I have been to this Goodwill three times, three different days and I have had a good experience each time. The staff is very friendly at check out! The dressing rooms were open and clean. I appreciate that everything is sorted well and sizes are together, too (mens, womens--and further, dresses, tanks, shirts, long dresses, maternity, etc) The best part honestly is the up front and honest pricing. It doesn't matter if it's a walmart dress or calvin klein dress- it's 7.99. Shirts are 3.99.. I'm not seeing 8-15 for a single thrifted t shirt here. I drive from Portsmouth to shop here. It is worth it!

Fantastic. He finds antiques or makes new pieces from reclaimed wood and can pretty much make anything you'd like. There are pre-made items inside for sale or you can commission something. Also some cool decorative items all throughout. He was very engaging and passionate and had a fabulous dog crate we looked at he just built that was gorgeous and multi functional. The classes and event offered here are amazing, I just really wish there was something. Similar in Norfolk. It took me an hour to get to this location from the VA Beach Oceana area.

I inherited an antique bed that belonged to my grandmother. It had beautifully carved posts with…read morepineapples at the top but it was only a 3/4 sized bed and just long enough for a person under 5'5" to sleep comfortably. I loved the posts but knew it was impractical to keep the bed due its size so imagine how happy I was to hear about Monticello Antiques. Irene and Dave were able to enlarge the bed so it can accommodate a queen mattress, which is what I wanted in the guest room. They worked with me to design the headboard so it would be taller and more updated than the original and Dave fixed the posts where additional carving was needed. It just turned out beautifully. I couldn't be more pleased. You cannot buy the craftsmanship of this bed in today's world. Thank you, Irene and Dave for the love and care you gave to my grandmother's bed. It is lovely!
