It is clear, from the moment you check in, to the moment you check out, your stay will be great. Every single person on staff is friendly, helpful and pleasant. The breakfast is very nice, the hotel is always clean, and the location is convenient to grocery, gas and pharmacy. It is locally owned and guests are treated like friends and family by EVERYONE. This was my 3rd extended stay (3 months) with Comfort Inn Blackshear and I will definitely be back. Thanks Peggy, Peter, Rose, Kim, Beth and all the staff, so much for such a comfortable stay!!! My review for Hampton Inn…read more I recently stayed at Hampton Inn for a weekend. I usually DO NOT write reviews. The hotel needs to offer a disclaimer before booking that they are renovating. I've been to location that are remodeling but there are not piles of dirty mattresses old furniture, lamps, pictures, etc. in the parking lot. The parking lot is extremely small so guests have to find parking. There is limited parking. The rooms are horrid. They have ripped up the carpet and applied cheap looking laminate flooring. The flooring is a light grey so you see every spot remaining in the floor. I spent 10 minutes wiping spots on the floor before I realized it was not coming up. The blinds were not on the window. No curtains were in the room. They taped a black paper shade to the window. As a guest you will sacrifice sleep because the hotel sits next to a train track (a very busy train track). The ultimate disrespect was the fact that the elevator DOES NOT WORK. I repeat the elevator does not work!!! After which I could not forgo writing a review. One of the employees said this is a repeat issue with the elevator. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. At $150 a night you got to be kidding me. If I could've rated it a ZERO I WOULD HAVE. The price was definitely not to be beat, but I have definitely experienced better. Here are some cons to my almost 2 week stay here: 1. Cleaning the room was not a daily occurrence. A few days, my room was skipped, which is not a huge deal to me, but I never left my "Do Not Disturb" sign out, so I shouldn't have been missed. 2. Deep cleaning of the rooms seems to be lacking. You can tell, when you look at the cracks, look at the dirt that has been building up, the paint that is peeling, the floors that aren't regularly vaccuumed very well, that the cleaning is a quick surfacial job and they let the cracks fall through. Case in point, even just go into the lobby and food serving area, same story. Deep cleaning is lacking here, over. It didn't bother me too much, I have had worse, but you hope that each hotel at least does some deep cleaning once and a while. This place is way overdue. 3. There is no alarm clock in the room. I know that isn't a requirement, but its certainly a welcoming necessity. I'd rather have a nice alarm clock than a flat screened tv, because I hardly watch the TV. 4. The bed is really hard. And if you are okay with that, this is your place! I started getting neck cramps throughout my work week, so I was definitely not a fan. 5. The staff could be more courteous. When I checked in, I talked to the manager, filled out paperwork to be tax exempt because work is paying for the hotel. When I checked out, the lady didn't seem to understand, refused to take the taxes off, and told me I needed to talk to the manager in two days. Hello, I am leaving right now, why am I going to chase down the manager in two days? Why can't you call up the manager now? Customer service was horrible, unless you are dealing with the manager, Linda who seems to be pretty nice. Overall, I was disappointed, and the lady at the desk couldn't care less. To balance it out, here are som Pros: 1. Comfy pillows. That is a big deal to me. 2. Free continental breakfast, though I had to leave too early to work I didn't get to try it out. They just have cereal, a waffle maker, and powdered eggs if you are really hungry and want to eat there. 3. Price. The price is really low, and thats great, it saved my work a lot of money staying here, which is good for everyone. Now, I am not too picky, and I can definitely overlook a great deal many things, and if you need to stay here, I recommend a short stay. Long term, I'd try harder to book somewhere else.

When we got there to check in, there was only 2 towels and 2 wash rags in the room. I politely asked for more and explained there was 4 people in there with 3 of them being girls with long hair. I was told only 3 people could be in the room. Well why did it accept the 4 people I put in for the reservation? I had to request towels every single night for the whole stay. Keep in mind my family is on vacation seeing friends in this town. In the last night, I'm again asking for towels so we can all shower after being at the beach all day. The "owner/manger" said we had too many people in the room because my friend had dropped us off after being gone all day. The friends never stayed the night. Never took a shower. Never stayed more than an hour the whole time. He proceeds to tell us we are having parties during the day. Not accurate at all. We left the property every day before 9am and didn't return until 9pm or later. Plus we had a 6 year old and a 16 year old with us so how can someone party all day? I didn't take pictures but the curtains had holes in them along with mildew in the shower. Had it not been for my friends being close by, I would have left after the first night.

He was told because firefighters were in town. If you can help not supporting this hotel due to their price gouging, for men & woman that are here to help us contain the wildfires putting their life on the line to protect the community and they're price gouging!!!
