I could spend an entire day browsing in this store. What a hidden gem. Don't judge the book by its cover and stop in. I would like to compare my experience here similar to The Vault at Midnight in downtown Ann Arbor... With way less college kids . There are so many items to chose from like collectible items, mugs, posters, books, magnets, stickers, candy, comic books (duh), board games etc that it has to be impossible to walk out without a few things in hand. But what I appreciate the most was the customer service experience I received and saw others receive while I shopped. The staff makes you feel super comfortable even if you don't even like comic books... Lol but you can tell they wear a badge of pride because they KNOW THEIR STUFF! In fact I learned something new about a storyline that I don't believe my husband knows about ... And I hope he'll be surprised for Christmas. And if that's not a selling point... I found my father in laws gift here before anyone else. THAT IS UNHEARD OF. The store is super organized, clean and up to date. And the prices are very fair. Shame on them for selling damaged goods AND NOT TELLING THE CONSUMER ABOUT IT. They DO NOT care what they have as long as they sell it damaged or not. Full discourse is a term they have never heard of. If you were to purchase something from this store or it's others, be extremely thorough especially with statues. They have no clue how to box them up or if they are damaged. read more

Comic city is the real deal. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great selection of nerd toys and shirts.. Large spread of trades and graphic novels . I have been going to comic city (different location but same strip mall) since the days of the donut scene - for the non Cantonese reader that means the early 90's. Great family run place. Rachel W., I want you to know that the rub you felt with "the female staff" isn't personal or in your head. I think we have a particular woman in mind, the "owner" or manager? My wife and I stopped by that store four or five times looking for figures for a relative. So long as you stop by for a comic or such no problem but if you interact with the 40-ish woman there is attitude and rub. We always notice an odor of hard liquor on her, so we figured that was our clue as to the nature of the problem. So long as you just go-in-and-grab, all is smooth and good. Cruise elsewhere if you need to interact, to chew the fat, for your purchase. ...Of course, I assume you dont seek out drinkers who do phone booth personality quick change with a belt or two of liquid trim. Went in here for the first time recently. I'm fairly new to comics, so I was concerned about dealing with the stereotypical rude employees that are supposed to inhabit these places. This store breaks that stereotype in every way. The staff was nice and welcomed me when I entered, and asked me a couple times if I needed any help finding anything. I can't speak to their stock and selection as I am pretty new to all of this, but great experience so far. read more

I love this place, I went here after summer school to kill a little time before lunch and got to talking with one of the staff (justin, who I now know was later promoted to manager) he is the exemplary employee, answered all my questions and even helped me to get started in heroclix, a game that I had been curious about and now I play every Thursday when they hold regular matches. I continually go back just to chat with these guys because they're so awesome. read more

I wish I lived closer to this place because they are great. Staff is friendly, the old guy working there knows his comics. They usually have the back issues I'm looking for and they have great prices on toys and shirts. The best part is they open at 10am.
