The beaches shuttle system is scheduled to run May 3 through Sept. 6 on Friday nights 7pm to 2am, Saturdays noon to 2am and Sundays are noon to 6pm. The trolleys will operate longer hours on Sunday, July Fourth, running from noon to 2 a.m., and Monday, Sept. 6, for Labor Day, running from noon to 6 p.m. The trolleys will continue to go back and forth from South Beach Regional Shopping Center in South Jacksonville Beach to Atlantic Village Shopping Center in Atlantic Beach. But only on 3rd Street. They will avoid First Street, which is narrow and peppered with pedestrians, which slows the operation. The return time at any given trolley stop is about 20 minutes and I don't think that's too bad of wait or price given the dangerousness of drinking and driving and what that could cost you! When I tried to load the app it wouldn't let me because that credit card wasn't active. I have other cards but there was no way to add it. Since I knew my password, email etc it doesn't make since to lock a person out forever over a credit card number. Guess I'm forced to try Lyft, something I never would have done. I don't switch anything unless extremely unsatisfied. I'm giving a medium score because the drivers are usually good but cars often smell like they're trying to hide smoke.

My train sat at the Jesup station for 15 mins I don't know why and I figured shoot I'll just catch a Uber/Lyft from here and get to the hotel by the time we pull into Savannah. I was hangry and tired so I hoped off...no Uber/Lyft available in the area lmao! Called the first cab on Yelp for the Jesup area, as I plugged my cell phone inside the waiting area, and walked one little loop around the station I noticed a vehicle pulling up no one was around and low and behold it was my cab driver. Very fast! We made it to my hotel in a timely manner and the only ding is they are more expensive then a Uber/Lyft would've been from Savannah but hey at least they were available in the small town of Jesup when I needed them.

It now runs from 4:30am till 7pm AND the route now extends all the way to FSCJ Kent Campus. That's awesome! No more racing to leave for an early (earlier than I normally eat) lunch. I took the trolley yesterday. The longest I had to wait between trolleys was 10 minutes. It is more expensive with the longer route and longer hours. $1 per each ride and they are cash only and don't take change. So, if you have any stops in between, make sure you have enough singles for each time you get back on.
