A Real Comic book shop. Great Selection of books, toys, and statues. You can spend hours digging through back issues, but they also have a huge selection of new/current issues. They offer a pull list using league of comic geeks app which is great for me. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They will even special order books for you if they are able. This is not another pop vinyl store cosplaying as a comic shop..which is refreshing. Prices are also great and the prices on the book or the bag is the price you pay. Love this place. read more

I usually tag along with my bf to this store and they have a huge selection of comics. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and have even gone out of their way to help me get gift ideas for my boyfriend. They even offer a membership program which offers a discounted price on your purchases. So I've lived in Moreno Valley and the Perris area for quite sometime and I have been doing myself a disservice, this shop has been around for quite sometime and I am barely finding out about this lil gem of a store. It's well stocked with tons of your favorite titles and has a huge back issue inventory, the guy that runs the store is a really chill guy, easy to talk to and very, very helpful. Just started my pull with them and have been happy this far. When people think of comic book stores, I bet they picture this place without ever having visited the store. A dimly-lit establishment loaded with boxes and boxes (and even more boxes) of comics all overseen by a very knowledgeable shop-keep. I came in here and the owner (I forget his name) struck up a conversation with me. He was able to give some great advice about some animation cells and comic book artwork that I wanted appraised. Another reason I like this place is because of the confidence they have in their business. I have been to other comic book stores that didn't even want to admit that there were other comic book stores in the area. The owners and employees here not only acknowledged other local comic book stores, but will recommend a few of them if you're looking for a certain something that Players does not have/carry. I find that their enthusiasm for the industry shows through when they put the customer and their comic book needs first and profit second. read more

Adam is a great owner. I have been to many comic book shops, where either the owner or workers are elitists, have no idea what is going on, or are just trolls. Adam and staff great you as soon as you walk in and will order anything you want. In a day and age where comic book shops are not as frequent as they were in the 1990s, it's nice to have a shop like Players where you know you will be taken care of. Moreno Valley or the Riverside store are great places to check out. Always a good selection of current stuff and back issues. If i had a complaint, it would be the lack of use of space. The riverside store can be a great place to hang out if there was more investment into making it a hip place. It has great parking in back and you can make it a comic book lounge. Throw some sweet lighting in there and a velvet couch and its "The Players Club" I give four stars because Adam is a great dude. Personality goes a long way. read more

Cute store with many options. The owner was extremely kind. My significant other and I came in, unknowingly, an hour before closing. We were enamored with the place and the owner let us stay inside for an hour after closing without complaining or even letting us know. Adam makes no trouble of pulling issues and bagging them for his customers, Adam takes care of you, on new comic day is a prime example (Wednesday) there is always a bunch of people talking and having a good time every time I go in there. If you are new to comics or are on a back log of issues he will set you straight and tell you the story arcs and the current affairs of the comic world. If he's out of a certain title he will phone in the store in riverside on the spot and hold it for you, if he is out of the title in both stores he will order it for you. Players offers a 20% discount membership for 10 bucks and it really helps if you buy in bulk. With all that being said Players is a definite positive to go check out! read more

After my local comic book shop did not receive a book I was waiting for I found this place by surprise. Going in, the place looks very much like a mom and pop type of comic book shop. Most new books are out in the open for people to check out, and they have a pretty good size for back issues. The guy working was real friendly and helpful. Didn't care too much for this place.....it's rather messy and disheveled. Comics all over the place and many "holes" on the wall where comics have not been refilled. I was here for about 20 mins on a Friday afternoon and the owner never got off the phone. He did pull out a box of Amazing Spider-Man for me (which had nothing I was looking for but that's not his fault). He was completely out of the new Marvel Star Wars release but that was to be expected. A lot of dated "stuff" just collecting dust. First time here and probably the last as I don't ever see a real need to go out of my way to come back. read more

i first began reading comic books a couple of years ago and the staff has been extremely helpful ever since even though i wasn't a regular at the time they answered all my questions without making me feel like i was bugging them, they even began to order in comics i requested when i saw they did not carry certain titles, the selection is great for more recent comic books but not so much older years. the store is clean and very organized a bonus to me.
