Some hardcovers but mostly paperbacks today. Fiction, self-help, young adult, fantasy and children's reading. A good variety though nothing caught my eye today. The library does not have any indications that it is part of the Little Free Library system and does not appear in their database map. Lots of children's, some recent best sellers and more. A great variety. This is charter number 98090 and it is listed in the Little Free Library database map as "Cat's Little Free Library" with this caption, "Our friend, Catherine, was an educator, avid reader, loving daughter, sister, wife and mommy. Cat was passionate about everything in our world. She loved yellow roses. She passed away in 2019, much too young. Considering the massive rainstorm I just drove through and this location along the river, the books inside were in excellent condition. The single box is on one post and there is parking nearby. Inside, two shelves of books. Mostly young adult and children's reading but some romance and fiction. Nothing that caught my eye but still good options. This is not in the Little Free Library database map so it's probably not part of that program. I did not see any indicators of the sponsorship or steward for this community book box. The Harry G. Daniel Park at Iron Bridge is huge so it would be challenging to find this library…read morebox. I've tried to place the pin at the exact spot but Yelp may move it. Upon entering the park from the west, take the second right turn. It is near the playground. The box stands on a single post, painted red on all four sides with a white wood roof. The door handle/pull fell off or was stolen but it opens easily. Inside, not much of a selection today with only a few books and some samples of Parent Life magazine. I really like this book store. Its a great place to hang out and look at books on a day you have…read morenothing to do. I went in to exchange d.v.d.'s, and in return you get store credit you can shop with. They don't take every single d.v.d. but i got a decent amount and found some pretty good reads. They also take books. The store is clean and organized. The prices are pretty reasonable. They had fictional books, cookbooks, new age, spiritual/religious, diy, gardening, children's books and more. The staff was friendly, and its a chill vibe inside. I'll definitely return. They have a location in Norfolk and Chesapeake as well. Check them out!!
