At first, I didn't want to do the Adult Day Program and the Social Program because of a past unpleasant experience. However, with encouragement and support, I gave it a shot--and I'm so glad I did. One of the highlights was attending camp in August 2024, which was my first time being away from my mom. It was a huge step toward independence for me. Through TDS, I am finally learning how to get my driver's license after a decade of trying. Unlike Social Vocational Services (SVS), which doesn't offer many life-skill services like driving, ICAN truly provides the tools for real independence. During the at-home portion of the independent living program, Sherri told me that I should use Access to get around, but for me, that wasn't enough. If I want to break into the entertainment industry, learning to drive is essential, and I genuinely believe ICAN is the program that will help me achieve that dream. If you're looking for a program that supports your goals and independence, ICAN is the way to go!

I hosted a baby shower at my backyard and didn't want to go with the traditional white tables and folding chairs. The packages they put together also made it super easy to imagine the set up and theme. Many of the pieces offered matched so endless combinations could occur. I had about 35 people over and the arrangement I rented was perfect. The gentlemen who delivered and picked up the furniture were also very helpful and nice. They were right on time both times. They helped arrange the furniture and asked multiple times if I wanted anything re arranged . Overall the experience was so easy and they are very! The furniture was well kept and very clean. Definitely recommend for your next party or event! I'm just bummed I forgot to take pics but the furniture made my yard look like it was straight out of a magazine!

Internal communication could use work though. There's always confusion when I call and they give me…read moreattitude sometimes when they can't figure it out. They don't communicate with each other. Always asking me who I spoke with, but it seems like there's a ton of people there because it's the answering service, or the person in accounting, or the main person. They ask me dates. Shouldn't that be in the system? Other companies don't have to do this. They need to find a way to put notes in the system so they can keep track of things. E.g., I left a message but it never got to the right person etc. A bit difficult to work with in that regard. Almost a year later, I am STILL dealing with them. They still send me bills for stuff I already paid for. When I email them to ask them about details, they don't get back to me. AVOID dealing with them. It is a headache!

I just ran into one of their employees in the parking lot of a 7/11 in west Los Angeles. When I…read moreparked he jumped out of his truck and began screaming obscenities at me claiming I had 'stolen' his parking space. I remained calm throughout his verbal attack on me, calling me all the names under the sun. Luckily we have choices, and this employee in an A-Frame uniform, driving an A-Frame truck, screaming with rage and anger at 6:30 am reminded me to be happy that there are other companies to choose from. This employee needs counseling, and/or Jesus in his life.

I'm gonna give it a three star because I'm grateful for the meetings that are held there on a…read moreregular basis although my last experience should've never happened and I couldn't even concentrate on the meeting I was there for but I haven't been back although I will go again my sobriety is important but something should be addressed about this issue. this happened in the coffee bar/snack area before the meeting I was there with others to get a Gatorade there was a pitbull blocking the coffee bar on a leash but unattended leash was not connected to anything an old man there which might own the place for all we know told me it was two dollars for the Gatorade and then when I spoke to him the pitbull jumped at me and tried to bite me but I jumped back and it missed me . I would have a hard time believing that's the first time that's ever happened and no one should experience that I think especially in a house of sobriety. Instead of apologizing all he said was if you're gonna pay with a card for a two dollar Gatorade you have to pay an extra dollar because it's a dollar for a credit card or you can give a dollar tip. Well if it was my place I actually would've apologize profusely put the dog outside which he did not do and said no charge for the Gatorade that's on me. That's just the right thing to do at the very least. I hope this means something to anybody that can make a difference keep an aggressive dog out of any public area. And for the records I did nothing to provoke this dog.
