We lost our barn, animals, possessions, equipment, ect.. Over a month ago. This was a devastating…read moreloss of our livelihood, and caused a great deal of stress for our family. I am extremely disappointed in the way our claim is being handled. To date, no payment on behalf of Luck Mutual have been made. Like I said before, this farm was our LIVELYHOOD. Luck Mutual however, does not seem to want to get us "Back on our feet", very quickly. A few issues we have had... 1. Our barn was considered a total loss, however no payment has been made. 2. Our gravity box was initially denied, as Luck Mutual said it was not, "Farm Equipment."-I did fight this, and they did now say they would pay for it, but again no payment has been made. 3. Our slaughtered bull was not covered under policy, because policy reads, "Steers". (Keep in mind that we raise beef cattle for a living, we can't determine the sex of a calf! The agent should have known this)-No payment will be made towards this loss. 4. Our personal property loss exceeded our limits, we did have replacement value, however.....Luck Mutual offered us only 10% of our limit to start replacing items. Not even ACV! We would have to take out a loan to cover the rest.-----I contacted the WI State Insurance Commissioner who has said they will help us argue this, as they believed it to be inappropriate as well. 5. Major Equipment Loss- We are still without, as we had to get estimates for the repair work needed, and jump thru the hoops. We were not able to just, "drop off" for repair.--This is not acceptable to farmers who need this equipment. 6. Clean-up---We hired a private company to start clean-up as we wanted to salvage as much as possible before the snow melt..... After, the clean-up had begun, we found out that the insurance "capped" us, because they found someone to do it for less, even though we hadn't met our max $ amount for clean-up.--No payment has been made towards the company we hired for clean-up. 7. Lastly.......and most frustrating....Our well was in the barn....Because of the collapse we have no water in the house. We have a family of 6 living for the past month with no water, and can't get it repaired till insurance payout. Although we have done the hotel thing, that is getting expensive, as is the laundry mat, paper plates, plastic cups, ect..--- Needless to say, In my opinion Luck Mutual is not an easy company to deal with. Pay a little more for a company who cares for their customers.

Luckily another local insurance company picked up the pieces for me and signed me up the next day with the SAME EXACT INSURANCE COMPANY that Jensen-Sundquist stated would no longer cover me!!! Thank God for our new insurance company, so we could plan my mother's funeral. I explained to Jensen-Sunquist that I had ZERO notice and that this was a very bad time for me but THEY DID NOT CARE!!!! Shame on them for being so heartless. I would stay away from this company at all costs!!!!
