I'm sharing this review as a mother who invested thousands of dollars trying to ensure her daughter received quality cosmetic dental care--only to be deeply disappointed by the outcome and then contacted by an attorney after voicing our experience. I'm writing this with caution and sincerity, as I believe consumers have the right to honest feedback and transparency, especially when it involves health care. My personal experience with Dr. Kakos and her team was frustrating and disheartening. After my daughter received dental implants, we trusted this office to handle the cosmetic restoration. What followed were multiple appointments filled with color mismatches, design issues, and blame placed on everything except the care provided--from my daughter's gum and tooth structure to previous orthodontic work, and even the implant surgeon's technique. None of these explanations changed the fact that the results simply did not look right. Despite staff repeatedly saying the teeth looked "beautiful," my daughter was left with gray-toned, short crowns that appeared unnatural. The only solutions offered were invasive and unnecessary, in my opinion, such as gum surgery or shaving down healthy teeth to compensate. This left us feeling stuck, pressured, and ultimately misled. Thankfully, we found another provider, Dr. Danyal at Berkley Dental, who corrected the work in under two hours. The difference was immediate and validating. It's important to note that after initially posting my experience, I was contacted by legal counsel representing Dr. Kakos. I was disheartened--but not surprised--that a professional response came in the form of legal threats rather than genuine concern for patient satisfaction. I believe in patients' rights to speak about their care without being silenced or intimidated. So here I am again, stating clearly and respectfully: based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice for advanced or cosmetic procedures. If you're considering more than a routine cleaning, I strongly suggest seeking a second opinion. This review reflects my own experience and opinion and is protected under federal and state consumer rights laws, including the First Amendment and the Consumer Review Fairness Act. I come for regular visits and my sister comes for braces all of the people who work there are very kind. The quality was great they do a quick but efficiency and they care about teeth alot.me and my sister and grandfather won little prizes at the claw machine an it was very fun. They make false claim about deep cleaning - because I had a deep cleaning at a previous dentist, they can't give me regular cleaning.

I switched to Dr. Kakos's dental office due to convenience of location and based off Yelp reviews. I'm glad I turned to yelp as this office and their staff are the best I've dealt with. They're professional and knowledgeable while maintaining a comfortable and friendly environment. The lady at the front desk (sorry I didn't catch her name) was welcoming and was helpful with my very specific scheduling needs as well as my insurance questions. Michelle, the hygienist was great. She was well knowledged in her work. (She confirmed for me that I don't have periodontal disease which the last dentist I was seeing said I do have) After my cleaning with Michelle, Dr. Kakos Came and did the followup work. You can tell she takes pride in her work and cares about her patients, which was confirmed because her cell phone # is on her business card. From the first time I called Kakos dental to the moment I left the office, i have to say it was a five star experience. The office staff were extremely welcoming and friendly over the phone and in person, greeting you with a huge smile. The office and reception area was also expertly designed- it was absolutely beautiful and contemporary and zen. There Were also free goodies everywhere, from samples of toothpaste to floss as you checked in and checked out. My hygienist Michelle was also such a joy. She was really nice and friendly and was super gentle with my teeth. She also was very knowledgeable and gave me tips on how to continue keeping my teeth strong and healthy. Dr. Kakos was also amazing- she not only checked my teeth but also checked my neck and jawline for any potential issues that could contribute to dental problems. She was extremely thorough and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend anyone to visit this dental office. A ++ staff and service! I'm surprised to say- im excited to go back in six months! Beyond cleaning, all incidents (tooth chipped from accident, sensitive tooth ) are seen immediately and fixed. Caring for your comfort is high on their priority. Knowledge and experience is also up there. I know that they want us to have our set of teeth for life . Could not have asked for a better dental care provider than Dr Kakos herself . I recently switched to Dr. Kakos and had my first appointment today. From the moment I walked through the door, the courteous staff made me feel welcomed in their office. The initial paperwork was very easy to fill out and I was not kept waiting. My hygienist, Dawn, was excellent! She was very friendly, experienced, and knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the best techniques for brushing and overall care for my teeth. When it was time for the exam with Dr. Kakos, I was made to feel very comfortable by her caring demeanor. She is obviously very well educated in dentistry and what's more, she is a very humble and personable professional. I appreciate her attention to detail as she was quickly able to spot and shape a tooth that had a minor chip--something that no other dentist has ever offered to do. Lastly, I appreciate the familial feel to the office as Dr. Kakos' husband greeted me when I arrived and a picture of their children was in a prominent place in the room. This is not a big-chain office where you are just another patient number, but a local, family-owned, highly-qualified office where I was made to feel like one of the family. I found this gem today due to an emergency. At least it was an emergency to me. The night before my 20th wedding anniversary, my crown fell off my front tooth dental implant. The next day I got up and called various dental offices starting with my own dentist asking if they could help reaffix my crown. No one could do it that day. Finally I read the reviews and called Kakos. What a wonderful experience! The person who answered the phone was so very nice. She said she would check with the dentist and put me on a brief hold. When she returned she asked me if I could get there by 12:10am. It was music to my ears. I was able to fill out forms online before I left home which helped. When I got there, I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly everyone was. There were other patients waiting but things rolled along quickly. I don't think I waited more than 5 minutes before my name was called. The dental rooms were soooooo nice and clean. Dr. Kakos was super busy but not too busy to address my needs. (I think she squeezed me in on her lunch hour). She explained things to me and was going to check back with me. All I can say I walked out of that office with the biggest smile and was very thankful. Dr. Kakos and staff are very kind and professional (except the front area). The new office is very nice and modern albeit farther but that's life. I have to say the office is SOOOO noisy. You can hear all the talking at the front desk - not private at all. You can hear all the ladies talking to patients and about patients. read more

Worst customer experience ever. The doc cut the base of the tongue while working on my wife's teeth and she came home bleeding. On another instance they charged us a "no show" fee even when we couldn't make it because of an emergency. read more

I am soooo excited to finally have a dentist I like and trust again! I went to Dr Jessica Kakos first time today and she cleaned up a mess of cement my previous dentist left behind causing problems. She has the greatest demeanor and the staff is friendly and efficient. Her precision and thoroughness felt caring. She goes out of her way to ensure her patient's health, with gentleness and professionalism. She has a CEREC machine to make crowns in one sitting, if appropriate, and explained how and why it can't always be used. I'm so thankful I found her for my new dentist, as I felt a bit creeped out by my last one that just happens to have horrible ratings on Yelp. read more

Dr. Kakos is hands down THE BEST. She's very thorough and detail oriented, excellent with kids and adults, and genuinely kind and caring. She knew off the bat that we were moving out of state but not only delivered top notch care, also offered to help with qs re care in the future. My 4 year old son just loved it. He keeps asking when he can go see the dentist again and use the "magic straw." The entire office staff is top-notch. They are friendly and professional. My daughter recently went in for a filling and was a bit apprehensive. Two women in the office took the time to calm her down and soothingly talked her through the process. Dr. Kakos came in and also was very calm and compassionate. The filling was completed with no tears! We have been going to Dr. Kakos for several years and this is only one example of the visits that always go smoothly.
