    I had my wedding reception at this venue a year ago today (November 2024). For about 90 minutes the…read morepower went out in the entire building. My wedding reception was held on the 7th floor. When the power went out, there were guests who were stuck in the elevator... For 90 minutes! The Dallas Fire Department had to come and extricate people from all 4 elevators. Some people were forced to climb up 7 flights of stairs to get to our floor. Other guests ended up leaving the wedding altogether because we just never knew WHEN the lights and power were going to come back on. There was no back up generator or power source that the building could draw from. We were not able to start the wedding reception until AFTER 10pm! There was a quinceañera on another floor, and a 70th birthday party being held on a different floor. Everyone had NO POWER! (To be fair, when my mother came to check out this venue the week before the wedding, she said she had to take the stairs down, b/c the power went out then too - in the middle of the day!!!!) So for over 1 hour, our vendors were not able to serve our 400 wedding guests! I lost an hour of service from every single vendor - which ended up totaling over $12,000 lost. When I contacted the owners of the venue, they refused to take any accountability, saying they were not at fault. They refused to refund us even a fraction of the amount that we were owed. They refused that they owed us anything at all! We spent months trying to work out an agreement / negotiate compensation with the owner, to no avail. Nothing. Not even a dime. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU CHOOSE ANY OTHER VENUE FOR YOUR EVENT! IT'S NOT WORTH WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY... SPEND A LITTLE EXTRA AND BOOK YOURSELF A DECENT VENUE. I would give this place 0/5 stars if I could. I highly do NOT recommend.

Ample parking even with potholes to deal with. I think the owners of the rental units are responsible for paving the property. Some serious repaving is desperately needed. There are many other wonderful units located within this particular area. Cigars, wines, Chinese food, and other wonderful spots! Well worth making a visit! However, this review is about this venue. I'll be back to visit the other spots because of their uniqueness! The decorations were wonderful! I think they were provided by the persons that booked the unit. They also had servers for food. However, I think that too was booked via the people that rented the venue. The napkins, which were cloth, were dirty and limp. Ugh! Those need to be replaced. Those were quite objectionably dirty! Same with the white table cloths. (Fake)flower arrangements were nice. They matched the decor for this setting. Chairs need serious updating/replacement or a good scrubbing. Bathrooms were clean and the toilets flushed. Lack of toilet paper was limited. As was hot water and soap. I was a guest. Would I rent here? Yes I would, if the price was right. From the very beginning, Luis Luna, the venue manager, was incredibly attentive, professional, and kind. Leading up to the event, he was always available to answer questions, offer guidance, and make sure every detail was covered. The entire planning process felt so much less stressful because of his support. The night of the event, Luis went above and beyond. He was present, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Any time we needed something, he and his staff were right there, ready to help without hesitation. His team was just as amazing--friendly, welcoming, and truly made us and all of our guests feel comfortable and taken care of. You can tell they genuinely care about the experience they provide, and it shows in every detail. This celebration would not have been the same without their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to step in whenever needed. We are beyond grateful and would 1000% recommend Slate Venue at II Creek to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with an incredible team behind it.

The facility accommodates a variety of meetings, get togethers, and workspace needs. We set up tables and chairs in a U-shape, lowered the screen, projected a slide show, had a presentation and a network meeting. There was a separate kitchen area where people could get coffee or water. Someone brought bagels, but it looked like you could do more in the kitchen space should you want to. There were a variety of tables and chairs grouped together throughout the facility creating unique rooms such as a cafe, bar, lounge, and general workspace. If you needed an office or conference room, you could certainly hold it here. I have no idea what the price is for the space. It seems they are missing out on an opportunity to get this information to people visiting. It seems like they should have a large price board advertising this or at the very least require groups meeting here to mention this. In all fairness, they did have a reception area at the front that ai breezed past because it was so early. No one was staffing the area at 7am. This place had a very casual, playful, and informal feel to it. I could imagine renting it out for other group meetings and events. They seem to have all of the basics covered.

The…read moremanager was incredibly easy to work with and went above and beyond to make our experience good. We had a photographer come in for headshots and pretty much had the run of the facility. We also did a guacamole making competition as a team build activity. She let our facilitator come in the evening before to do set up. Tech was good, the space worked for our needs and all in all we loved it. One cool additional feature they could add sometime in the future would be an ice machine and a filtered water spigot at the sink. These are small things that would only elevate the space even more.

    My husband and I got married at 34 events on November 4, 2016 and it was beautiful. We wanted a…read morevenue that was pretty on it's own, flexible on the caterer and we got that and then some. The lighting package is worth it (chandlier, uplights, overhead string lights)- really, it's all you need to highlight the gorgeous brick interior. Photo package- our engagement pictures were excellent. Neither my husband or I would be considered "photogenic" but he really captured some great shots. Alex started taking pictures of us at 9:30 AM during the Vietnamese tea ceremony and again as we got started getting ready at 34 events around 1 and through the wedding until it ended. He had 2 other assistant photographers there capturing the party. Alex's style is photojournalistic and he is a ninja at getting shots without you knowing. The photo booth was a big hit and they let it run an additional hour or so. We did not go with the caterer through the venue, we needed a very specific ethnic multi-course meal that Alex allowed us to bring our caterer of choice which a lot of other venues do not allow. We also got the beer/wine package and our guests took full advantage. Alex was really easy to work with and always responded promptly. Our wedding was stunning and we had a good experience with 34 events.

We hosted both our ceremony and reception there for 150 guests, and it couldn't have worked out better. One of the biggest advantages of 34 Events is how much is handled in-house. From linens and flatware to special lighting, catering, and the bar, so much was coordinated through the venue, which made the planning process incredibly easy and stress-free. The food was prepared on-site and was delicious. We received numerous compliments from our guests. We also utilized Hope's Day-of Coordination services, and it was worth every penny. Hope is simply amazing. She made the entire day feel calm and effortless, allowing us to truly enjoy every moment. We are so grateful for her care, organization, and attention to detail. Both Hope and Alex were incredibly responsive throughout the process, and we genuinely enjoyed working with them. If you're looking for a stunning venue with outstanding service and a team that truly takes care of you, we cannot recommend 34 Events enough. We had a perfect day thanks to them.
