I suffer from a debilitating disease which triggers chronic pain daily. I am raising three children and as many of you I cannot function with my day to day life without my pain medication. This clinic have no idea what they are doing. I was left without my medication and without a doctor. My first appointment he asked me what I want from him I said "I want what Ever I was getting at my old clinic to transfer here." he stated he didn't like the amount I was on as he thought it was to high. I very clearly told him "if you are not comfortable writing my medication let me know now as I need to find another doctor." I was crystal clear on this point and said it multiple times. If he didn't feel comfortable writing my script that is fine I could look for another doctor. I made my appointment Earlier than my fill day. I did a UA my first appointment as is standard. I came back for my second appointment they made me do another UA, I have never done 2 UA's for the same clinic within days of eachother but I did it just not sure why. This would be the same as the first one. Also he requested a mouth swab which is fine. But I had to leave early for a slight emergency so I came back a few hours later to do the mouth swab as I didn't want any reason for him to deny writing my medication. He said he would call me I waited and no call. I called them Thursday morning my fill day was Saturday they made my appointment that afternoon. I received a call from Jeff he said my mouth swab wasn't back and had to reschedule for Monday. My fill day was that Saturday and they are closed Fridays I asked him if my UA's where back he said yes but needed the mouth swab. In pain clinic language he didn't trust me he wanted to make sure my UA's matched my mouth swab. I did nothing for him not to trust me BUT be on what HE personally thought was a high level of narcotics. The lab was short handed which I understood but, he had no reason not to trust me. So he left me without medication On Mother's Day Weekend. Luckily my primary bridged me till my Monday appointment. I go in my appointment first thing Monday my mouth swab still wasn't back. I went in and had to do ANOTHER UA that's 3 UA's and a mouth swab, and he hadn't even wrote me a script yet. I had to watch 3 videos and sign a bunch of contracts which is fine. It is there "soft opening" and some things where messing up, which I still understood and didn't hold that against him. Honestly it seems like he got a bunch of ideas from a bunch of clinics and put them all together. There was so much. After all this he tells me he isn't comfortable writing my medication and wants to switch them. OMG I couldn't believe this was happening. We went back and forth and I told him "I told you If you where not comfortable writing my medication at the first appointment to tell me," so I was left without a doctor and without my medication. This was 3 days after my fill day definitely not enough time to get in with a new doctor for my medication that month. I didn't want to change my medication I have been on this medication for years and they work for me. He wanted to completely change them. I normally don't write reviews but something is telling me to so, as a person living with chronic pain it's hard enough of us to get our pain treated without being treated like a addict. I just don't want someone else to be left without a doctor, their medication or feel judged for having to take the medication they need to live their life. He said he didn't want to contribute to the narcotic problem, then why are you a pain management doctor? He's needs to realize alot of chronic pain patients are on some form of narcotics WE are not the problem. We are the ones who suffer for the narcotics problem.

I've been trying conservative treatments for cervical spine pain for a year and finally had to resort to something stronger. Ariel Shaifer, N.P. was my caregiver and she was thorough , informative and went over the cautions of using stronger pain killers. But, she was still accommodating and not condescending or tough. You just have to pass a drug screening prior, a urine test or mouth swab. I was unable to urinate right away but sat in the lobby drinking water until I could. I had nothing to hide. Marijuana use might be a factor in the ability to receive medication, so be forewarned. I was even told to try CBD, but was concerned that since some CBD has a very small amount of THC, I had not used it. I was told that if it showed up upon my next visit, I'd just be asked to discontinue using that product. So, they aren't unreasonable. I had a plethora of conservative treatment information from several doctors and a referral, which apparently is not required, but helpful. I think that's why it went so smoothly. Ariel Shaifer is very pleasant and knowledgeable. The rest of the staff is polite and pleasant as well. I highly recommend them. I had a bad experience at Colorado Pain Specialists where the doctor actually contradicted my doctor's opinion (because he'd never heard of him) and made me cry. Plus, they were in Golden, not so close and easy to get to in Longmont. They followed COVID guidelines and there was no wait... the waiting room was busy, but not packed full. Plus, they ran on time. Seek no further, this is the right place to go!

I was left trying to decide if i would follow, like i have for 5 years. Since becoming disabled with cronic tarsal tunnel symdrome and crps( complex regional pain syndrome) i have struggled bigtime dealing with this condition. At times it truely takes me to the dark side the pain level is so bad. Recently i had a cortizone shot done in my left hand and met the owner Dr Frandrup. To meet someone that has the same cronic issues as me, the same areas, overwhelmed me. Unless you have cronic pain you will never understand how huge this was. I love my Charmin but decided to stay because of Dr Frandrup and of couse all his staff . I know my condition will never go away but having a doctor that deals with what i deal with is huge for my mental state.. Look past all the negitive reviews here. Upon scheduling the appointment, I was called back the same afternoon, informing me that my appointment needed to be moved because of snow that is forecasted. I was told that my appointment would be moved to the next available slot, some 3 hours later. Nevermind that once someone gives me a scheduled appointment time, a couple of things need to happen. 1. I have to schedule the time off of work, because like the vast majority of Americans, I have to work in order to survive. 2. I then move other appointments around so that I can accomodate this new appointment. When an appointment is rescheduled, I then have to go back and redo things all over again, and feel like an idiot having to change the time that I schedule off of work. All of this is bad enough, but when the very next day I am contacted to reschedule my appointment again, I have to draw the line. If patients cannot be accomodated, and expect to be seen when they are told they will be, then something needs to change. The receptionists hung up on me twice, and were giggling in the background while I was explaining my frustrations with them. Today, I am a feeling astonished. I have always spoke highly of this clinic, and today I was given a clear picture of what unprofessionalism looks like. As I mentioned before, I have never recieved anything less than stellar service from this location before. It appears that they have some new staff members, and it is a shame to see this clinic become what it has.

When I received the completed, some information was missing that needed to be included. I asked for a letter to be written and what the letter needed to say to fill in the gaps that were not covered in the form. Instead of doing as I asked, I was given a newly dated copy of a letter that I'd previously been given that didn't provide the needed information. I stressed to everyone that I spoke with regarding this matter why it was so important and the timeframe which I had to work within. I never received what I needed. They are all very nice people, my impression now is that they don't care. This matter was very important to me, but I don't feel that I as a patient, or a customer matter to them.
