Dr. Loki has saved my life. I initially came to him through a workman compensation claim for extreme upper back pain as a result of working too many hours in front of a computer. I had seen numerous practitioners over the prior 4 years to some relief but Loki was able to address the pain in a systematic root function approach and got me to a place where I have not had issues in that area since. I've had other issues come up with low back/hip/piriformus pain and limited mobility due to injury and he has helped relieve my pain levels and address on-going anxiety and depression. He is great at listening to determine root causes of pain and providing accurate medical documentation to medical coding so it translates to the western medical system. this used to be a great place but I hadn't been in several years. I had paid a one time sign up fee of $20, then there was a sliding scale of $20-40. On my return last week I found the rates had gone up to $35 for a returning customer, which was OK (I guess). But I was charged $55 (surprise) because the sign up fee now expires after 30 days. And I have a nasty bruise right between my eyes where Loki put in a needle into my "third eye". It was bleeding when he removed the needle. Flux Acupuncture lounge on the west side of Santa Cruz where I used to go before I found Communi-Qui is still honoring my $20 sign up fee from 9 years ago, and their fee is still $20. Their ambiance is also much more pleasant. I will be going there from now on.( for $55-$60 there are plenty of highly recommended private acupuncturists in Santa Cruz that come highly recommended). read more

Loki Doan was "spot on" with initial assessment. Golfers elbow is extremely painful... 8 on a 1 to 10 scale. Using the cup therapy followed by the painless acupuncture he knew EXACTLY where to place the probes. Pain was a 0 on 1 to 10 scale! Later in the day went to my golf lesson and NO PAIN.
