I was in the area and came across Community Thrift Center. It is a big store with lots and lots of merchandise. As with most thrift stores it has a lot of clothing like 70-75% of the store. With that said the other 25% is a lot of merchandise. I would say the balance is excellent and there is a lot of great stuff to get. I love thrift stores and this one is one of the better I have been to in Pittsburgh so far. The staff where friendly and helpful. As previously stated big store lots of parking and good selection. Will definitely come here again in the future when near by.

But once you get past the overwhelming amount of stuff to look through, it's an amazing spot. They always have a wide assortment of jewelry and belts/accessories to look through. I got a cool vintage bronze gauntlet thing there once. The other time I went they had this vintage matching suit that fit me perfectly. And every once In a while they have trash bag sales where you can fill a whole bag for a flat rate (I think it was like $10/bag) Pictured below is a few of the pieces I've thrifted from there in the past

It kind of just blends in. Inside, I do have to echo what someone said, it's mostly clothing with small sections for odds and ends that include some housewares, electronics, and literature items. Like someone else said, you might find a gem of an item in here, but it may not be your go to establishment to thrift at. It is a lively space when you walk in here. It is run by volunteers and they are always in high spirits. It can actually be an entertaining time in here depending on who is manning the shop. Oh, the pricing can be very reasonable as well.

Parking lot is large and well maintained. It is nice to shop at this store. I find the service is much better at this location, I have never had any issues shopping at this location. The Red White Blue on Sawmill Run Boulevard is larger but it is often less organized, parking is always more difficult especially if the couple accessible spots are taken which they are the majority of the time. I am paralyzed and I have to navigate a road connecting their parking lots which is in awful condition, potholes and bad repairs making it very difficult. The front only had a curb cut at the front door so I have to roll through the parking lot where people are trying to back out and cars entering from 51, often I am lower than most of the vehicle parking there, they are looking for cars not a wheelchair. This is very dangerous for my safety. Closing time is also an issue with one of Male Cashiers being very rude on several occasions, shutting off the lights and telling people we are closing in 15 minutes. It has happened to me a couple times now with the same Male Cashier worker each time. It is not as pleasant to shop at the Route 65 location. I wish you have a better experience than I have shopping there.

Visited twice in three days and spent hours in the store finding the most amazing pieces. Store is well organized and the staff is absolutely amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager Carla today and she even picked out a pair of cowboy boots for me based on my style. The store runs daily tag deals that change throughout the week making some items a steal!
