We weren't able to get in to see the surgeon for a consult as quickly as we would have liked, but seeing his PA Jennifer was absolutely the next best thing! Intake was prompt, on sight x-rays and fully informed on what is most likely to come over the next several months! So far so good!

They said now, I live 2 hours away. Zero support after total knee replacement. Surgeon never contacted my family after surgery, i had stickers on my skin from surgery drap and other things that tore off my skin causing raw skin and need for tpoical antibiotics! I called due to extreme swelling and pain to be on hold for hours as #3 in cue, they don't answer the phone and was told my 2 week post op is where I will get answers to my questions, really?!?! What's the point of the instructions to call if problems? Just don't call them, call anyone but. AFOC if you need help. No help understanding the ice machine dance with leg bending machine, they hurt. Zero post op support in any form. Avoid this clinic at all costs, next sharing the hell with the insurance company.

It took some time to find the right place for physical therapy, but this place is a game changer! I…read moredrove 1 hour into Anchorage every time I had an appointment to come see Joy because it was worth it. We worked on so much more than just TMJ to really bring balance and restoration to the whole body. Joy, was an integral part of the team I worked with for a year to bring me to a better place after a dental injury. The techniques I have been given have even helped me breathe better and she got me into the right shoes my body needed. Who would have ever known?! Thank you , Joy!

I was a patient at The Physical Therapy place in November and December of last year when I was…read morereferred by my general practitioner for short term physical therapy on what was tentatively diagnosed as a torn meniscus. The Physical Therapy Place came highly recommended and luckily was in network for my insurance so I called to make an appointment. Located in an office building at the corner of 42nd and Laurel in the medical / university district, my first appointment involved arriving early and filling out the necessary background paperwork. I then met with Corina Carlson, PT, DPT who gave me my strength and flexibility assessment and discussed my medical background with me. Given I had been dealing with other health issues for the year prior, let's just say there were quite a few limitations. And my strength was next to nil. That didn't dissuade Corina however. We spent part of the 45 minute session working through 3 different exercises at the end of which I was given printouts and shown how to adapt them to home use as needed. Of course each session came with "homework." Which I diligently did almost every evening. We decided on a course of coming in once a week over a period of two months at which time everything would be reassessed. However often due to my work schedule some of those weekly schedules turned into bi-weekly. Which Corina would gently tease me about. Corina has a great personality and was very easy to work with. It was obvious from our first meeting she has her patients best interest at heart. The office is rather small and only consists of 2-3 physical therapists. But the office staff was friendly and insurance was billed promptly. Appointments were fairly easy to make. All in all this was my first bout of physical therapy and I was released for home care at the end of December when my knee started to show improvement. In the event I ever need PT again, I would definitely return to The Physical Therapy Place. And would whole heartedly recommend it to others.
