This is usually our go-to pharmacy in Juarez. There's been a couple of others I've gone to but this…read moreone stands out for me. The customer service here is always great. We usually deal with the same pharmacist, an older male. I wish I knew his name but I don't. He's usually the only one who's there. He's very helpful on which products I should buy. He knows and understands some English. We speak to him in Spanish since it's easier to communicate with him. I came here with my mom a few weeks ago to get antibiotics for a toothache. The meds are always cheaper here than in El Paso. I also had to get some pain/fever reducer and another medicine my dentist prescribed. It was $36 and change for 3 or 4 different prescriptions. My mom also got some wrinkle reducer elixir of some kind for $15. That's a steal for this kind of product. The best part about this pharmacy is...they give you a few mini empanadas every time you buy something! They're always delicious and taste fresh. The empanadas are usually pineapple. Honestly, this is one of the main reasons why we come here. They're a little treat to snack on as you wait on the bridge to cross back over to El Paso. Oh and another good thing is...they take American money and even have change for it. That's pretty rare in Juarez. Usually when you pay with American dollars, they'll give you your change in pesos. Most places won't take a U.S. credit or debit card. If they do, they'll charge you a huge fee to use it. It's best to have U.S. dollars or go to an exchange place. The exchange places are all over the place! We'll be back to this pharmacy for sure!

Nothing like that. In fact, you will be ignored until you can make eye contact with someone who happens to walk by. My experiences there--there have been 3--have roused me to never come back. Like, ever. I dropped off a Rx on Monday that needed to be ordered. I was told it would be in the next day and I would receive a phone call. I made sure to give 2 phone numbers because I cannot go without this medication. No phone calls by Thursday and I show up for this ensuing fiasco: Yesterday's visit (Thursday) It took them 3 tries to get my insurance on file. They have had it in the system since February, but act as if I had no insurance and would have to pay out-of-network prices. Yesterday I came in for a medication refill that I had filled--by them, mind you--last month. They quoted me a price of over $300. I said that this was unreasonable because last month it was only $60. I gave them my insurance information on a piece of paper because I thought that maybe there was a mix-up in their system (which happens often, according to the store manager). Sidenote: Their outdated computer system does not take debit transactions so your payments could take weeks to process with your bank account. Finally, I spoke with a manager who explained to me that there was an error with their system, and it would now only cost $265. I became quite irritated because I knew that this was another lie, and told them that I would be taking my business to the neighborhood Wal-Mart where the staff will speak with you and not treat you as if you were a bill-fold with legs. Now this was quite an unpleasant thing to have to do because now I am rushing back and forth around town to fill a medication that should have been handled on Tuesday. After speaking with the staff at the Wal-Mart pharmacy, who were kind and pleasant to work with, I learned that McCrory's was refusing to transfer my prescription because, "It had already been filled." So now I had to go back to McCrory's to cancel the order and tell them once again, in person, that I want it transferred to Wal-Mart. When I got back to McCrory's, I saw that my insurance information was still sitting on the counter--where any customer with a pair of working eyes could see it, take the paper, or at the very least copy my information. The manager was apologetic once again, yet offered no help with solutions to any of the previously mentioned problems: not allowing debit, insurance not being stored correctly, inaccurate price quotes, and abhorrent customer service. I left for the last time. Never once having heard anything like, "Thank you for shopping with us," or "Have a nice day!" Needless to say, if this business was your neighbor, they would be the old couple yelling at the kids to, "Stay off of my lawn!" These people are snakes, and do not deserve your business. They claim to be a "Neighborhood Pharmacy," but do not care about you. What they really want are huge profits. Their in-store items are marked up so heavily it would be laughable, except that some people actually need those items. I mean, $2.75 for a half ounce tube of hand sanitizer is a joke, right? Do yourself a favor and find a pharmacy with a competent staff who will treat you with respect and decency.

I had one of the most unprofessional and frustrating experiences I've ever had at a Walgreens…read moretoday, specifically with Irma and the woman working in the photo department (I didn't catch her name, but I have a video reference). When I first walked in to register, I witnessed Irma speaking to a customer who was simply asking a question about her reward points. Instead of trying to understand the woman's concern, Irma just repeated the same dismissive line over and over in a rude tone: "It's online. You have to look online." She didn't even try to clarify, help, or explain anything. When it was my turn to check out, I asked about the in-store Pepsi promo coupon for $1 off. I had already texted the code exactly as the coupon instructed, and I received a message saying the discount would apply once I entered my rewards number. But when they rang me up, nothing applied. Instead of helping, Irma fed me the same nonsense excuse she'd been giving everyone: "It's an online coupon. You have to do it on your phone." That wasn't even true. The coupon was right there, in store, clearly marked. She acted like I didn't understand the process, when in reality she clearly didn't know what she was talking about. She eventually voided the transaction and manually took off the dollar -- something she could have done from the start. Irma then tried to argue with me by claiming the coupon was marked in red and that it clearly said it was an online only offer. I showed Irma right there on my phone that yes, it did say "online," but it was highlighted in yellow, not red like she claimed. And honestly, even if it is an online offer, then why is Walgreens displaying it in-store at all? What's the point of putting up coupons that can't even be used at the register? It's confusing, misleading, and a complete waste of everyone's time. They need to do better. After this whole ordeal, I went straight to the manager Ray to explain how unacceptable the behavior was. I've never been treated so rudely at any Walgreens or CVS. The lack of customer service, the dismissive attitudes, and the unwillingness to assist customers is shocking -- especially from employees who should know better. As a rewards member, I shouldn't be treated like I'm a problem for simply asking about a promotion displayed in the store. Walgreens seriously needs to retrain staff like Irma and the photo department employee, because the way they're handling customers is completely unacceptable. Whether Ray--the manager--or any of these Walgreens employees actually care about correcting this behavior is honestly unclear. But I would hope that Walgreens as a whole understands something simple: if customers treated them the way they treated us, they wouldn't tolerate it for a single second. It's time for this store and its leadership to step up, take responsibility, and fix the way they treat the people who keep their business running.

After waiting in line for 25 minutes today I gave the young girl the name for my daughter's prescriptions. She keeps insisting that there is only two RX's. I told her there is three & to check again. She argues that there is not & I show her my app which clearly shows the three prescriptions that the Dr called in. She goes to get them and leaves me waiting another 10 minutes with many cars piling up behind me at this point. She came back finally and told me that they have "lost" the prescription and will have to re make the prescription and for me to come back in one hour. The other missing prescription not filled either. She could tell at this point that I was visually upset. She put the phone down and started laughing with the pharmacist. The utter lack of professionalism & unconcern for people's time at this pharmacy is unbelievable. They used to have a great pharmacy staff. Now it is terrible.
