Temperatures are currently soaring with triple digits and honestly a day like this warrants any moving company NOT operating due to dangerous unsafe conditions. However Michael was down a teammate with today's move and legit got the job DONE! If you are a single lady moving, do not use this company. Or quite honestly, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Michael is very unprofessional. I was guaranteed 2 guys to show up from 9-10am yesterday. Only Michael showed up 3 hours late due to an issue from another move (which I was fine with). I only had one water hardly drank from and told him he can waterfall it because he was dying of thirst and spits it all back up on my floor. He proceeds to work. I see him doing push-ups in my apartment. He had his shirt off most of the time even though I had my AC at 68 and both of my fans on. I had my door open because I didn't want to be in an apartment alone with one dude I didn't feel comfortable with. He asked me for my help 3 times, which when you get a moving company, you shouldn't have to do their job. I'm standing outside and hear a big crash and see him picking up my TV. Then he proceeds to lie about "the wrap hitting the fan and knocking my tv over slightly". He made a few comments to me saying "you look hot in that outfit" and proceeds to shut my door. I reached out to multiple guy friends because I was so uncomfortable. So finally, I got one to come down. He starts having a conversation with me about how if he looked like me he would be fine with taking compliments and that he was just trying to make small talk. I finally decided to kick him out and helped him unwrap my things. He continued mumbling, saying I'm not humble. Goes into my fridge, takes an energy drink. I told him he could pay me for it so he opens his wallet and takes out 2 condoms and says, "I need a girl friend". I'm absolutely furious. These guys cracked me up somehow within getting everything loaded, transported, and moved into my new place within a period of three hours. It was nice given the amount of stress I've been under being single and trying to get moved from city to city. I would say to have water bottles available for them so that they can stay hydrated while helping you out. I didn't think about it myself, rookie mistake, but for two guys to have put in the amount of work they did in a short period of time, I'm sure you'd understand why I felt like it was the least I could do. Then said mam anything else? I have plans! The conversation was completely personal. It had nothing to do with other jobs! Had a move from Dallas to Houston. Michael came out and gave me the most reasonable quote out of everybody. Like THOUSANDS less. The move started a little late and the dynamics of the team were a little shaky at times but considering the length of the move and the amount of work required, I won't hold that against them. I worked with Michael on my recent move between apartments in downtown Dallas. I moved from the medical district area to Uptown. My younger brother also used Michael a month after I did to move from Richardson to downtown Dallas. We heard about Champions Moving from a friend, who highly recommended the company. Working with this company on my move was nothing short of amazing. As a smaller independent moving company, they have very competitive rates saving my several hundred dollars compared to the rates of bigger companies and provided me with very personal customer service. They come with movers insurance and their own moving truck. For my 1 bedroom 1 bathroom move, they sent two men. They finished the move very quickly, not pausing until they were done with the job. They got the job done quickly and nothing was damaged in the process. Michael made sure to carefully wrap up anything he thought would be fragile and made sure to wrap up my bed and couch to prevent them from getting dirty in the moving process. Michael also made sure to keep up communications with me throughout the move in process. He responded to my questions promptly through email, text, and phone call and made sure to check up on me to confirm my move as the day got closer. Today was rough. I woke up at 4am ready to kick butt and move. My movers were scheduled to arrive between 8am and 9am. I gave them some grace after the first call but 3, 5 and 7 hours past. After waiting 7 hours I gave up and decided I need to act quickly and start calling places. First few attempts no one had any openings. I finally took my chance on Community of Champions Moving. They literally had 19 reviews but I needed someone because I was looking at additional fees for another night in my apartment. Michael Park literally dropped what he was doing and came to my rescue. I was expecting to pay out to wazooo for a last minute deal but after tip this guy beat everyone in town. No lie! This was the best moving experience. BEWARE: Scheduled and confirm a move for 9 am and got text at 9am saying keys were locked in truck so will be late. Fine. Followed up hour later and same story. After that all texts and calls were ignored! We had to move out that day and were basically left to fend for ourselves. Luckily found somebody that was able to help out last minute. Worst moving company... I got a quote to move a week in advance and they agreed to a flat rate with 3 drivers and arrival time of 8-9 am. Next thing you know, they show up at my door at 11 am with 2 drivers and say that there is too much stuff in my apartment so it has to be a hourly rate. Then they say that they have to go get a third guy(even on the email it said 3 guys) idk why they only brought 2 in the first place) and wanted a hour lunch break before they started the move. Keep in mind Its already 12:30 at this point and i've wasted 3 hours of my time. Very Unprofessional. This is my first time moving, Michael and crew made it simple and way less stressful than I thought it would be. Wow! I never had to listen to so many excuses in my life when someone promised and didn't show up for the work after all discussion and exchange of contact information. Called them beginning of the week, booked the weekend and was even asked if they could come early. Even better! We said yes and packed everything up and ready to go. Got a message at 2am from Michael asking if everything was ready and was excited to move. Guess what? Nobody showed up within the estimated time range. Half an hour later we had to call them just to know they were still busy with another move and had to go eat so we had to wait another 3hrs. Really? Even had the nerve to tell me I should have called earlier to check with them and booked an ealier spot for future reference. Wow! My husband almost lost it hearing him talk over the phone so I had to hang up despite after all the meaningless apologies and excuses of lack of people, no elevators, having to walk far, bla bla bla. Michael may be a good guy but not the right person to do business with. This business is on my black list and maybe they shouldn't be too greedy with booking on a weekend.
