Inside, two shelves of books. Mostly young adult and children's reading but some romance and fiction. Nothing that caught my eye but still good options. This is not in the Little Free Library database map so it's probably not part of that program. I did not see any indicators of the sponsorship or steward for this community book box. It stands on a single post and has the one door. This library does not appear in the Little Free Library database map and does not have any indications on it who sponsored it or the steward. I think it's safe to assume the fire department was involved. Inside, it has two shelves that were neatly organized. Mostly children's and young adult reading today, there wasn't anything that caught my eye. Some hand-made bookmarks were also available. There is parking to visit the library. I spotted the Recycled Reader in Downtown Elizabeth City and was intrigued by the used bookstore…read morethat appeared to be a bank at some point. When I entered I was not expecting the number of books inside. This place is huge. The store was divided by genres and had a good selection of books. I am not sure what the pricing was like as I did not see a price on the books. It seems that most people trade books in and use store credit to get newer books. Besides used books, they had some new books and used puzzles. The Recycled Reader had dedicated parking spots for customers. I enjoyed the bank vault that was made into a colorful reading nook. The store is an asset to the community so check it out if you are in Elizabeth City.

A lovely & cozy book store! Lots of selection organized in more categories than I've seen elsewhere…read more(which was very convenient) & they're in very good condition. They have a few chairs throughout & even a little reading nook, they also provide bags & even have small carts for you to use while you're there. The staff was very friendly & helpful finding books. They have a credit system when you bring in used books to go towards your purchases. They also sell puzzles, book marks, stickers & more small things. This has easily become my new favorite spot!

Lots of children's, some recent best sellers and more. A great variety. This is charter number 98090 and it is listed in the Little Free Library database map as "Cat's Little Free Library" with this caption, "Our friend, Catherine, was an educator, avid reader, loving daughter, sister, wife and mommy. Cat was passionate about everything in our world. She loved yellow roses. She passed away in 2019, much too young. All aboard this cute community book box! Crafted to resemble a train car, this Little Free Library…read moresits next to the Suffolk Train Station museum. It mostly contained kids books and it would be nice to have a bit more variety, and maybe the steward could include some train books as well! The painting of this library box is pretty cool, and was done by Heather Eichman, a local artists who supports the Suffolk Art League in this quaint little town. Suffolk is known for the Planters Peanuts Factory! And you'll definitely go nuts for this library as you as tooling around the historic area! This Little Free Library is right on track for avid readers!
