We set up tables and chairs in a U-shape, lowered the screen, projected a slide show, had a presentation and a network meeting. There was a separate kitchen area where people could get coffee or water. Someone brought bagels, but it looked like you could do more in the kitchen space should you want to. There were a variety of tables and chairs grouped together throughout the facility creating unique rooms such as a cafe, bar, lounge, and general workspace. If you needed an office or conference room, you could certainly hold it here. I have no idea what the price is for the space. It seems they are missing out on an opportunity to get this information to people visiting. It seems like they should have a large price board advertising this or at the very least require groups meeting here to mention this. In all fairness, they did have a reception area at the front that ai breezed past because it was so early. No one was staffing the area at 7am. This place had a very casual, playful, and informal feel to it. I could imagine renting it out for other group meetings and events. They seem to have all of the basics covered.

We also did a guacamole making competition as a team build activity. She let our facilitator come in the evening before to do set up. Tech was good, the space worked for our needs and all in all we loved it. One cool additional feature they could add sometime in the future would be an ice machine and a filtered water spigot at the sink. These are small things that would only elevate the space even more.

My only hardship was with some contractors they hired to help us at end of party. They did not match the caliber of event 1013 and were smoking during their contracted time to help and were more concerned with eating our food versus serving it and wrapping it up at the end. She was thorough during our consultation, quickly made changes to our floor plan and was able to adjust our contract as needed. Whitney, our venue supervisor for the day, was able to have everything ready for us. Even with submitting our projected PowerPoint late (morning of), Whitney was able to have it running smoothly. I had my wedding reception at this venue a year ago today (November 2024). For about 90 minutes the…read morepower went out in the entire building. My wedding reception was held on the 7th floor. When the power went out, there were guests who were stuck in the elevator... For 90 minutes! The Dallas Fire Department had to come and extricate people from all 4 elevators. Some people were forced to climb up 7 flights of stairs to get to our floor. Other guests ended up leaving the wedding altogether because we just never knew WHEN the lights and power were going to come back on. There was no back up generator or power source that the building could draw from. We were not able to start the wedding reception until AFTER 10pm! There was a quinceañera on another floor, and a 70th birthday party being held on a different floor. Everyone had NO POWER! (To be fair, when my mother came to check out this venue the week before the wedding, she said she had to take the stairs down, b/c the power went out then too - in the middle of the day!!!!) So for over 1 hour, our vendors were not able to serve our 400 wedding guests! I lost an hour of service from every single vendor - which ended up totaling over $12,000 lost. When I contacted the owners of the venue, they refused to take any accountability, saying they were not at fault. They refused to refund us even a fraction of the amount that we were owed. They refused that they owed us anything at all! We spent months trying to work out an agreement / negotiate compensation with the owner, to no avail. Nothing. Not even a dime. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU CHOOSE ANY OTHER VENUE FOR YOUR EVENT! IT'S NOT WORTH WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY... SPEND A LITTLE EXTRA AND BOOK YOURSELF A DECENT VENUE. My card was charged, but I was then told they couldn't see the payment on their end and refused to let us ride unless I paid again. The first charge had already processed, and I even showed them my bank statement, but they wouldn't accept it. Since it was my wife's birthday and we didn't want to ruin the evening, I paid a second time so we could ride. Later that night, I lost my wallet. Thankfully it was found, but when I got it back, the $200 cash that had been inside was missing. I know it was there because I originally tried to pay with cash and was told they only accepted cards. When I brought these issues to Phillip, the manager, he was dismissive, rude, and took no accountability for the situation. As for the duplicate charge, they denied any responsibility and refused to refund it, despite the charge clearly appearing on my bank account. I ultimately had to dispute the charge through my bank, and after more than a month, the dispute was resolved in my favor. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend staying away from this business.
