We went to a small church in Groveland and it didn't have that feeling we were looking for. We went to a big one in Clermont, it was too big, it felt more like a concert type of venue, lights, camera, action! We both felt the same way, we needed a church like the one back home, with a good message and a home feel with the presence of God. We were recommended to visit these churches as well as South Lake Church. When we went to South Lake Church and sat down we were thinking, "okay, this feels right", when we heard Pastor Brian preach we knew we had found our church, he is funny enough, down to earth, a very relatable Pastor that teaches the word with knowledge of the word of God. We found our home church and couldn't be happier, thank God.

While for some, the flashy lights and loud music can be a little off putting if you're not used to that, for me I don't mind it at all. Their praise and worship is always incredible and truly gives you the space to have a moment with the Lord. They have a very thought out kids ministry, with child care for all ages. Pastor Rick teaches from the Bible with some anecdotal based on his life experiences and through what I believe is the Holy Spirit. He has a soft and kind demeanor with incredible humor as well. The services aren't very packed and there are small groups throughout the week. This church is focused on reaching our youngest and most vulnerable, where a lot of the donations are used. Pastor Rick is an established pastor in Clermont,Fl he and his wife have been praying for this town far before most people even knew Clermont existed. Give it a chance if you're looking for a church home.

I've been to a lot of churches, and I found that it's not uncommon to be continually welcomed as a first timer even on your fifth visit. But that's not this place. It's a smaller congregation, probably 70-90 adults on a Sunday. Worship service starts with one worship song, then welcome, back into worship for like three songs, and then they do their teaching message, ending with announcements. The message does go longer than a typical church service message, but it also includes a gospel presentation and invitation to prayer at the end every week.

I understand every church needs to pay a certain amount of donation to the Diocese, however, the priest would keep you after mass for at least 10 mins to talk about it (Or before mass). Not one time, but many times. If your church is good enough, people will do it by themselves. And I believe God will take care of it. Remind one or two times is ok, every week, Please! Need to give credit to Fr Roy, he's a holy priest. Love to hear his preach.
