So anyways, I went to the AFC Urgent Care in Wendell after I received a cut to my nose in a bicycle accident, which was not life threatening. The front desk receptionist asked me for $100 up front to be seen, and I told them to bill me later - the bill ended up being $191 instead of $100! But let me tell you what happened during the actual visit with the nurse whose name is listed as "Bunn, E" on the bill. She briefly looked at my nose and manipulated me into going to the emergency room at the nearby hospital. Her reasoning was that "our x-ray machine is broken" or some hogwash like that, when all I really needed was for them to fix up the wound. She used some incredibly coercive tactics on me, such as saying I couldn't leave the urgent care without signing a waiver first (???), and then having another lady watch over me in an attempt to prevent me from leaving. She practically bossed me into taking an ambulance to the hospital instead of driving there (I was perfectly capable of driving back home instead of that hospital or the urgent care), and I only agreed to it because I had ambulance insurance that would cover the whole cost of transportation. And the EMTs were pretty unprofessional too, asking me to sign a waiver that stated "I wasn't being kidnapped." Oh, and then the hospital billed my medical insurance $10,000, leaving me with a $2,300 bill for a 2 hour stay, and listed as an "auto accident" even when I told them multiple times that it was just a low velocity bicycle accident? All of you guys can really do better, especially when I wasn't being rude to anybody. In the itemized hospital bill, they are asking for $5,300 for a CT Scan, $252 for a Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis Vaccination, and $1100 for an x-ray. On top of that the doctor at that hospital billed me seperately (???) for $202? Please, try to take the maximum amount of money you could possibly charge from somebody else, not me please. Maybe from somebody with lots of spare change, robbers. Back to the original issue - the urgent care representative told me "the office manager will call you later," even when I requested to communicate via email, not by phone. They do not give a single damn about their customers it seems. Go ahead, have a good laugh at my expense, and post some glowing reviews to balance out your review average. But I object to most of these absurd medical bills you gave me.

I went to FastMed because I was concerned that I might have pneumonia, a respiratory infection, or…read moreanother respiratory illness. I specifically told the nurse practitioner that I was coughing up extremely thick sputum that was light green/light brown with a faint streak of blood in it. My temperature was normal and my oxygen level was 95%. The nurse practitioner listened to my lungs and said they sounded clear. However, no chest X-ray was done, no labs were drawn, and no swab or other testing was performed. I was not given a diagnosis. I understand that my lungs sounding clear and not having a fever were reassuring, but I was concerned about the symptoms I was having--especially the extremely thick, discolored sputum with blood in it. I went to urgent care specifically to find out what was causing these symptoms and whether I had pneumonia or another respiratory infection. I left without knowing what was wrong and feeling that my symptoms had not been thoroughly evaluated. I was very disappointed with the visit. Clear lungs doesn't mean no illness present.

He had 2 WEEKS to complete and return the forms to the Administrator. He completed the wrong form & turned it in LATE, causing my fiancé to almost lose his job. He had to schedule another appt. (and pay another copay) just to tell him what he did incorrectly. His FMLA was denied & then he completed the forms again & STILL filled it out incorrectly. He has no sense of urgency & he sent my fiancé to his friend who is a therapist. My fiancé didn't know this & later found out from Dr. McLendon that he knew what had been discussed in their private therapy session. Talk about unethical!!!! My fiancé didn't give the therapist permission to disclose any of his information to his PCP & they both were too busy gossiping than to complete the FMLA paperwork on time. I suggested that he find a new PCP because this one isn't ethical nor professional. I do not recommend at all!

I went in yesterday at my scheduled time. There was a new provider there & he was pretty friendly for the most part. He was thorough & more gentle than the regular lady I've been seeing. I barely felt it. It's a little annoying for them to keep asking my every visit why I get that injection when I've already said it multiple times AND have a script for it. Document it in your system or something. Anyway, I was super early, and he didn't see me early even with no one else waiting. So, don't expect to be seen much earlier than the time you scheduled. I was in and out though, so that was everything to me. I recommend this location for your medical needs. I haven't had a horrible experience like some of the other reviews. They work for me.
