I brought my 7 week old baby in to see Dr. Michaela Petersen due to some digestive issues as well as colic. My child had been having only one BM every 5-10 days and would scream when passing gas. Michaela was so patient and wound up treating my baby while I was holding her and she was screaming. The effects of the treatment were immediate. I have just completed my fourth visit with Dr. Goldie for treatment of a Sciatica condition. This was my first visit to a Chiropractor so I do not feel competent to evaluate her chiropractic skills, but at 82 with many, many visits to doctor's offices and more than 25 years as a Human Resources executive I do feel that I can evaluate her as a person and a professional. She is simply the best. She listens with compassion and obviously cares for her patient's well- being. She readily shared her assessment of my condition and offered several suggestions on dealing with it, but perhaps most importantly she encouraged me to get an x-ray , or an MRI , to see if some physical condition was causing my Sciatica. An MRI was scheduled through my Primary Care Physician asking that the report be distributed to him and Dr. Goldi . 24 hours after the exam I received a call from Dr.Goldi suggesting that I come in to get a review of the report. I did so, and she carefully walked me through the report which seemed to indicate that a bulged disc was the likely cause of my Sciatica. As such, my treatment was beyond the scope of Dr. Goldi's office and we agreed that this would be my final visit. But it did not end there, she spent the next 15 minutes reassuring me that my condition could be treated and suggested the kinds of doctors I should be considering, even offering a few specific recommendations. Before parting she gave me a heart- felt hug and reassured me that everything would be OK. From her greeting on my first visit to the empathetic hug on my last, Dr.Goldie proved herself to be a smart, kind, and compassionate professional, and I would highly recommend her and her firm. read more

Goldie is a godsend! I am a competitive half marathon runner and had come down with what seemed to be an impossible case of plantar fasciitis. I had a minor tear in my plantar tendon right at my heel and significant scar tissue had developed in such a way that it literally felt like I had a constant rock in my shoe just in front of my heel. I had gone to the doctor who prescribed rest for 3 months, nothing changed. The doctor then suggested wearing a boot for 3 months and again, nothing changed. I was discouraged to say the least. Enter Goldie. She first recommended that I begin using a cold laser to help with blood circulation to the area to activate natural healing. She showed me how to use it and within a few weeks I was noticing a decrease in the chronic pain I had been experiencing. Next she recommended that I try out the Graston technique to help break up scar tissue and promote circulation. This involved Goldie using dedicated metal tools to scrape/massage my foot and calf. It definitely hurt, however, after about 8 weeks, I was back running again. Months later, I'm back up to running 10 mile long runs and I have no lingering pain whatsoever in my plantar tendon! Dr Goldie has worked wonders with my back. I have had on-going issues with my upper back for almost 10 years. In the past, I would see a physical therapist about 2-3 times a year, for extensive therapy which lasted several weeks. But the pain kept coming back.
