We both grew up Catholic, but seemingly the Catholic Church wasn't resonating with us in our personal life as much so we were looking for something new and fresh. We stumbled upon this Church and never looked back. The community is welcoming, kind, and the Church is lively and beautiful. We look forward to the speakers and hearing Pastor Luke every Sunday. We literally would dread going to church before, but now are excited to go. I have attended several of their Women's Events, too, which have allowed me to grow in faith and in the community. Whether you look at it as a symbol of faith for a symbol of coming home back to Orlando, Florida, this cross is an amazing piece of the landscape of the City Beautiful. Yes I was vacationing but I still go to church on Sundays when I'm on vacation and this church felt a lot like my home church. There was definitely a large crowd and felt somewhat touristy with many people taking pictures and video of Elevation Worship. Yes they are amazing artists but the spoken word was amazing as well as the volunteer hosts. As a tourist and visiting guest, I appreciated the free t shirt, hospitality seating and parking since the church is located in a shopping center. I also appreciated that this campus had an actual pastor, live- in person and not a large screen of Steven Furtick preaching from Charlotte or pre recorded.

To begin with, Journey Church is a pretty big church with lots of visitors. They have plenty of parking and there are volunteers directing traffic. There is a tent for new visitors with lots of information. I got there while worshipping was happening and I felt the spirit through their songs. I loved how at home I felt by this. Immediately after it Pastor JJ Vasquez started preaching and, wow! He is funny, informative about the word, and keeps you fully engaged.

They meet in a small building while a larger one is being constructed, I believe. We felt welcomed by everyone and even got prayer and gained a couple friends! The staff and directors are so dedicated and faithful that it is so inspiring! Love them all so much! I love that you can get away from all the noise in your life and sit in the prayer room to study the word and pray in an atmosphere filled with God's presence and love! It's such a beautiful warm and welcoming place. It's also so comfy for studying and reading the word! My relationship with the Lord have never been the same after I signed up for the internship and for the FMA classes! I can truly say, I am forever wrecked with a greater understanding of my identity in Christ and my purpose! Everyone is so loving and caring.
