NO, I would NOT recommend this company. The person who sold me the service was really good but that's exactly where it stops. Once they've got your signature and your monthly payments, which they collect with military precision, they do absolutely nothing. They have not even sent my transcripts I paid $500 for to start the process! I was first assigned someone I could barely understand, which made communication really difficult. I requested to be reassigned and was given a woman named Audrey. Audrey told me I wasn't allowed to communicate directly with the accountant -- everything had to go through her. That added an unnecessary layer of complexity. I explained my situation, requested transcripts I had paid for, and some additional documentation, and she assured me she'd get them to me. For two months, I received NOTHING. When I finally followed up, she said she'd lost her assistant and fallen behind, apologized and promised to send everything immediately. That was three weeks ago. STILL NOTHING. They clearly have my email and details correct as they send a message each month to say they will be taking the payment......FOR WHAT? So far, in 4 months, the only thing this company has done is collect my money. No documents. No service. No follow-through. No accountability. I paid Community Tax more than $4000 to help negotiate an IRS payment agreement and after promising in writing the agreement was in place, just received contrary notification from the IRS (tax lien) that nothing was in place and my life as I knew it is completely ruined. SIGN of scam/fraud -- Community Tax sends paperwork to IRS with e-signature, and the IRS keeps sending me the paper for a real signature. Doesn't Community Tax know that the IRS does not accept e-signatures in 2016? The IRS already granted me deferred status BEFORE paying Community Tax. Community Tax also got me deferred status. How many deferred status does one need? As long as you are honest, deal with the IRS directly. My chat with IRS through a series of questions gave me an idea of what the IRS defines as investment, cash, or asset. I reached out to Community Tax, LLC. from Chicago, Illinois back on November, 11th 2020. My case was untraditional as I'm more hands on than most. Community Tax did an investigation into my tax issue as part of their phase 1 program. I have to say that you can't get a CPA to look over your complete tax record for $250.00 as their phase 1 costs. I think more of the money might be made through phase 2 and negotiations with Federal and State agencies. I didn't sign for their phase 2 program because I thought of a different way to get the tax bill handled, but the overall cost as a percentage of the total tax bill was only 4 percent including the investigation. I never got a case number and when I called them they said they called and left messages but my phone never rang once, then they tried to blamed me for not filed my taxes properly ( isn't what I hired you guys for?) From Day 1 I should have ran the other way. I have 2 people working on my case with neither one understanding what the other person is doing or saying. They each tell me something completely different is happening with my case, and they self admittedly do not talk to each other. They tell me something in the beginning and then reverse course.
