Place was locked up…read more Neighboring store owner came out and said she is here and her truck was in front of the store. Called the store phones no answer. Went back to our car disappointed that they were closed and the owner was sitting in her car on her phone. No attempt to talk to us or, mention hey we are closed. We will not return I would avoid this store because obviously customer satisfaction is not a top priority. If she had said "oh I'm so sorry we are closed" I would not be leaving a review but in light of our experience and the unprofessionalism of the business owner I will not return and highly recommend to stay away.

Anime Ages is a family owned shop in the Victorville mall. Their selection of products is pretty…read morelarge, despite the small size of the shop. They've really taken advantage of the space by including floor to ceiling options of products. You can find ceramic character displays, posters, plushies, and functional items like lanyards and keychains. I personally like to visit here for the Totoro products. I've bought a small ceramic Totoro at the bus stop figure and it lights up. The staff have been really accommodating each time I've visited- excited to help find products, and willing to hold them up front so you can continue shopping with ease. My only wish is that they would get a larger variety of Studio Ghibli products- for instance, they don't have any Howl's Moving Castle products. But, any of the really popular animes are easier to find products for here.

The folks here are friendly and you can tell they are knowledgeable and love the industry. I randomly stumbled across this place when I was grabbing lunch in the area on my break. I can't speak to much on the value because I was just going in to take a look at the time (and didn't purchase anything on that particular visit), but from the price tags, everything that I saw seemed very reasonable. This is the type of place that I would have spent a lot of my paper route or minimum wages I earned when I was a kid. This place is an absolute gem. To step inside this store is to go back in time. It's an actual…read morecomic book store in that it sells COMICS. Not tons of graphic novels--Amazon anyone?--not tons of Funko pop junk, but COMICS. And even though the store is tiny, the owner has packed it with the choice bits, the stuff that you want. Swamp Thing by Wrightson? He's got it. Byrne's Fantastic Four run? He's got it. Frank Miller? Yep, that too. And more than anything, he creates such a terrific atmosphere in his little store that you just want to stand there, lean again his counter, and talk comics. If there's a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon, I'm not sure what it is.

My son made a beeline for the Spider‑Man section like it was calling his name. My daughter, who has zero interest in comics, appreciated that they also sell books, tees, Funko Pops, and other merch so she didn't have to pretend to care about Peter Parker's problems. Checkout was smooth, and the cashier immediately pitched their membership program. Totally fine, it's a one‑time fee, not a monthly situation but we're just not ready to invest in that level of comic commitment yet. Prices were reasonable: about seven bucks for most issues and one $35 comic my son proudly bought with his own money. I let him live his best life. The plot twist came a week later when he sat down to read everything... and realized he accidentally bought three copies of the same comic because the covers were different. Variant covers: 1. Newbies: 0. A tiny heads‑up from the cashier would've saved us from the accidental collector's edition starter pack. All that said, the store is clean, cool, and has the exact comic‑shop vibe you expect. We'll definitely be back, just with a little more research and maybe a checklist so we don't accidentally buy the trilogy of the same issue again. Great spot overall, just not the most newbie‑friendly. But we'll return, now slightly wiser and definitely more cautious around pretty cover art.
