The service was perfect mostly because the choir sounds angelic and this reminds me a lot of the European Roman Catholic Church. This Basilica of Mary Queen of the universe is 4 minutes away from the Sheraton resort I'm staying at so very convenient location. The basilica is a very Beautiful church. It fits 2,200 people every mass. The entrance was designed to show how "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth"....truly amazing to learn about the process behind the design. Also, I loved how they had an organ for the hymns. Very spacious setting and seating. Very welcoming environment.

As soon as large amounts of money started flowing into the church, the problems started. Three years ago the music pastor/leader was doing great job, so he was fired. In much the same way, the youth pastor at the time was doing an equally good job and low and behold he was fired as well. However, this time, the Elders and head Pastor lied to the congregation by disparaging him, saying he could not conscientiously Pastor to anyone for some egregious personal behavior. This was a lie (confirmed to be a lie). Now three years later the new youth Pastor (1 year of service) has been dismissed as well, along with another lie. In my humble opinion, the reason for these issues are either vanity (no one can be more popular than I attitude on the part of Elders and Pastor) or greed (Salaries are too much to give away). In either case steer clear to avoid HeartAche at HeartCry!

We love the program and traditional gospel songs. Amazing choir. Most of the members are very welcoming. The Deacons, Sister Klyde, The Pastor's wife (She's a Minister, also) his daughter and the ushers go above and beyond the call of duty to make you feel welcome. I have never heard of being put on "Probation"before you can join a church. I felt sorry for a young lady at the altar ( Already on PROBATION ? Or taking the 1st step to join?) In front of the whole congregation the Pastor asked her: "Why do you like this church? She replied : "It reminds me of the church I grew up in. I like the traditional gospel songs, etc." Then he asked her: "Are You Saved? " It was so obvious she was embarrassed. She replied : Yes... He continued : "Are you SANCTIFIED? " I couldn't believe he would do this to a person standing at the Altar. She acted so surprised as she replied : " I think so." I am 67 years old, baptized at 11 years old, been on the battlefield for Christ most of my life. NEVER heard a Minister do this. He asked everyone to stand up. We sang a song. He then asked everyone to SIT DOWN that doesn't have a church home.. Again i felt this was putting people on front street. Praise God we still have a home church. I wondered why this church is so small. Beautiful program/music.He's been there 7 years. Service started at 11:00 a.m. ended apprx. 1:30 p.m. His Message was Uninspiring.
