Comic books, vinyl records, vintage lunchboxes, sweet Breaking Bad artwork, and neon sign. There's just a million different things in this store that I love and want to own. So many things that I want, but a few of the things that stood out on my first trip was the Captain Morgan statue (that thing was seriously bigger than me...check the pictures), the Walk/Don't Walk signs, a snowglobe with the original owner's picture in it (perfect gift for White Elephant...just saying), and the huge amount of comic books that were only $2. A5S is in this antique shopping warehouse that's filled with a bunch of different stores, so it may be an all day trip if you're like me. The outside really doesn't look like much, but A5S is huge. You're not human if you don't leave this place with a bag filled with cool stuff at an unbeatable price.

They carry many hard to find or less well known toys that are big with the indie parent crowd and those of us that are pro-home schooling. The shop is arranged by age appropriate toys, so it is easy to shop. Fair trade, handmade, eco-toys, and educational toys galore - you won't need another toy store. The toys can get pricey, but don't you prefer quality toys to quantity? Even better is the fact that this amazing couple opened up an indoor playground, next door to their shop. The playground is a great alternative to bad weather days (which in this blazing, killer heat is pretty much year round), a great place to arrange a play date, or just a place to relax and enjoy the WiFi while the kids get acquainted and do their kid thing. The fee is $8/per day and you can leave and come back as you please. They also offer snacks for sale, an indoor picnic area, and comfortable lounge seating for parents. Bring a pair of socks for you and the kiddos, as they have a 'no shoes' policy. Summer camps, home schooling workshops, and even extreme couponing workshops can be found here. The proceeds help the Dorris Van Doreen Library. The Bookmark is staffed entirely with volunteers. They are most helpful, and know exactly where certain books are, and make great recommendations. When my in-laws passed away, we donated hundreds of art books and history books that they cherished. We knew that they would be appreciated by book-loving readers.
