If I could give Zero stars I would! This is the worst school in business. They take your money right away but your kid waits a year for road lessons. One car one instructor. Zero flexibility. Owner is rude and would rather deal with minors than the adult paying for lessons. I would steer clear of this place with every gps application you can find! Pun intended. Terrible customer service. I would have given this "school" a zero but that unfortunately is not an option here. Community Auto School is a complete WASTE OF MONEY and TIME. Don't give them your business or your child's! THEY SAID I HAD TO PAY CASH probably so they don't have me on a record somewhere and to avoid taxes and fees from the state I'm sure. When I contacted the school originally in the beginning of MARCH the "owner" ( btw everyone who works for this school claims they are the owner, I still can't find out who owns it) scheduled me for 2 weeks of road lessons and I was told I can take a road test the third week. Totaling 3 week process, seemed great, I took it! Little did I know road lessons would be CANCELED by them or they would have NO AVAILABLE SLOTS weeks at a time, every time I had a road lesson they would show LATE TO PICK ME UP and DROP ME EARLY. They however had no problem CHARGING FULL PRICE even for time I wasn't in the car... So last road lesson was April 12, I was finally contacted June 16th about a road lesson for June 26th. I said yes! ( I do need me license after all this) June 26th came they still did not get back to me about a time slot for this day. At 3PM I get a message from one of their "owners" reading: "Just making sure you got my text about your time this evening 615PM.." WHAT!!??!! So I asked about this supposed text they sent me and told them I haven't heard from them in ten days at all. The response I got was "OK. So are you coming?" Did I mention their lack of professionalism? They sent me no screen shot or anything showing they texted me didn't try to prove they did because they know that they did not but don't want to be held accountable. And by the way no I did not go to that road test even though I paid a bit towards it already and they have that money. You think I'll get a refund? Probably not. But I'd rather bring me business else where. I have went forward and contacted the Better Business Bureau of Massachusetts in Marlborough to inform them of our situation here. read more

So, Beaver has gotten his license, God Help Us All. And we went thru Community Auto... PRO-Conveniently located in our town with after school or vacation week classes. The older lady who teaches the actual classes (& this includes the mandatory parent class) is good. Down to earth, tells it like it is. I liked her. AND the kids can take their driving test here in Dracut, not in downtown Lowell on busy, unfamiliar streets. EH?-Brian the driving guy is fine too. As long as your kid doesn't mind long rambling stories about the brilliance of President Trump, with their driving lesson. CON-The Office Staff - TERRIBLE. Unorganized, don't call you back, don't bother to email you back if you have any questions. Which I did. They want ca$h or bank check before your kid can start the actual driving lessons. So I show up to give them the ca$h (& they need to take a copy of the kids permit, so you can't mail it in) & there is a note on the door "closed this afternoon". Great, so happy I left my job early to find you not at your job. Go another day & I give the lady the several hundred dollars ca$h so Beaver can start his driving lessons. She copies his permit & says "oh sorry I'm out of receipts right now, I'll email you one". Yeah...NO. I tell Ms. Genius to print me out a receipt from the computer right in front of her & she does. One of my friends hears this story & reports that she was there the WEEK BEFORE for her son & they were out of receipts then too. And of course, they never emailed her the promised receipt. Also, instead of booking your kids next driving lesson when they finish one lesson, they "text everyone" on Sunday. And some weeks they "forget" to text you, so your kid gotta wait a while to get back in the driving rotation. Why not schedule the next lesson when you let the kids off from their current lesson? Just typical of the disorganization of Community Auto School. SO-While the classes, lessons & location get the job done, dealing with the Office Staff killed any good feelings I had about this place. read more

My fourth kid is now here. Absolutely love this school. Scheduling was easy whether it was via email or text. The driving lessons were on time and conveniently scheduled, to fit our busy life. I would have given NO STARS if it was an option..Do not use this school, you will be hugely disappointed! I'm about to receive my money back, the owner is rude and very inflexible with the scheduling. The kids have to wait weeks to even get in and god forbid you have to cancel/reschedule she dismisses you entirely! She texted my children aggressively and when I called to discuss she was equally rude and yelled over the phone. No way no way would I recommend this business and you can see neither do others! Our children should be excited about driving lessons, they should feel at ease and comfortable! Mine were stressed with contacting her and nervous and in tears the last text, for the endless rude messages. We will be transferring to another school with better people skills! Brian is an awful instructor. He got the job because his family owns the business. Any qualifications? Don't think so. The first few lessons I had with Brian I asked him if I should be pressing on the brakes before I take a turn. His response was ALWAYS "you should have learned that in the Driver's Ed classes". Well I DIDN'T and I asked him to clarify and was NEVER given a response. Then, when I would take turns quickly without braking (because he NEVER informed me I should be braking!), he would start screaming at me and telling me I shouldn't be driving. How would that help me learn to drive, Brian? Another time, at a green light, I stopped before taking a right-hand turn. Instead of telling me, calmly, "you don't need to stop at green lights" he YELLED at me "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! IT'S A GREEN LIGHT!" Brian is not calm or collected. Someone who can't respond with level-headedness to a non-life threatening event (such as stopping at a green light) should NOT be teaching people how to drive. Also, instructors should be ANSWERING the questions of their students, not ignoring them or telling them they should already know the answer. Wholly inappropriate. Also inappropriate? Brian always had InfoWars on the radio, an absurdly right-wing news source (equal to, if not worse than, HuffPost on the left). He was unwilling to change the radio; once, I changed it to Kiss108 (some nice non-controversial music!) and he changed it back right away. It was not pleasant to sit and listen to these absurd conspiracy theories while I was trying to learn how to drive. More than half of my lessons were with Brian and they were unenjoyable and uninformative. I dreaded them. Try to avoid sending your kid to lessons with Brian. This place would likely be better if they just fired him. But of course that will never happen since him and the owner are related. This doesn't even fully express my distaste for Brian and, by association, Community Auto School. read more
