She has been there for us through ups and downs. My daughter has made so much progress while being under her care. Shes extremely experienced in her field and responds promptly to emails. She is quick to offer suggestions and recommendations to all of our concerns. My daughter is in love with her and we genuinely look forward to seeing her every week. Terri, my daughter's speech therapist is equally wonderful. She listens to my concerns and helps guide us through any struggles we are facing. My daughter has made an enormous amount of progress while under both of their care. The waiting area is also really nice, with ample seating and a book shelf to keep your child occupied while you wait. I'd also like to give a shoutout to Renee from the billing department as she has been extremely helpful and kind. She has been there to answer all of my billing questions in a prompt manner. Also, the inside of this place is awesome! They have a beautiful indoor playground and your child is guaranteed to have a wonderful experience. I highly recommend the CDC.

I completed the intake form as soon as I received it and had no calls for over 6 weeks... and THEN only offered telehealth for an 19 month old. Telehealth for a BABY. Don't waste your time, they blamed it on staffing instead of being transparent after multiple calls and waiting. If I wanted telehealth I would have just done that at Kaiser.

Refused to hear otherwise, even when presented with research (or a simple Google search). He was a total jerk about it too. We've since heard from a few others that they had a similar experience here. Unhelpful and time-wasting at best. At worst, could cost you potential jobs. Avoid, avoid, avoid- perhaps unless your goal is to be a social worker. That seems to be the job they were pushing on everyone here. They told us several times that the state would pay for us to become social workers. They tried to get us and several people we know- from laid off teachers to construction workers- to enroll in school to become social workers. When we told them we weren't interested, they said our job prospects in any other field were dismal and we were being "unrealistic about our lives."

It has become increasingly difficult to find providers who will truly take the time to listen and problem-solve rather than categorize patients based on diagnosis. Too often, families are sent on their way with little guidance and the hope that things will somehow work out. Out of the 60+ doctors we have seen during my child's 15 years, we can count on one hand the providers who didn't treat us like just another number. We feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Chi, first through Los Robles Pediatrics and now at Coastal Kids. While our medical journey has been challenging, Dr. Chi has remained professional, compassionate, and incredibly dedicated. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure my child feels seen and heard, which is rare these days. If she doesn't immediately have an answer, she takes the time to research and always follows up with one. Her guidance has been instrumental in helping us find specialists for my child's complex diagnoses. We were also thrilled when the office transitioned to Coastal Kids. As ocean lovers, we absolutely love the nautical-themed office. The environment is clean, welcoming, and well organized, and we especially appreciate the separate entrances for well and sick patients. The entire front office staff has been wonderful. They recognize and greet my child by name every time we come in, and they always respond when we reach out. The appointment text reminders are also very helpful. Over the years, my child has grown increasingly anxious about medical appointments and has struggled to trust the healthcare system. This office has helped restore some of that faith. We are incredibly grateful for everything they have done for our family.

The place seems more like a nice hotel than an elder care center, with beautiful grounds, winding paths, and even bunnies! This was the second place she was in memory care, and there is no comparison. The staff here is so caring and professional. They keep in regular touch with the residents' families, and spend a tremendous amount of time on enrichment activities with each resident. The food is excellent, and was served in a restaurant-like environment before the pandemic. Now it is catered to each room They also hosted a private birthday lunch in one of their small dining rooms for our family and my mother-in-law. Since the pandemic they have done a marvelous job of keeping residents safe. Most of the staff and management have been here a long time, and it's easy to see why.

My five stars go to Sunrise's executive director, Edith Kennedy, and the nursing and admin staff…read more They are exceptional, and I don't use that word a lot. Edith is particularly outstanding because she truly cares and is on her game with details, always wanting feedback (good or bad) to make your loved one's experience the best it can be. Now, with assisted living facilities this can sometimes be like moving a mountain. But, she earnestly tries. She's got your back. However, despite this, we are actually moving my dad to another local facility shortly due to one of Sunrise's bad qualities, horrible in fact, and that is...pricing. Again, to be found at many assisted living facilities but costs at Sunrise are higher than most...and they price differently than most. For example, when you first talk to them they speak of the rent as a flat rate. But it's not. Sunrise charges you a day rate per month. So your cost varies per month based on days of the month. The rent is better in February, September, April, June and November. But the other seven months with 31 days...all higher. And surprise...there are more months with 31 days in a year so the house wins. It's a bad optic. Despite the costs, they serve generic soda vs. Coke and Pepsi brands. Small yes, but at these prices...bad optic. They only have transportation offered 2 days a week while most other places provide 7 days. Again, for what they charge...bad optic. And one other thing. No matter what month you move in, your rent will be increased come January by 5-10%. The contract makes it sound like it's a random event, but it happens every year like clockwork and you will be notified 60 days in advance. And remember, you have your highest leverage to negotiate (the move-in fee, etc.) before you sign the contract. So with Sunrise, the people are terrific. The prices are not. And in the end, it's a shame that a business that exists to provide care often comes across as caring more about the money.

It was getting so bad we had to take her the hospital a few times. One of this times they discharged her to Camarillo Health Care center. She wasn't in there for more than 10 minutes and she wanted out. The place smelled there were people wandering the halls people screening and no one around to help. Well as it turned out we only had to go to that facility because Mom had advantage pro health care HMO insurance and the choice of post care was very limited. At the hospital they said if we cancel her Advantage pro and then she will just have Medicare A+B and with her medi cal she would be covered well. So we got lucky that we got this all fixed and she was admitted into TOPA. After the experience in Camarillo we were so thankful to be near the house here in TO. First of all the place is clean. It doesn't smell. The staff is nice and helpful. So I don't know what happened with everyone else here on Yelp but they must have been picky cause in the world of post care this place is nice! After her stay of 30 days I heard no complaints. She said the food was good and they had planned events. Like a mariachi band for Hispanic heritage month and taco Thursdays. On her way out everyone was saying good bye and hugging and kissing. So suffice it to say I recommend TOPA wholeheartedly.

My father was there for rehab after a hospital stay. The PT team seemed to be caring and…read moresupportive. The wait times for getting help is very unreasonable- 45 min to use the bathroom is unacceptable. My dad came out of there worse off than when he arrived - during his stay he contracted a very contagious infection and came home with an undocumented ulcer, which has to be treated by a wound care specialist. The rooms are very old- 3 people to a room and 6 people using one bathroom, bathrooms are not sanitized between uses. 1 shower in the hallway, nurse couldn't tell my father if it had been cleaned and sanitized before they wanted him to use it, so he refused. I highly suggest you check out this facility before sending a loved one there.
