. They were quick and efficient at packing and moving things, while being conscientious about not scratching anything. At the end of the first day, I realized my service dog's ashes had been in that room, and began frantically looking in my garage for them. I was almost brought to tears when I walked out into the garage, and saw that they had not only placed my dog's ashes to one side, but they had made sure they were easily located, and would not be knocked over or lost/damaged. They treated them as if it was their own pet. Devin and the other guy worked hard each day putting in the new hardwood flooring. They even went the extra mile while they had the toilet unseated and were putting in the new flooring, by taking the time to put in the new flapper that I had bought to put in the toilet. I have lived in a lot of places, and dealt with numerous companies over those years....and not once have I had that level of service. Once the flooring was done, the guys cleaned up the work area very thoroughly. Devin and Jakoby then came back on a Monday (at my request, so I would have off from work) and they got the furniture moved back in. All of the guys that were here working, were trustworthy and the kind of people that I would not hesitate to trust being around my family. Also, everyone of the guys that worked on my project spoke English. Which I find important, because as a homeowner, if you have a question or a concern, it's nice to be able to communicate directly with the crew. Everyone also made sure my door was closed so my new dog would not get out. So I ask you what's in a name? Some businesses have a catchy name with no meaning. But others have a name with meaning, and it is lived up to. Comfort Restorations gave me comfort. Comfort that the job was in good hands and would be done right...Comfort that it was ok to move on and begin putting the pieces back together. I will be using Comfort Restorations this fall to replace the soffit (i think that's the name) that's starting to age and rot. In fact anytime I have home remodeling, or improvement projects, I will be using Comfort Restorations because they have earned that much trust from me. read more

We recently had Comfort Restorations complete a master bathroom renovation. We had some water damage from an upstairs unit and the bathroom was demolished down to the bones. We had a lot of waiting due to insurance dragging their feet, but when we called Comfort Restorations the process sped up significantly. I can't tell you how happy we are.
