Very happy to have found this acu practice. The community concept really works for me. I don't need a secluded darkened private room for treatment, nor the associated prices. The treatment rooms: This practice has 9 or 10 extremely comfortable and large recliner chairs, plus one table for those who need it, in two rooms. Everything is covered in soft fleecy blankets, so there is no problem with your skin sticking to the leather (important because the acupuncturist needs access to your arms and legs for the treatment). The price: The sliding scale is a Godsend and very, very welcome. My income fluctuates and although I pay more when I can, it's wonderful to be able to continue treatment at a lower price when I need to. Indeed, the ability to pay less makes me feel grateful and more inclined to pay full price whenever possible (I think full price - $40 - is very competitive for a 45-60 min treatment). The hours: The practice is not open long hours, but the times fluctuate so that some days they are open in the morning, some days in the afternoon. I think they have done a good job of trying to accommodate the many different schedules and needs of their client base. No complaints or suggestions whatsoever, unless to say that it will be nice if they take on a second practitioner and expand their hours. Very happy to continue seeking treatment here. read more

This is a wonderful acupuncture practice. Diana listens, takes her time and is totally committed to the community model where people sit in the two major rooms to sleep while the individual treatments are doing their work. The price is on a sliding scale $20-$40 so you are able to return more often to get better. This acupuncture has helped my allergies and arthritic knees. My friend speaks of how her shoulder and back, which were bothering her for a long time got much better. I also feel much more relaxed after a treatment. I am so happy I have found Diana Gioia and can now take positive steps in helping myself heal naturally. This is the best acupuncture practice I've found. read more
