I've been going to Commerce Village Dentists for routine care for a few years. I've always had great care and appreciate the staff and doctors. Dr. Nguyen is the best dentist I have been to! My last dentist (who I loved) retired so I had to find someone else. I was concerned that I wouldn't find another dentist that was as good as my last, but I have! Commerce Village Dentists is a full service practice. They provide not only routine care, but also dental implants, bridge work, partials, anything you need as far as dental care! Our family has been going here for 20 plus years. But over the past few years things have changed and not for the better. There has been a lot of staff and dentist turnover and an increase in pushing for unnecessary procedures. Examples: told me I needed a crown on a tooth that doesn't bother me, now telling me I need a crown and a root canal! "Cavity treatment" for my teen who has never had a cavity. Wanting to remove my husband's wisdom teeth that have never caused him problems. Looking for a new dentist! read more

Have been here a few times now for cleanings and more complicated dental work, they are very caring and make you feel very comfortable! I have phobia about dentists and this place really goes the extra mile in making me feel at ease. Big shout out to Holly! She is awesome and very good at her job. As a kid , my parents couldn't afford to take me to get dental care so when I would go into the dentists office I was made to feel so bad when the dentist would look at my teeth and rudely comment on my cavities or crooked teeth. As I got older the idea of going to the dentist created such anxiety and scared to the core. This office has never made me feel bad about my teeth. They have always welcomed me with a big smile and set me at ease when I am there. The dentist will just look and tell me what he feels needs done and does it. No way has he ever made me feel bad. Though the thought of going to the dentist still has lingering effects on my from my childhood experiences I am no longer afraid to go. I appreciate the care this dental group offers! read more

I made an appointment to see the Dentists because I was going overseas, they were so good in arranging the appointment from the get go. When I arrived I was amazed how nice, clean and organized the place was. Karen the hygienist worked on me, the lady is a gem, such a wonderful attitude friendly and gentle when working on my teeth. Same with the dentist Dr David Pulgini Also was very nice in handling my concern. At last when I checked out they were really nice to give me a first time dental appointment allowance. Normally I only post positive reviews, but I have got to warn others about CVD. We utilized them from 2012-2016 and in that time they billed us incorrectly (meaning gave us a credit for an Insurance Credit Card - we don't have one and then tried to tell us that is how Insurance companies paid now a days), told us services were covered by insurance and they weren't so we had to pay, their billing is horrible...I even have a $1 charge that is for checking insurance ...really? They also called me regarding an appointment that was not made by me considering it was during the school day in September and I had been there in August! I think their record keeping is off. In 2018 I was contacted saying we had an old balance...from 2016 I said not according to my records, they sent us to collections, when I spoke to them they cleared the account - umm just got another bill from them 2020. I had to ask Dr.s 3 times to look at old fillings that were giving me issues...finally fixed them. Then they did a crown, that I can feel the ridge with my tongue, not well fitted for the hours I spent getting that put in. When I asked about these issues the office manager at the time (they go through them like wild fire) would be nasty when I tried to speak to any of the Dr.s I was blocked. Finally have time to write a review...to no surprise this place is flooded with recent 1 stars...I came for a normal cleaning and had new insurance. The Female dog behind the counter wanted to let the whole waiting area know that "I didn't have insurance and that they cannot see me" so I go online only to find that my insurance companies website is down...this is the reason this female dog says I don't have insurance so I make a phone call to the number on the back of the insurance card and sure enough, they're having issues with their website but looks me up and BINGO, guess who has insurance? Me. Then the female dog behind the counter has the nerve to say well if they don't pay it, you'll have to. For 1. I did your job by calling 2. Why the heck you so rude? Needless to say I walked out and will never be back and will tell everyone i know not to go here. read more

I do not recommend this dentist please do your due diligence and check around before you make an appointment here! I repeat....do not go to this office. 2 and a 1/2 years ago I had a porcelain bridge put in my mouth at this dentist office, yesterday I was brushing my teeth and the front part of the veneer at the bottom chipped off. Mind you this is my front tooth. Naturally, I was upset and I called the office and got Cynthia and asked her about the warranty on my bridge, she literally laughed and said we don't have warranties. I said what do you mean you don't guarantee your work? She said, well, it has been almost 3 years you know. After that I was upset and I called around to 10 other dental clinics in the area and asked every single one of them what their policy is with regards to guaranteeing their work and every single one of them told me that they do! They stated that especially the porcelain bridges and the amount of money I paid should last a minimum of 7 years but on average about 10 years. I called back she told me I spoke to the doctor and the doctor said you can come in and he can look at it. I told her I live down South and I told you that on the last call ,I am not going to fly to Michigan just to have you look at something , either you guarantee your work or you do not. She said no we do not. I've been to 2 dentists and they looked at my bridge and they both have said that I should demand 80% reimbursement of my bridge because it needs to be replaced and that there is no way that this should have happened. I asked Cynthia the name of the dental lab that she used and she gave me a phony name that does not exist. I contacted an attorney and I plan on filing in small claims court for a reimbursement of my porcelain bridge. I do not recommend them. I will also say that while I was there having other work done prior to the bridge work, the dentist that was working on me was trying to push other services on me that I did not need! If you're smart you'll just stay away from this place altogether. Tamara DeAngelis.... WORST DENTISTS EVER!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I paid cash upfront for all of my procedures. I was over charged, the work was sub par...at best. They do not stand behind their work either. I had several issues and severe pain due to the lack of quality work. I came in 3 different times for issues with their "treatment" due to mistakes made by the staff and the Dentist.... only to be told that A: it was my fault B: they wouldn't repair their work without recharging for the procedure. I was extremely disappointed with my experience and care. From missed delivery dates, to mismanaging my account, to overcharging and double charging for procedures, I can't warn you enough to STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

Pro - the appt was on time. Dental hygienist did a decent job cleaning my teeth but she was non-stop talking 'at' me which I could've done without. My teeth are in very good shape with exception of a recent chip. I had called as a new patient asking if they could fill it. The receptionist assured me that wasn't an issue they do this all time. Con: The young dentist spent a very brief time with me, bed side manner was cold and he referred me back to my former dentist to get it fixed and didn't offer anything else....I felt like I was 'bothering' him. The experience was very disappointing. Thankfully I have found another dentist who is properly qualified and has good reviews . Be sure to check the length of years and qualifications of any dentist you choose. They don't mention any of his qualifications on their website - I should've noticed that. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this dentist office!!! From check in to check out everyone is super nice, pleasant, patient & completely understanding of the process their patients go through. I came in thinking I needed just a crown but when it was determined I needed a root canal they got me in that day!!!! Alicia was SO wonderful & put my at ease, in no time at all she & the dentist had me actually laughing! The dentist made sure I was in as little pain as possible & was so fantastic!!! They all we're very calming & explained what was happening as they went about the process. They even had estimates ready for me to look at before they did any work!!!!! Being someone who had been so fearful of the dentist it is a huge deal for me to actually say if I needed work done again, it would not be as scary as I thought before I went to commerce village dentist! I had a severe quality of care issue with this practice that resulted in implants. Simple front teeth crown replacements turned into a horror story. They would not return my money for the faulty work and the implants cost $$$$$$ to fix the work. However the front office staff is great. read more

I have been going for a few years and really considering leaving after the last couple appointments. I realize people can have off days at work and sometimes they may not always come across very well. My main issue is the lady that checks you out, every.single.time she does not smile or seem happy. She always makes me feel like I am interrupting her day. The last visit we had to wait in the chair for over 30 minutes after our cleaning for the Dentist to perform the exam, got to the point they had to move us to another room so they could take the next appointment. I was not happy because with Covid I wanted to in and out as fast as possible. I did not complain about it but did mention to the checkout lady (that has always been rude) if we can make the next appt. for for Cavity filling during the slowest time they had available. Boy, did she give me an eyeroll and dirty look. I knew her response would be negative because she has always been grumpy, but I feel this was the last straw. Not sure what is wrong with asking for the least busy time available? You would think that would be a good thing. ugh. Just over her attitude. The bad thing is my kids saw her eye-roll and they did not think it was very nice. read more

First off, let me say, I hated dentists almost my entire life. (just turned 40) Had some problems as a kid, 4 years in braces, and finally jaw surgery. I resisted even getting my teeth cleaned due to fear, and past hygienists treating me like a 2 year because I didn't take care of my teeth as well as "they" did.... Well, I have finally found the perfect dentist. Dr. Papsin, of Commerce Village Dentists is by far the best I've ever been to. AND, the staff is wonderful as well. I particularly like the duo of Dr. Papsin and Maureen (think that is her name) for when I've had to have "lots" of work done. The hygienists do not "scold" you if you admit you don't floss, but they do recommend it... The office staff has always explained my bill BEFORE any procedures, working out how much my insurance will pay, and how much I will pay. Never any surprises, unlike some previous dentists I've been to, when suddenly a month later a bill for $350 shows up. Dr. Papsin has pretty much "cured" me of my fear of dentists, he's a funny guy, listens to what you have to say, or any concerns you may have, and he's good. I have not had the privilege of seeing any of the other Dentists on staff... THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO! read more

This has been the worst experience ever. I've waited over 2 hours to have a couple of fillings redone. The appointment was made for 10 am, its now 12:17. I was told it would be 20 more mintues, it's going on 40 mintues since I was told that. This dentist is a waste of your time, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. read more

Very poorly run office. They made a mistake on my appointment and when I showed up for my scheduled apporintment, I was told I was scheduled for a later date. I wasted time and travel time to the office because of their mistake. Yes they did say "we are sorry" and we will give you a gift next time. Although this office is very clean and it's not worth it. The billing people can be rude. The receptionist is STUPID! I called one time to cancel an appt for a filling because I was ill with an upper respiratory infection. I was told I still needed to come in or I would be charged a fee. I told this dummy to double check with the dentist if I should come in. Lo and behold she calls me and says I should NOT come in. No kidding?! The one hygienist (whose name starts with K) is VERY rough with her cleanings and takes X-rays without even really asking first. She constantly has the sales pitch going for fluoride treatments, oral cancer screenings and Water Piks. Enough!!! Not to mention you get an ANNOYING barrage of phone calls and text messages with appointment reminders starting about 5 days before your appt! I got 7 notifications over the course of 2 days before my most recent one. There's a lot of dentists out there and this one is best to take a pass on. read more
